What do you want out of life? More importantly, how do you intend to go about getting it?
We all have so many wants. Some are very simple, such as wanting to lose five pounds in time for swimsuit season. While others, such as changing to a new career, are more complex. What’s interesting is that you can use the very same technique to get precisely what you want, whether your goal is big or small.
Visualization is the technique of picturing a goal in your mind in detail so that you can manifest this change in your life. Sound hard? Really, it’s not. By following these five simple steps, you’ll get exactly what you want in almost no time at all.
Engage Fully in the Vision
You absolutely must put yourself into the visualization as fully as you possibly can. Use all your senses and emotions to experience this vision in a way that is real to you. There can be no holding back here.
Experience Different Viewpoints
What does this visualization feel like to you? Experience it first as yourself so that you can connect emotions to actions. You want to feel every part of it. Now, step back and experience it again as if you’re watching yourself succeed from outside of yourself, like watching a movie. Why? This helps you to see details you might miss otherwise.
Live the Success
When you’re done with the visualization, it’s time to live the part. Become the person you saw at the end of the vision. How does that person move? Think? Act?
Reinforce the Message
Visualization needs need back-up to be successful. The world is full of negative influences, some of them finding root in your own mind. Keep your self-talk positive, use affirmations, and look for ways to constantly reinforce the vision in your mind without tearing it down.
Make the Vision Tangible in a Way You can See it
Creating a dream board or collage will set out your visualization in a place where you are constantly reminded of the experience. Seeing it over and over will also reinforce your goals and strengthen your resolve.
By following these steps, you’ll find you will find your dream becoming more and more solid. Of course, you’re going to have to put in the work to achieve what you want. However, by using visualization, you get clear where you’re going and how to get there.
Join us in this captivating episode of the PCI Reloaded Podcast as we delve into the art of self-discovery. Focusing comes in different forms for everyone, some like to listen to music to help them focus, while others want complete silence. Keep reading for four tips that can help you find your focus.
Have a Daily Plan
You should wake up every morning with a plan of what your day will look like. This doesn’t have to be a detailed schedule that outlines every minute. But having a plan in place will eliminate small decisions that can get you off track. Having a plan will also give you a clear goal for how your day should progress and end. Take time every evening to write out (not just in your head) the plan for the next day. It can include what you will have for breakfast through what order you will complete your work in. It may also be helpful to prep items such as meals, coffee, and clothing to keep you on track.
Moment of Enjoyment
Every day take at least a small amount of time to do something you really enjoy. This can be peace and quiet over your coffee in the morning, a piece of candy in the afternoon, or snuggles with a pet or loved one in the evening. Having that moment of enjoyment will give you a respite from all the to-do’s that fill your day and give you time to reset and prepare for what comes next.
Be Persistent
If a task isn’t coming easily to you, feel free to walk away for a few minutes or even a day. But be persistent with the process and don’t give up. Allowing yourself to bounce from task to task to avoid the difficult work will leave you with a list of half-done tasks and a brain that is running in a million different directions.
Have a Day Off
“There’s no rest for the wicked and the righteous don’t need it” is a familiar turn of phrase that praises the busy. But we all know that it isn’t the truth. We all need a day off to rest, reset, and recuperate. We also need time with our families and friends to fill our cups and remind us why the hard days are worth it.
Focusing better is both a mindset and a physical act that you must prepare your mind and body for. Be sure that you are doing everything in your power to set yourself up to the best of your ability.
When Michelle Gass ran Starbucks, she helped the company move into 33 countries. When she first joined the coffee-based firm, she was asked to get behind a new drink. Starbucks had just launched the Frappucino, and Gass was ordered to develop a growth strategy to make the drink popular.
What began as a side item now earns Starbucks more than $2 billion annually. That's the income from just one drink. To say that Gass' efforts worked out is obvious.
She had long ago come up with a belief about how to approach achievement. It can help with personal and career goals. Men and women of all ages and levels of education and success can use the same idea. It’s powerful in its simplicity.
What was the approach she took that created such a winner for Starbucks? It's one she's used successfully in her career working with many Fortune 500 companies. She says her mantra is ...
