It is a freaking election year and we are here to ring it in by live covering the NH primaries and giving our initial predictions for THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF OUR LIFETIMES (since the last one). We also have more harrowing, yet cautiously optimistic news out of Gaza and how the world is reacting to the ongoing genocide by Israel. Happy Holidays! Yes we're woke and won't say the true C word, damn Biden! We are back one final time for 2023 in our year end wrap up spectacular. This Friday is a very special holiday for everyone to celebrate around the world. It is National Landlord Day, meaning we get a whole day to celebrate everyone's favorite group of people! We have a special returning guest Sam here to tell you all one of the funniest stories about a terrible no good very bad day that may have led to a few of those months... We still have updates on the news as the world does not stop spinning, including another tragic mass shooting in Lewiston Maine, as well as how the situation is getting more and more dire in Gaza. Feel free to skip ahead to about 30 minutes in for the fun landlord stuff if you need a break from the world for a little bit we are here to lighten your days!
It only took 22 days but the US House of Representatives finally decided to get its sh*t together and elect a new leader, so the government theoretically can function... but will it? We also have updates on the ground in Gaza with the ongoing ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Including the leader of the United Nations condemning the actions of Israel, an Al Jazeera journalist tragically losing his family, and insufficient humanitarian aid finally being allowed to enter Gaza. All of this and some fun news to celebrate Halloween next week, we hope that we can give you all a mix of the real hard-hitting facts of the world with a mixture of light-hearted comedy to remind you all to smile even when the world is trying so hard to get you to scowl.

The same two stories as last week with more developments in both. We recorded this on October 18th at around 8 PM, so our opinions on newsworthy events very well may change with more information developing. From the beginning of the episode until about 41 minutes in, we discuss the Israeli War Crimes already admitted to by the IDF as well as the explosion at the Al-Alhi Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, and try to give as much context and confirmed information as possible, while also giving our opinions. Again we are fully willing to walk back any opinions made in this video about this information as the story develops further. In the second half of the show to lighten our moods and hopefully yours listening as well, we decided to cover the absolute s*it show that has become Congress under the GOP rule. Who is running for the speaker? Who's gonna win? Not even they know, but knowing that means fun times for all of us making fun of them. We totally understand if the graphic content at the beginning of this episode is not for everyone's best interest for their mental health. While I stand by the importance of informing as many people as possible about what we are seeing done to the Palestinian people, if you're mental health needs a break from chaos and destruction skip to the timecode above^.

Our 30th episode, and wow did the world feel it very important to cram as much news as possible into this last week for us. Between historic attacks from Hamas against the nation of Israel, and a historic vote to remove the 3rd most powerful person in the United States government, we have a lot to talk about. There are a lot of bad takes out there both left and right-wing (more on the right for sure) about how to think about these anti-colonial attacks against Israel and we wanted to get our name in the mix. Trying to give as much context as possible to those who may not know the historic oppression of the Palestinian people in the world's largest open-air prison, and what these attacks mean going forward. We hope that this will be at least an informational episode to give a broader context as to why these attacks happened and how we view them. Additionally we have to lighten our mood with the clown show that has become the United States House of Representatives and the GOP infighting because of course.
