MacGyver Mann
Each person on this planet is weird, unique and relatable in the most fascinating ways. Host, MacGyver Mann, interviews these people and make you feel like you know them even though you have never met them or heard of them.They start the episode by reading a short autobiography from each other and then dive into the things about who makes them who they are: their memories, histories, relationships, past traumas, therapy sessions, pursuit of happiness, and everything that makes a person tick. At the start of the episode you will feel like you want to ask, "Sorry, who are you?" and by the end you will say goodbye to a friend.
MacGyver is joined this week by his older brother, McKenzie Mann! They start off by swapping stories from their childhood, from driving to high school together to finding a mysterious turd next to a cactus on a family outing (sorry, mom!). As they continue talking, they get into some of the more serious matters of their youth with discovering who they are near their college years and their parents divorce and how it affected each of them. They end the interview with hindsight as 20/20 and how they would change any element of their past to be closer as brothers.
Podcast note: this was the first recording in Arizona, USA using new equipment and space, so the audio quality may differ from the previous episodes.
As a note from MacGyver: this episode is really a special experience for me as I was able to speak to my brother in an honest, open and vulnerable environment that marks such a growth in our relationship since returning from China in Nov 2023. Love you, Mac!

MacGyver is joined by Rae Lee wherein they go over her ventures into a variety of interests and hobbies, from her relationship-to-religion based poetry, bartending to playing football (soccer for the Americans) in Shanghai. Rae shares briefly about being a transwoman and how she is sometimes referred to as the "Trans Fairy Godmother". Rae also explores the topic of her performances in punk rock venues across Shanghai and how she is bending the limits of creativity in each act.

MacGyver is joined by a child of parents who immigrated to Queens, New York, USA, JoHannah, or "Jo". Jo introduces herself as, firstly, a Child of God, and the two discuss the importance of finding one's own journey to their relationship with a deity as opposed to relying upon others. They also talk about Jo growing up in a rather segregated community with a strong divide between the "black" and "white" sides of town; difficulties of growing up; and transparency of communication between parents and children.

MacGyver is joined by another polynesian, hailing from a mix of New Zealand and Australia, Tori Waiata. They drop into the conversation about a learning disability she was not told she had, dyscalculia, which MacGyver had never heard of. Tori breaks it down and gives examples of how she overachieved in other areas of schooling.
Being a late teen at the time of recording, Tori also describes her experience of moving across the world to a foreign country, China, for the first time in her life and how quickly she has had to learn to grow up... and how much she can quote from the movie "Coraline"

Elissa joins MacGyver Mann on this episode of Sorry Who Are You. They start off immediately discussing Elissa's background as an adopted child (who eventually played the titular role of Annie, even though Elissa herself was not an orphan). Then they move forward into the priviliges of their childhoods and how they make good on the circumstances they were given, not to forego the amount of dolls and toys that Elissa had as a child.
They continue forth further into Elissa's life and her self-discovery of her sexuality and how she has found her partner, Jenna, with an endearing story of friendship.

In this episode of Sorry Who Are You, MacGyver invites one of his longest term friends since moving to China, Yulai Liu. Born in Guangdong, China, he has a unique perspective on the world of cinema and swing dancing, two of Yulai's biggest hobbies. Yulai and MacGyver dive into what originally inspired their preferences in films (both have a certain affection for Jackie Chan) and also how their paths crossed with the improvised style of partner dancing, Lindy Hop, also known as swing dancing.

In this episode, MacGyver interviews a friend he has known for about five years, Chris Davis. Hailing from South Hampton in the United Kingdom, Chris had an upbringing with more than his fair share of difficulties, mainly revolving around an alcoholic father. Chris and MacGyver talk about how Chris has managed his relationship with his father, alcohol and his own growth and discovery of self.
In this episode, MacGyver sits alone on his couch due to scheduling difficulties and introduces a new segment of the podcast: MacGyver's Minute.