"Let's think of how big this can be."
She's a firm believer in thinking big. A lot of leaders will tell you this. If you're going to dream, why not dream big? It doesn't make any sense to think small when thinking big doesn't take any more effort.
It’s up to you, really. If you have a task or responsibility, shoot for the moon. You get to choose what you strive for in life. Aiming for big results can make your world better for you and everyone you care for. Accomplishing great things feels so rewarding. You might even surprise yourself with what you’re able to accomplish.
To start seeing the world as incredibly abundant. Don't think of lack or just enough to get by. Think much bigger and envision big change rather than small, insignificant change. Imagine big things in your life. What you consciously tell your subconscious ends up as action. Your subconscious drives your actions, and your actions are what create the reality in your life.
Gass knows this. When Starbucks purchased Seattle's Best Coffee, she employed her "think bigger" mantra. In just a single year, she took Seattle's Best from 3,000 distribution points to over 50,000. That's what happens when you think big.
If you want big things in your life, you've got to think big. Dare to think bigger than you could possibly imagine. Even if you come up short, you will have achieved so much.
You know how they say you should love your family, your friends, and your neighbors? Well, guess what? You should also love yourself! Loving yourself is not selfish or vain. It's actually super important for many reasons. Let me tell you why you need to love yourself and how it can make your life better.
Loving Yourself Helps You Love Others
The first reason to love yourself is that it helps you love other people better. Think about it: how can you give love to someone else if you don't have any love for yourself? How you treat yourself sets the tone for how you treat others. So if you are mean and harsh to yourself, you will probably be mean and harsh to others too. And that's not good for anyone. But if you are kind and gentle to yourself, you will be kind and gentle to others too. And that's how you build healthy and happy relationships.
Loving Yourself Prevents You From Burning Out
Another reason to love yourself is that it keeps you from burning out. Burnout is when you feel so tired and stressed that you can't do anything anymore. It happens when you neglect your needs and focus too much on others or your responsibilities. Self-love is the antidote to burnout. It means taking care of yourself, doing things that make you happy, and saying no when you need to. When you love yourself, you respect your limits and recharge your energy.
Loving Yourself Boosts Your Success
Do you have any dreams or goals? Loving yourself is a key ingredient for achieving them. This is because you can't succeed if you don't believe in yourself or your abilities. You need to love yourself and accept your flaws to use them as strengths. You also need to love yourself and learn from your mistakes to grow and improve. Loving yourself gives you the confidence and motivation to pursue your passions and potential.
Loving Yourself Makes You Happier
Last but not least, loving yourself makes you happier. It's hard to be happy when you don't like who you are or what you do. It's easy to be happy when you appreciate who you are and what you have. Loving yourself means being grateful for your life, being proud of your achievements, and being optimistic about your future. When you love yourself, you feel good about yourself and the world around you. And that's the key to happiness!
Loving yourself is not always easy, but it's always worth it. When you love yourself, you improve your relationships, your well-being, your success, and your happiness. That's why you should make self-love a priority in your life today!"
5 Behaviors of Successful People
1. Spend Time With Other Successful People
When you spend time with other successful people, you tend to adopt the behaviors and habits that they display. This often happens with friendships, which begin with a common trait and then expand to friends developing similar behaviors.
If you genuinely want to be successful, keep company with those who demonstrate the behaviors and habits you wish to emulate. As the saying goes, "if you are the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room."
This means that you want to continually build your network of friends that will help you grow and succeed.
2 . Be a Lifelong Learner
Successful people make it a habit of learning something new every day if not every other day. This is because knowledge creates new opportunities. Whether you wish to move up in the company you work for or create something new, learning is the key to success.
3. Change Your Mindset
Successful people understand the value of having a positive mindset in everything they wish to accomplish. You have the power inside of you to either sit in complacency or step up and find the success you want for yourself.
It's a matter of how you view yourself and your environment. When you choose to have a growth mindset, you can move mountains and accomplish anything you set your mind to.
Check out our episode on the benefits of a positive mindset for information.
