Greetings from the beautiful Bali, where I'm currently enjoying a much-needed vacation. But what makes this vacation even more special?
It's knowing that back home, my law firm continues to engage and secure new clients, thanks to a well-structured, automated law firm marketing plan. Welcome to another episode of our law firm marketing podcast, designed especially for you - whether you're an owner of a small-to-medium law firm or a lawyer with the ambition to start your practice. This podcast is your companion on that journey.
In the last episode, "7 Things That Don't Work When It Comes to Your Law Firm's Digital Marketing", we explored strategies that have proven less than fruitful in today's digital marketing landscape.
Now, let's discuss the strategies that do work, that should be part of your marketing plan for a law firm: 1. Google Ads: Our journey begins with a powerhouse player – Google Ads. Here's a law firm marketing plan example from my own experience: we run a well-oiled law firm marketing funnel on Google Ads, which consistently brings in a stream of clients. Don't fret about getting into the nitty-gritty of it - outsourcing to a reliable agency can save you time and stress. But the golden rule? Strategy, mates! You gotta have the right one.
We'll begin by diving into Google Ads, a resource that can drive a consistent flow of clients to your firm when used correctly.
Moving on, we will discuss the power of content marketing and how it can be used to connect with your ideal clients.
SEO and Website Visibility: Next on our list of law firm marketing ideas is ensuring you're visible. That means the front page of Google, is not buried in the back. SEO's the name of the game here, but it's a tricky beast. You need the right experts on board to keep you sailing smoothly in these competitive waters. We'll stress the importance of website visibility and how essential SEO is to ensure your firm lands on the front page of Google search results.
Social Media: Social media can be a treasure trove of potential clients if you know how to navigate. Remember, not all platforms will yield gold for every practice area. Be smart, go where your clients are.
We'll navigate the various social media platforms and provide tips on how to target your marketing efforts effectively.
We'll look into the significance of online reviews, especially Google reviews, and how to manage them effectively.
Now, if you want to dive deeper into all these topics, head over to the Scalable Business Lounge, where we've got over 40 masterclasses stacked up and we break down the ins and outs of law firm marketing strategy template and other essential topics.

This week, we are talking about “Law Firm Owner Happiness”. It's not all about constant work and losing sight of why you started your law firm in the first place.
As law firm owners, you may have been driven by the desire to increase your income and attain more freedom and flexibility compared to being employed by someone else. However, it's easy to fall into the trap of working long hours, wearing multiple hats, and feeling overworked and underpaid.
In this episode, we want to discuss the components of law firm owner happiness and how you can achieve a happy and fulfilling journey as a law firm owner. The Scalable Business Lounge is here to support you in making the necessary changes and adjustments. We help you attract your ideal clients, focus on working on your business rather than in it, and streamline your processes for greater efficiency and satisfaction.
Now, let's break down the three essential elements of law firm owner happiness: time, impact, and wealth.
These elements form the foundation for creating a fulfilling and joyful experience as a law firm owner. 1. TIME Prioritise quality time for yourself, your family, and your friends. Establish boundaries and dedicate time to activities you genuinely love. Allow yourself space for renewal and creativity by disconnecting from work and finding inspiration. Make time for what truly matters.
IMPACT As a law firm owner, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact in various ways. Consider contributing to causes through charitable efforts, mentoring others, and changing people's lives through your legal services. Creating opportunities for your team members also contributes to the impact you can make.
WEALTH It's not just about accumulating money but also about contributing and planning for the future. By creating wealth, you become a valuable taxpayer and supporter of the community. Building a legacy for your family and future generations becomes an important goal. Envision your retirement and set yourself up financially for peace of mind and the ability to enjoy the lifestyle you desire.
To achieve law firm owner happiness, it's essential to balance these three elements. Focus on finding time for what you love, making a positive impact on others, and managing your wealth wisely. At the SCALABLE BUSINESS LOUNGE, we can guide you on this journey and assist you in implementing the necessary changes to achieve the happiness and success you deserve as a law firm owner.
Also, I have a FREE MASTERCLASS designed for lawyers and law firm owners where I share how to implement a 3-pronged marketing approach across three different marketing funnels. It's a game-changer, with the potential to jumpstart that law firm owner's happiness by creating more FREEDOM!
Remember to plan for your happiness alongside your financial goals for the upcoming year. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead!

