The program engages in topics of health and wellness particularly through the lens of various intersecting industries. It is within these crossroads that we explore the vast information and potential complexities of navigating healthcare in our modern world.

Joe is a native of South Philadelphia graduating from LaSalle University, and then earning his Law degree from Widener University.
Rebecca Maury MD FACPis board certified Internist and Hospice/Palliative Care physician where she is the founder of Threshold Collective that provides clients with support in medical decision making and end of life planning, direct support to the dying, home vigils, grief support, and celebrations of life.
Dr. Maury has been deeply interested and involved in the world of complementary and alternative medicine leading her to enroll in academic programs for therapeutic bodywork and clinical herbalism as well as for psychedelic-assisted therapies at the California Institute for Integral Studies. She has also completed MDMA-assisted therapist training through Naropa University.
Last but not least Dr. Maury is the founder of Herbal Care Rx, which provides low-cost medical cannabis cards and consultations for cannabis based symptom management.
Mr. Adam Barrist is owner of Barrist law firm located in Media & Bala Cynwyd, PA as well as Marlton, NJ. He is a veteran personal injury trial lawyer licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Adam has been recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in PA, earning multi-million dollar cases for his clients.
Adam is that he lived in France for a good portion of his life and is fluent in French. He enjoys writing as well authoring a fictional legal thriller novel, The Concrete Lawyer, and is currently working on a sequel.
Adam is a graduate of The Episcopal Academy, obtaining an undergraduate degree at University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree at Villanova University.
Felicia is a licensed physical therapist and has been passionate about the nature of movement and function of the body very early on in her life. One of her areas of specialty include post surgical rehabilitation, orthopedics, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and lymph-edema management. She is high trained in breast cancer reconstruction, as well as, general rehabilitation for ventral trunk patients.
In the spirit of Reboot Integrative Wellness Center, Felicia has embodied an integrative model through venturing into a variety of mind-body approaches including becoming a certified yoga instructor and mindfulness meditation teacher as well as obtaining certification as a medical cannabis educator.
Community service is important to Reboot and Felicia, therefore she hosts educational events for seniors, veterans and other patient population groups promoting stress management, medical cannabis education, mindfulness techniques and body awareness through movement.
Felicia is a graduate of the High School of Creative and Performing Arts and Beaver College, a.k.a. Arcadia University. She is a native of Philadelphia and loves spending time with her children as well as with her golden retrievers.
Ms. Janice Pompey is currently senior marketing growth consultant for Dedicated Senior Medical Center where she advocates, build collaborations, educates and empowers the senior community. It is her Ultimate goal to ensure that all seniors have access to affordable quality healthcare.
Janice grew up in Philadelphia and graduated with a B.S. in Health and Hospital Administration from Penn State University and later received a Master of Art in Organizational Dynamics and Leadership.
Mr. Ken Yang, Esq. is CEO of Penn Asian Senior Services (PASSi), a provider of aging services based in Southeastern PA whose mission is to promote the well-being of Asian-American seniors disadvantaged by their language and cultural barriers. A native of Philadelphia, Ken earned his undergraduate degree at University of Pennsylvania and law degree at Temple University. Ken finds great meaning in being able to facilitate programs that enable and empower a diverse group of older adults to age independently in the communities of their choice.
Mr. David Berman has been a trusted member of Matkoff & Shengold since 1994 and has served as head of both the Workers Compensation Section and the Civil Litigation Section. In the course of his over 25 year career as head of the Worker’s Compensation Section, David has taken hundreds of cases to decisions and settlement. As a voice for the “underdogs”, David relishes his role as an aggressive advocate for the injured against the Goliaths of the insurance industry.

Mike Hogue is Director of Marketing and Communications at Arden Theatre Company. He most recently spent 3 as the Communications and Audience Engagement Manager at Walnut Street Theatre, America's Oldest Theatre - and a short stint at America's Oldest Summer Theatre, Gretna Theatre. At both theatres, he supervised all print and digital advertising, publicity, and community engagement/partnerships. He first joined the greater Philadelphia arts community as the Marketing Manager (later as the Director of Marketing) for The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. A classically trained musician, Mike has traveled the world performing sacred and operatic works and is happy to call Philadelphia's Center City his home.
Aaron Friedman and his wife Lisa, will be joining us, remotely, for our next Reboot Radio Hour. During this episode we are going to have an important and honest conversation about Aaron’s recent ALS diagnosis. Aaron, a Philadelphia native, now living in Southern California, was diagnosed approximately one year ago. Both Aaron and Lisa are looking forward to sharing their experiences and challenges, going through this life altering diagnosis, being an ALS research study participant, and keeping their emotional and physical stamina up as a patient and caregiver.

Lisa has studied human behavior since 1976. She was the first group of women to train side-by-side with men in U.S. Army Medical Service Corps bootcamp and achieved the rare honor of being appointed Company Commander of a 200-bed surgical field hospital as a 1st Lieutenant. In addition, her expertise in the creative arts has led her to spearhead a Global Community Improvement project to preserve skills and create economic viability for an indigenous artform in Mongolia.
David began his professional career as an attorney, operating a successful solo law practice for 18 years. He then served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia's DA office. In 2011 he was elected to serve as an At-Large City Council Member of Philadelphia. David is the first Asian American to hold political office in Philadelphia, and as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, the only veteran serving on the Council. He is extremely active in the community where he has spearheaded initiatives to support the creative arts, music and fashion and as well as boost the city’s economy through international investment to Philadelphia. David & his wife have 4 children residing in SW Philadelphia on the same block where he has lived since 1963.