While managing your time can be a challenge, learning how to do it effectively can make a huge difference in your life. Successful people know the importance of honoring their schedules and completing their most important tasks. Because of this, they purposely cut out things that are not a priority and learn to delegate tasks that others can do.
If you'd like to dive deeper, check out episode 28 where we share 5 simple tasks to help you manage your time effectively.
One of the most important behaviors to adopt if you want to be successful is setting goals focused on personal growth.
To be successful takes motivation, and you can greatly increase your motivation by focusing on small daily wins. While having long-term goals is essential, having short-term goals that get you to the longer ones are equally important.
In short, if you want to be successful, you need to change what you're doing. Taking the time to incorporate these five behaviors into your daily life can help you achieve the success you desire.
How to Communicate More Confidently
There are many ways we can demonstrate our confidence, but perhaps the most obvious example is when we are talking to an individual or a group.
Those who have low self-esteem or confidence are likely to mutter, to stutter and to avoid eye contact. Those who are highly confident and sure of themselves will speak clearly and with conviction.
So with that in mind, how do you go about communicating as confidently as possible and helping to ensure your message comes across well while also looking sure of yourself and of what you’re saying?
Here are a few tips that can help.
Speak Slowly
The first tip is to talk slowly. When we are nervous, we'll often speak quickly without even realizing it. This is a result of neurotransmitters being released which slow our perception of time and makes us susceptible to rushing.
Simply slowing down will greatly increase your sense of calm and authority. Not only that, but by giving people longer to hang on to what you’re saying will let your words have more impact and drama. This also suggests a trust in what you’re saying – it shows you aren’t worried people will stop listening – whereas rushing makes us seem like we’re worried people are just going to move on!
Watch any big celebrity talk on TV and you’ll notice they tell lots of stories and they always build suspense and use rhetorical questions. They’ll use repetition and leave big gaps. This takes huge confidence, but if you can pull it off, then you’ll have an audience eating from your hands!
Make Eye Contact
One of the most important things you can do to demonstrate confidence as you speak is to maintain eye contact. This is true if you’re speaking with just one person and it shows that you aren’t afraid to meet their gaze and to speak to them as equals. It’s also true if you’re speaking to a crowd however, in which case you need to look at everyone and to ensure they are all following and feel included.
Be Congruent
Finally, remember that communication is only somewhat verbal. More of what we mean is conveyed through body language and this is why it’s so important that your body language reflects what you’re saying. Be passionate and let your arms do the talking along with the words you’re saying. You’ll appear more honest, more confident and far more engaging!
An empathetic person can identify with what someone else is experiencing. They may have had the same experience before. This isn't necessary to practice empathy. You might just be very good at putting yourself in another person's mindset.
Someone tells you they lost their job. They're going through so many different negative emotions. They're concerned about their mortgage payment and other financial issues.
A person that loses a dream job could start wondering what happened. It took them a long time to get the job they always wanted. They might have been a great employee. Then something occurred that was out of their control. Perhaps the company went bankrupt.
This individual could start questioning his own role in the failure of the company. A ton of different negative emotions might be experienced. The empathetic person is able to fully embrace the emotions the other person is going through even if they've never lost a job before.
You might want to help your friends and family members by displaying more empathy. You care about them and want to help them when they're in need. If that's the case, simply put into practice the following three-step technique for showing empathy.
Step 1 – Listen Actively
You might be a good listener. But are you an active listener? Do you just sit there with a blank expression and take in everything that's being said?
An active listener uses body language, facial expressions, and eye movement to let the person speaking know that they're engaged and present. They are truly and deeply listening.
You use open-ended questions to try to get more information from the speaker. Active listening uses anything at your disposal to get the speaker to share more information. You communicate to that person that their feelings are understood.
Step 2 – Validate the Experience
People often tell you what's on their minds because they want you to validate what they're saying. They need to know that it's okay to have certain feelings or think a specific way. When you validate a tough situation someone's experiencing, you let them know they're not alone.
