Every day we are witnessing & experiencing a level of collective trauma that the human nervous system & heart were never designed to be able to carry.

from a very young age I (like many of us) was led to believe that putting everyone else before myself was admirable. I was taught that selfishness was "bad" & shameful. this led to years of excessive people pleasing + neglecting my own needs resulting in me being sicker, more unhappier & farther away from myself than ever. & it wasn't until I learned how to be selfish that I was able to start picking up the pieces.
