“We’re not all the same, but we are the same kind of different” …
During my university’s coverage of the Leicester Comedy Festival 2022, I got the amazing opportunity to interview Ian Hall. A local stand-up comic who proudly displays his Neurodiversity within his comedy with his show ‘An Hour of ADHD Ian’, we discussed disability, neurodiversity, his thought process when preparing a set and most importantly, that there are worse things in the world than being called Ian. Honestly, this was such a fun interview to produce; cheers Ian!

In 2014, I started my GCSEs with access to disability support. I met Jamie Sykes, a very talented musician and drummer and a teaching assistant at that point in his life. After two years of amazing conversations and support with my education, Jamie told me he was leaving his nine-to-five to take the jump into full-time musical wizardry! In the Spring of 2022, I produced two documentaries hoping to educate myself and others about the realities of living with a disability. In my case, this is Cerebral Palsy. To start coming to terms with my disability, I began by having some emotionally charged conversations with my loved ones to find out how they believe my experience growing up with a disability has affected our relationships.
Episode three will focus on my thoughts on my identity as a disabled man.