You validate an experience by adopting the same feelings and emotions. Tell the person that you're sharing the experience with them and that it's okay. They should recognize whatever emotions are happening. Then the empathetic person tries to figure out what can be done to fix the problem.
Step 3 – Offer Advice
Empathy is a two-part process. You take on the perspective of another person. You develop an understanding emotionally of what that person is going through. The second part involves action. You provide assistance of some kind. You try to help the person with their struggle.
One way you can do this is by offering smart advice. Remember to think about their situation and not yours. Don't include any bias or judgment. Put yourself in their shoes and then give them advice to help them out of their problem.
Showing empathy means you care. It tells people you're putting your own interests aside for a while. The three-step process we just covered can help you show empathy to the people you care about. You'll find that you benefit as much as they do by making an emotional connection.
You can’t believe they did it. Of all people, turning on you this way. You want to react in kind, drawing on the anger flowing through you to lash out. Make the other person hurt every bit as much as you do right now.
Wait a minute. You can’t. You’re not that person. You don’t want to BE that person. You’re better than this.
But how do you stop anger in its tracks before it gets the best of you?
Take a Walk
The physical act of walking will burn off some of the adrenaline while getting outside, giving you a distracting change in scenery. And it works even better if you’re walking away from the object of your anger. Sometimes all you need is some space.
Pay Attention to your Muscles
Like walking, exercise is good. Also, anger tends to tighten you up, so a good stretch, or even better practicing progressive muscle relaxation, will knock the tension out.
Say Something
Choose a pet phrase or mantra which calms you. Say it several times, slowly, and deliberately to put your focus elsewhere.
Visualization
Escape somewhere else. Remove yourself from the situation that has made you mad and find a quiet place where you can visualize something peaceful. Build in as much detail as you can to make it as real as possible. Stay in this vision until you feel yourself start to calm down.
Do Something Grand
Take your anger and turn it into activism. How can you use this to change the world? Sign (or start!) a petition. Volunteer. Get involved in the community and make the world a better place.
Write About It
Journaling can help you to work through your emotions in a way that might even help prevent you from getting mad the next time around. Understanding what it was about the event which triggered you will help reshape the trigger entirely.
Switch Perspective
It can be hard to use empathy when you’re upset. But if you can see things from their perspective, it might help you to calm your response. Many times anger comes from misunderstanding the situation.
Forgive
This technique falls under expert level of anger management. By being the bigger person and forgiving the other, you’ll find you no longer have reason to be mad at all.
The key to all of these is simple: don’t let anger take control. The last thing you need is for you to fall under the power of negative emotion. Use the anger to make a better place or let it go entirely. In the end, you’ll be happier you did.
Do you ever feel like you're stuck in a rut, doing the same things over and over again, without really enjoying them? Do you ever wonder if there's more to life than following the rules and expectations of others? If so, you might be ready to challenge the status quo and live a more fulfilling life.
The status quo is the way things are, the way things have always been done, the way things are supposed to be done. It's the norm, the standard, the accepted. But sometimes, the status quo can be limiting, boring, or even harmful. It can prevent you from exploring your true potential, expressing your authentic self, or pursuing your passions.
Challenging the status quo means questioning the assumptions and beliefs that underlie the current situation. It means daring to think differently, act differently, and be different. It means breaking free from the constraints of convention and conformity, and creating your own path.
But how do you challenge the status quo and live a more fulfilling life? Here are five ideas to get you started:
Define your own values and goals. Don't let society or others tell you what you should value or what you should aim for. Instead, reflect on what matters to you, what makes you happy, what gives you meaning. Then, align your actions with your values and goals, and pursue them with passion and purpose.
Seek new experiences and perspectives. Don't settle for the familiar and comfortable. Instead, expose yourself to new ideas, cultures, people, places, and activities. Learn new skills, try new hobbies, travel to new destinations. You'll discover new aspects of yourself and the world, and expand your horizons.
Challenge your own assumptions and biases. Don't accept everything you think or believe as true or right. Instead, examine your own thoughts and opinions critically, and be open to changing them when faced with new evidence or arguments. You'll develop a more nuanced and flexible mindset, and avoid falling into dogmatism or prejudice.
