Nameless: An Audio-Film: Recent Episodes

Nino De Vil

Sometimes everything is just a lot, and I want to sail on a boat to the middle of nowhere and sit in peace & quiet; I would like to call this an experiment, I am finding my feet one step at a time and having a lot of first-times. PD: I would call this an audio film, so maybe I will add it to the name of the podcast, but I am not sure.

SO,

As you may have guessed from the title of this episode, I'll be diving into 'Midnights' by Taylor Swift. I do not think this is her worst album, in fact, it is her most personal album to date and carries with it some of the burdens of stardom and the prices she has had to pay along the way.

Give it a thought and listen to the record, it is insane.

Hi,

I do not hate today's music, in fact, I love how progressive and how innovative music is nowadays but there's something of a trend going on as of late in the music world that I repent with my entire self. Listen to the episode, let's agree to disagree.

When we are up alone in our rooms the truth comes easier to us, the way we talk as if we were guest stars on a late-night show, I discuss the drawbacks of living in general. Looking for a job, following my dream, and how life isn't a fairytale as much as I'd like for it to be. Be cool, be nice.

Ontario is the most populous province in Canada and often as international students, we can feel lost and overwhelmed, but these feelings can be exponentially worse if living with toxic people (AKA my family).

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I hope that I'll be able to fix this as I am sure that I will complete my college education.

Maybe I do not belong here and I was looking for a fake-American idea that simply wasn't, still, Europe is where I'd rather be; Far far away...

The walls are caving in, in many different ways that begin to explain one of them symbolizes the death of another.

I am okay, I am fine. I will not go under without a fight.

As I am someone whose family history is all over the place and has left pieces of his heart in different countries, I am not sure I could ever call a place...well...home.

In true fashion, I am completely lost, no one likes me, and I am not good enough for me. At the time that I am writing this "letter", I have bleached my eyebrows, gone on a shopping spree, and am seriously considering taking a train to nowhere.

"Everything too shall pass" I do not care how much I have to say that, but it is true and everything will get better.

In this episode I discuss the struggles of being a people-pleaser, how I am trying to do things for myself, and talk about my ongoing battle with a North American capitalist society.

I am okay, it is not that I am perfectly fine it is just that there are a lot of voices in my life that becloud my way of thinking; My struggles with physical appearance, social anxiety, and the expectations surrounding who I ought to be are nothing short of disappointing.

I am finding my feet and hopefully 1 month in the future (perhaps 2) I could be living the life that I deserve.

It may seem weird talking to myself when no one is listening to this "experiment" but in a way this is not a cry for help, but a come-back-to-earth moment.

Thanks for listening if you made it through.

I have no clue what I said, but the moral of the story is that small changes do come a long way, and taking care of yourself is very important in order to be in a good mental headspace; Do nice things for yourself regardless of what anyone thinks/says of/to you