David's events are sometimes affectionately referred to as "Love Soup" because of the profound sense of peace that is often felt among the group. David facilitates these events for the general public, for couples, and within organizations.

Alek is the owner and founder of OptiMom™, a women’s health and nutrition private practice. He is a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified strength and conditioning specialist and specializes in women’s health, preconception and fertility nutrition, prenatal nutrition, and postpartum nutrition. In addition to his private practice, Alek is a doctoral candidate in nutritional sciences and working on the completion of his dissertation. He is a Philadelphia suburb native, married, and father of one (with another on the way). Alek is a health enthusiast, avid scuba diver and mountaineer, and dog lover.
Cara Frank, L.OM., is an acupuncturist, herbalist, businesswoman, and author. She was raised in a health food store in Brooklyn, NY. When she was 8, she cartwheeled 5 miles from Greenwich Village through Soho and Chinatown and across the Brooklyn Bridge. For 40 years, Cara has had the same crazy passion for Chinese medicine. At 17, she had her first acupuncture treatment. At 20, she enrolled in acupuncture school. In 1998 she went to China to study, where she fell deeply in love with East Asian Herbs. Since then, she has devoted her life to studying and teaching the topic.
Cara is the founder of Six Fishes Healing Arts in Philadelphia, where she maintains a busy acupuncture practice and acts as the head fish of a warm and lively office. She is the president of China Herb Company and, in 2021, launched China Herb Seminars. Cara has published articles in international journals and is the author of TCM Case Studies: Eye Ear Nose and Throat Disorders.
Dr. Bornfriend is a triple Board-Certified Psychiatrist (Adult, Child and Adolescent, and Forensic Psychiatry), a specialist in psycho-oncology after spending nearly 10 years at Cancer Treatment Centers of America as the only psychiatrist, a thought leader in the medical cannabis space, and a prescribing physician/ psychedelic assisted psychotherapy facilitator. She has recently joined the Yang Institute for Integrative Medicine providing psychotherapy and medication management as well as supervision for Spravato, TMS and NeuroEmotional Techniques practitioners, with the intention of developing a medical cannabis program and enhancing the psychedelic assisted psychotherapy program.
As the newest co-owner and managing partner, Felicia’s involvement evolved Reboot into a majority women/minority owned business.
Felicia has been a licensed physical therapist for 30 years. She became passionate about movement and function of the body as a young dancer. This led her from the High School of Creative and Performing Arts to Beaver College, a.k.a. Arcadia University. Over the years, she has honed a unique skill set integrating exercise and manual therapy with a mindfulness approach.
Felicia’s areas of specialty include post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedics, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and lymph-edema management. She is high trained in breast cancer reconstruction, as well as general rehabilitation for ventral trunk patients.
As a certified cannabis educator, Felicia developed an opioid reduction therapy model in addition to helping physicians & patients learn about the PA and NJ Medical Cannabis programs. Recently she expanded her toolbox, becoming a certified yoga instructor and meditation teacher. These disciplines are integrated into her patient care plans.

Ron Millward is the Founder and President of Balanced Veterans Network. He is a people-first passionate creative dedicated to creating a safe space for the education, advocacy, and empowerment of alternative therapies for veterans and their families. Ron grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and enlisted in the United States Air Force at 17 years old. He served for seven years as a combat vehicle operator and an aerospace flight medic. During that time, Ron moved over 33 times and deployed to Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea. After struggling with combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and struggling with the loss of friends to suicide, he decided to separate in hopes of finding a new direction in life by helping people find mental freedom. From 2014-2019 Ron tried to find purpose by working as a Creative Pastor for various churches around the United States. After still struggling to find peace of mind, he was recommended cannabis this was a powerful tool for his healing, among other alternative therapies. In 2018 “Balanced Veterans,” formed with a board of other combat, service-connected veterans. As a community, they channel their collective passion for helping people into the veteran community that desperately needs direction and resources. Balanced Veterans Network continues to partner with other organizations to reach veterans and family members and provide education and tools to find a new path toward mental freedom.
Mr. Narine is an A.V. rated attorney who handles a variety of commercial matters including commercial disputes, antitrust and competition issues, business entity formation, asset purchases and sales, and real estate transactions. Prior to forming Small Axe Advisors, a boutique law firm located in the Philadelphia Area, Mr. Narine was a partner at the law firms Salmon, Ricchezza, Singer & Turchi LLC, Lauletta Birnbaum LLC, and was a founding partner of Meredith & Narine.
More recently, Mr. Narine represents cannabis businesses, from the application and initial start-up phase through product development and marketing and has developed an extensive network of cannabis industry participants. Krishna has also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States, including commercial and antitrust related disputes on behalf of clients engaged in a wide variety of businesses, including pharmaceuticals, oil field equipment, memory chips, liquid crystal displays, insurance, gas station franchises, medical transportation, POS transactions, and logistics and shipping. Mr. Narine also litigated gasoline pricing cases against major integrated oil companies and was actively involved in complex antitrust litigation for over thirteen years, playing a prominent role in two of the largest antitrust cases in history.