Speak up and stand up for what you believe in. Don't be afraid to express your opinions or preferences, even if they go against the grain or upset others. Instead, voice your views respectfully and confidently, and back them up with facts and logic. You'll assert your individuality and integrity, and inspire others to do the same.
Experiment and innovate. Don't stick to the tried and tested methods or solutions. Instead, explore different possibilities, test different hypotheses, invent different products or processes. You'll unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills, and make a positive impact on yourself and others.
Challenging the status quo is not easy or comfortable. It takes courage, curiosity, and commitment. But it can also be rewarding and fun. It can help you grow as a person, find your purpose in life, and make a difference in the world.
When you want to create a better day for yourself, you need to start out where you begin. This means having a morning routine at work as well as at home.
Think about this for a moment. A morning routine at home will set you up for success by getting you out of bed and ready to transition into wakefulness.
Likewise, a morning routine at work can get you settled into a mindset of getting work done and ready to face the work world. Think of it as a series of steps designed to transition you into productivity.
How can you do this?
Start with How You Get There
Don't arrive stressed out at the very last second. To set yourself up for success, it's important to arrive with time to spare after a relaxing commute. Strategize to make this happen by allowing enough time to get where you need to go. Also, consider your route. Heavy traffic or construction is always more stressful in the long run, so you might want to adapt your route to a quieter one to reduce unwanted stress.
Schedule Check
What do you have going on today? What work is expected from you by what time? Get a mental picture of the day by noting what needs to happen when.
Set-Up
What needs to happen so you can get your work done? Are you lacking supplies or resources? Are there things you might need to delegate? Taking a few minutes to track down these items will help the rest of your day run more smoothly.
Habit Check
What detractors are already pulling at you, trying to derail your day? If you're someone who checks your phone often or can get caught up socializing with coworkers, think about how you can limit these activities as part of your routine. For example, you might want to schedule email checks at certain times or limit socialization to break times.
Make a List
Jotting down the 3-to 4 big items you want to get done today will help give you a clearer view of what needs doing and set up your goals.
Get Comfortable
Before you buckle down to work, do you need coffee? A Bathroom break? Do these things now, so you don't have to break concentration later. Also, take a minute to stretch if you haven't yet.
Begin
Time to get going. Take the first item on your list and dive in, concentrating fully on what you’re doing.
Of course, adapt your routine to fit whatever you need to get started for the day. The key here is to be intentional in your actions, shift your mindset, and set yourself up for success. Do only what works for you.
Using Challenges to Develop More Discipline
One way you can develop more discipline is to use challenges. This makes it more like a game and less like a chore. Also there can be the element of competition with others and having others help hold you accountable which improves your odds of success.
Challenges are very popular and you can find them in many places. Or you can make up your own and share it with a group of people. You also can make your own challenge or use one from someone else to just challenge yourself. However you end up doing it is up to you.
When looking to see if a challenge will be useful to you, there are some factors to look for, so you can best benefit. Is the challenge realistic? You want to stretch yourself, but not to the point where you have no chance of success. For example you could challenge yourself to lose 30 pounds in 30 days, but that is not very realistic. You also want the challenge to not be too easy. You need to see if you have the time to devote to it. Be sure to include time for learning new things, For example if you challenge yourself to build a new blogging website in 30 days, remember that if you have never done one before, you will have to learn some things and that will be extra time above just writing the blog posts,
If the challenge is a large one over a longer period of time, are there clear-cut milestones along the way to help you have a sense of accomplishment? If your challenge, for example, is losing 60 pounds in a year, you need to set up smaller weight goals along the way so you can keep up the momentum. Milestones also help you see if you need to tweak the challenge, either lower or higher. If you lose 10 pounds in about 2 months, you are right on schedule, If you have only lost 5 pounds in that same time period, though, you may need to lower the amount you plan on losing in a year. Now if you lose 15 pounds in 2 months, you may want to raise the amount you plan on losing in a year, or cut the time down to say 10 months.
