Motivational Inspired In this channel, you will be Motivated, Encouraged, and Inspired throughout my Journey. I am not your average Motivation speaker. Some Motivated Speakers would rather tell you that you have to do certain things to become that person. I rather explain how I got where I am right now. Well, I am living that journey and dream. I break down typical topics that are current and relative to today's society in which we all go through. Motivation Inspired is now my business brand name. I am now looking to assemble a team that wants to live that dream.

The Way of the Conformed

The Conformed Christian has gotten caught up in the deceptions of this world. They have made a decision to pattern their life after the mold of the world. If you pattern yourself after the ways of the world what do you think will happen? You will discover that the pursuits of the conformed may look very similar to those of the world. Here’s how John frames it:

“For everything in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — comes not from the Father but from the world” (1 John 2:16).

The Way of the Conformed is all about experiencing the best this world has to offer at the expense of missing God’s best. The conformed Christian never gets to experience God’s best in this life because they settle for less. Their focus is on the things they see which are all temporary.

In the eyes of the world, they may appear successful because they have defined their success according to the standards of the world. However, if sacrifice and transformation are necessary to get to God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will, sadly they never get there.

I call this person a double loser. They lose out on God’s best in this life and they lose out on God’s best in eternity. This is the importance behind the meaning and context of Romans 12:2. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed is not just a nice idea – it will determine everything about your life here on earth and into eternity.

So “let go and let God” may seem simple, but it’s not. Still, that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. It doesn’t even mean that it has to be hard. It’s possible, if—and sure, that’s a fairly big “if”—you sincerely and prayerfully follow steps such as these:

1) Identify what you can control—and what you can’t.

2) Address what you can control.

3) Surrender what you can’t control.

4) Meditate on the promises of your faithful God.

5) Choose a “letting go” motto.

6) Resolve not to act on fear but on faith

7) Focus your mind and heart on trusting God today.

Prayer is important because it makes us more like Jesus and because it reveals to us the heart and mind of God.

When we look at the spiritual powerhouses of the past, we know that prayer was immensely important to them.

Clearly prayer was important to Jesus—it was his lifeline and his connection to the Heavenly Father. It equipped him for the battles he was about to face. It kept alive the intimate relationship that sustained him. And it revealed to him God’s desires and direction.

If the goal of a Christian is to become more like Jesus, that process should include imitating his actions and living out his words. As we pray, we will become more like Jesus, and we will find that prayer changes us.

Jesus prayed all night before selecting the 12 apostles (Luke 6:12-16), and he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to try to ascertain God’s will regarding what God was asking him to do. His time in prayer helped align his will with that of the Father, just as our time with God will do for us. After getting in touch with the heart of God and realizing how much he loves us, we will learn to trust him and value his insight and guidance.

As we spend time talking to God, he aligns our will with his, changing the way we experience a situation and respond to a problem.

Accountability is the practice of being held to a certain standard of excellence. It is the idea that an individual is responsible for their actions and, if that individual chooses unfavorable actions, they will face consequences. Accountability strives to promote a high level of work, promote honesty, encourage dependability, and garner trust from members around you.

Think about the choices you made today. How many of them were the result of thoughtful analysis, sorting through options, considering their potential effect on others, and setting aside your personal bias? How many were based on your own desire to get it done, taking the effortless way out, not being personally invested, ignoring how your choice might look or feel to others, or succumbing to peer pressure? Everyone wants to believe they’re capable of sound judgment, yet most of us can use a little help to make wiser decisions — even if we think we do fine as it is.

  • 1 Corinthians 1:30 – Jesus became to us wisdom from God.
  • Proverbs 29:11 – A wise man holds quietly back.
  • Ephesians 5:15-16 – Walk not as unwise but as wise.
  • 1 Corinthians 3:18 – Become a fool to become wise.
  • Isaiah 55:8 – God's thoughts are not your thoughts.
  • Romans 11:33 – God's wisdom is unsearchable.
