This episode is a bit of an experiment. We're starting a series on the letter to the Colossians in the New Testament on Sundays. I'd like to bring you along on the journey of discovering what the passage is about by simply talking through the questions I have, things I've learned and the connections that I have made; as I look the the text. This is largely unedited and because I'm thinking, there might be "ums and aaahs." The idea is that you get to join me as I journey towards what I believe God is saying to me and what I will share on Sunday morning.
You can also help shape the discussion in the future by submitting any thoughts or questions that you have. Just read Colossians and email me your thoughts or questions. You can email me here.

When you think about the people involved in the Gospel stories, there are many "what if's?" When things are hard and it's even harder to understand what God is doing, sometimes it helps to ask "what if?" of some of the people in the stories of Jesus.  Bringing their stories to life can sometimes help us see the bigger picture of how what God is doing. This What if story is inspired by and comes from the wonderful storyteller Bob Hartman who wrote it in his book, Telling Bible Stories.