When you do a group challenge, you have some added benefits. There is a sense of camaraderie when working together on a goal that you do not get just competing with yourself. Other people can give you ideas, too. For example if you are in a group losing weight, people can share healthy recipes and support. Just remember that the primary person you are in competition with is not the others, but yourself and you can really enjoy doing a group challenge.
Using NLP To Handle Criticism
Before we get started, it's important for you to realize that there are two types of criticism. The first of these is constructive criticism which will assist you. You need to distinguish this from negative or bad criticism where the person criticizing is doing it with the intent of putting you down.
The world is full of people that will pass judgment on you. So you need to know how to deal with negative criticism effectively so that you maintain a positive state. People often negatively criticize because they are jealous of what someone has achieved or have.
Negative Criticism
Negative or destructive criticism is around us all of the time. The media and the newspapers make sure of that. These people are always hiding behind “the public interest” and if you were to ask them directly, they'll tell you that they're just doing their job.
Sometimes destructive criticism is warranted, but most of the time it isn’t. It not only occurs in the media but can happen at your place of work and in social situations. You may face direct negative criticism or indirect criticism by way of an innuendo. Whichever the method of delivery you need to be on your guard.
Negative Criticism Situations
Due to its competitive nature, there will always be competitors in business that will want to criticize you. Unscrupulous competitors are everywhere and they will do everything that they can to try and put you down.
Then there's the workplace. Some of your “colleagues” will want to negatively criticize you because you are seen in a more favorable light than they are. Maybe you just got a new promotion – you will need to watch out because the critics will be lining up to badmouth you and bring you down.
Not all bosses handle criticism well, and you may find yourself unjustly criticized for something that was not your fault. A lot of companies like to go on a “witch hunt” when something goes wrong, and then they need to find a scapegoat that they can lay the blame on.
Probably the hardest form of negative criticism to handle is when it happens in social situations. Many people have family members that will criticize them no matter what they do. This can be particularly demoralizing. In other social situations, friends will try and put you down to impress others – particularly members of the opposite sex. Criticism from a good friend can really be hard to take. When you have known someone for a long time and they suddenly criticize you, it can take you by
surprise.
Dealing with Negative Criticism
The secret to dealing with negative criticism is to be flattered! Most people will criticize you unfairly because they're envious of something you have or something you've done.
Be flattered that they are centering their attention and energy on you and continue to walk the moral high road. Just keep doing what you do best and don’t bite. Remember that this criticism is probably borne out of jealousy, so be true to yourself and maintain your normal stance.
If you do find yourself listening to negative criticism, then just brush it off as an opinion that isn’t right. They are entitled to their opinions just as you are, and when you dismiss them as inaccurate, your current state will remain intact.
Think about the Inadequacy of the criticizer
People often are thinking about their own inadequacies when they negatively criticize. It makes them feel better about themselves to hurl negativity towards others. Imagine the inadequacies that these people have, and feel pity for them rather than anger.
You can't control what other people say to you and when they say it. It may be a very unfair criticism, but you need to choose to not let it concern you. You can control the way that you respond to negative criticism, and this will help you maintain a positive state.
In this episode, we will debunk some of the most common myths and misconceptions about NLP, such as that it is manipulative, that it doesn’t work, or that it is the same as therapy.
The Benefits Of A Positive Mindset
You feed your physical body with "good food", you feed your car with "good fuel", so why not feed your mind with "good thoughts" as well. After research in the 1950s, it was concluded that having a positive mindset would help maintain good physical and mental health, increase longevity and promote success in personal and professional life.
See "the bright side"
Positive thinking is closely related to the concept of optimism. Someone who sees the world in a positive light and sees the "bright side" will feel healthier mentally and physically than someone who thinks negatively, anxious, or even depressed.
Positive thinking is not a new concept. It is a therapeutic method based on autosuggestion and which aims to make the subject adhere to positive ideas. By repeating positive messages twenty times a day, the individual is supposed to achieve well-being and achieve optimal health.
Better Health
Thought can act directly on the body. When you replace negative thoughts with calm, confidence, and peace, you feel good. Additionally, positive thinking can be helpful in overcoming sleep disturbances, muscle tension, anxiety, and fatigue. People who think negatively suffer more from depression and anxiety.
Prevent Stress
Many managers are already followers of positive thinking and integrate it into their businesses: well-being seminars, relaxation coaches, specialized psychologists, etc. The benefits are quite amazing, and one of the major benefits of a positive mindset is that it protects against the harmful effects of stress.
It makes it possible to regulate the consequences and to find the right dosage at work, so as not to be overwhelmed. You learn to know yourself better, to better understand your resources and to concentrate on the tasks that you want to achieve. In short, we learn to be more efficient and above all, we know how to say stop when necessary.
A more favorable living environment
A positive attitude can also influence the way you conduct your life, which in turn has an effect on your health. If you are going through a particularly stressful time, you will be less likely to pay attention to your diet, exercise and sleep.
Instead, you will be more likely to compensate for the stress by drinking alcohol or snacking on junk food. These lifestyle elements are also risk factors for cancer and other diseases.
Longevity
Optimists live longer and healthier lives. Countless studies prove it. In the 1930s, psychologists at the University of Kentucky were able to determine that subjects identified as the most optimistic had lived, on average, ten years longer than the less positive, and they were in better health. Also, the power of positivity with healing is well documented.
Psychological Well-Being
Positive thinking has a positive effect on the survival of sick people as well as that of healthy people. However, having a positive mindset predisposes to exhibiting behavior that is also more "positive" in terms of health. Indeed, studies show that this frame of mind is accompanied by more virtuous behaviors.
Of course, we don't get sick just because of stress, our emotions or our thoughts. But, we can now say that many symptoms and diseases are affected by our thoughts and behaviors. Thoughts are of great power. They have always shaped our life. Think positively, and expect favorable results. The situations and circumstances will change accordingly!
Here's the first part of a 3-part series on how to develop self-esteem through personal transformation.
Most people associate hypnosis as something that you do on other people. However, this is only half the story. You can perform hypnosis on yourself and reap massive benefits for your own personal wellbeing. In the case of self-hypnosis, you're both the subject and the hypnotist, which can seem a bit daunting at first. Like anything else, if you choose to practice it then you will get better at it, and it will indirectly make you a better hypnotist overall.
There are a lot of crazy, unfounded myths that surround Hypnosis. In today's episode, our goal is to dispel some of these claims and show you that hypnosis is perfectly safe and natural. There are 6 myths that we cover but my personal favorite is number 5.
If you were to ask 100 hypnotists how they would define "hypnosis", you would probably get 100 different answers, even if it's only slight variations. Our goal isn't simply to give you another definition of hypnosis to chew on but a general overview of what hypnosis is. You'll come to find out that you've been doing hypnosis practically your entire life.
In this episode, we go over the life and times of Fritz Perls, the co-founder of Gestalt Therapy and one of the 3 original models of NLP alongside Milton Erickson and Virginia Satir.
Virginia Satir was born on June 26, 1916 in Neillsville, Wisconsin. She was the oldest of five children born to Oscar Alfred Reinnard Pagenkopf and Minnie Happe Pagenkopf.
She’s globally recognized as the “Mother of Family Therapy”. She was also a prolific author and one of the 3 original models of NLP, along with Milton Erickson and Fritz Perls.
She is also known for creating the Virginia Satir Change Model, which is a psychological model she developed through her clinical studies. This model became especially popular with the change management and organization gurus of the 1990s and 2000s to define how change impacts organizations.

Anchoring is how we link 2 things together. It forms the basis of how we learn new things. We do anchoring all the time, whether we realize it or not. NLP just formalized the process and made it easily accessible. Anchoring is considered a fundamental NLP technique and you’ll find it taught at nearly every NLP certification training. Once you get the hang of it, you can use it in just about any situation imaginable.

Modeling lies at the heart of NLP. It was through the process of modeling that the Milton Model and Meta Model were created. The idea behind modeling is simple: You find someone who has above-average skill in a particular domain, you figure out how they do it, and you install that skill either in yourself or other people.