Welcome to another episode of the Scalable Law Podcast and I’m thrilled to connect with you this June!
Here in Australia, we're at the crucial juncture of the financial year, a period where reflection and strategy come together --- EOFY! Regardless if you're a seasoned law firm owner or a beginner in your first year of business, it's key to assess the past year's performance. This retrospective view isn't just an EOFY task; it's an essential step to set realistic goals and map out your firm's future.
In today's episode, we'll explore vital areas you should review as this financial year concludes.
Our goal is to help you strategise effectively for the new financial year ahead, ensuring your law firm continues its trajectory of success. So, let's dive right in. 1. Robust Financial Planning As the financial year ends, it's crucial to reassess and refine your business strategies. This includes budgeting for the next year and strategising for potential financial downturns, ensuring your firm's growth is backed by a solid financial foundation.
Investment in Technology To be a competitive law firm in the digital age, investment in cutting-edge technology is essential. This includes legal software, cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital marketing tools, all of which can significantly improve your firm's productivity and client service.
Staff Development and Retention Your employees are your greatest assets. Prioritise their growth through continuous professional development opportunities. A happy, skilled workforce is critical in building a thriving law firm.
Marketing and Client Acquisition Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Utilise a mix of traditional and digital marketing tactics such as SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, and email campaigns.
Review Your Firm's KPIs Assessing your firm's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is essential to understand how well your strategies are performing. Analyse these metrics, draw actionable insights, and implement necessary changes to ensure continual improvement and growth.
Legal Compliance and Risk Management EOFY is a perfect time to review your firm's compliance with legal regulations and reassess your risk management strategies. Mitigating potential risks can protect your firm from unexpected losses and maintain a good reputation in the market.
The EOFY period provides a tremendous opportunity to reconsider all these aspects and position your law firm for continued success in the coming year. Remember, planning is the first step towards success, so take this time to strategically plan and prepare for the next financial year.
Embrace the start of a new financial year—it's a chance for a fresh beginning. While we cannot change the past year, we can certainly learn from it, using those experiences to make the upcoming year even more successful.
If you don’t want to do this alone, join me and other fellow law firm owners at the SCALABLE BUSINESS LOUNGE, we'd love to have you on board to achieve your ideal life as a law firm owner. Let’s create more profit and FREEDOM!
In the next episode of our podcast, we'll talk about 'law firm owner happiness' – intriguing right? So, stay tuned for that!
I hope Today's discussion has provided you with valuable insights and I eagerly await our next meeting on the Scalable Law Podcast.

I'm sure you've heard of Google My Business, or maybe you've seen it in action when you've searched for a business online. It's that box that pops up on the right-hand side of the search results page, providing a snapshot of a business’s information. But have you ever thought about how this tool can be applied to your law firm?
I bet many of you haven’t, and I get it. As a law firm, you might be more focused on the legal services you provide, thinking less about your online presence or digital marketing. But here's the thing: we're living in a digital era where most people rely on online searches to find services, including legal services.
Google My Business is a crucial tool in making your law firm visible and attractive to potential clients. It allows you to manage your online presence across Google, including Search and Maps.
Imagine this, a potential client is in need of legal services in your area. They're likely to type in "law firm near me" or something along those lines into Google. If your firm has an optimized GMB profile, it could be one of the first ones they see, complete with your business hours, services, location, and reviews. This can make a big difference in whether they choose your law firm or keep scrolling.
One of the key aspects of Google My Business is the ability to collect and showcase customer reviews. Let's be honest, reviews matter. According to a recent survey, 84% of people trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation. So, having a platform where your satisfied clients can easily leave positive feedback can greatly enhance your firm's reputation.
And it's not just about collecting positive reviews. Google My Business also gives you the opportunity to respond to reviews, demonstrating your commitment to client satisfaction and further building trust with potential clients.
But there's more! You can also use Google My Business to post updates, share photos, and even offer promotional deals. This keeps your profile fresh and encourages interaction from potential clients. For instance, sharing photos of your team can give your firm a human face, helping potential clients to feel more comfortable reaching out.
Setting up a Google My Business profile is pretty straightforward, but to fully utilise its potential, you need to ensure it's fully optimised. This means filling out all the necessary information, including your firm's name, address, phone number, website, and hours of operation. It's also important to select the correct category for your business and to regularly update your profile with fresh content.
Remember, the purpose of Google My Business is to make your law firm more visible and attractive to potential clients. To do this, you need to keep your profile up-to-date, respond to reviews, post regularly, and, most importantly, provide excellent legal services that will earn you those glowing reviews.
So, if you haven't yet explored Google My Business, I urge you to do so. It's a small step that could greatly impact your law firm's success.
Well, that's it for this episode. I hope you found it informative. Remember, the digital world is full of opportunities for your law firm – you just have to take advantage of them.
This has been Caralee Fontenele for "Scalable Law" Until next time, keep pushing those boundaries!

In this podcast, you are in for a treat as I’m doing this podcast with the gorgeous view of the pool from the gazebo and the sounds and tunes of Bali in my background, as we discuss your 2023 Marketing plan for your law firm.
If you haven’t started to create one yet or are unsure how to create one that will work for your law firm then listen on.
It is not an effective marketing plan for your law firm to rely on a handful of referrers. That might be enough if you are a solo law firm owner and you only need enough work for yourself, but not if you want the freedom that having a team can bring you.
Referrals usually only trickle in, and it is unpredictable. Getting the basics right for an unshakeable law firm marketing plan for 2023. Especially since experts predict a turbulent and fragile economy and rising interest rates. This means that law firms either struggle or thrive depending on the area of law you practice.
There is so much uncertainty right now, and the impacts are unknown. We will discuss what to do to protect your law firm and create stability for you and your team. Why it's crucial to get into it early...don't miss out on the incredible new year start.
At the SCALABLE BUSINESS LOUNGE, we will be doing our law firm marketing plans this December and each member/ law firm owner is coming out with a marketing plan tailored to their specific areas of practice. You must be ahead of the game and market your law firm with powerful new energy, creating the wave rather than riding it.
Relying on a handful of referrals just isn't enough for the freedom you really want.
I will be sharing how you create predictability with your clients and cash flow by identifying and implementing the 3 marketing strategies I have in place for my law firm. These 3 strategies will help you build a structured plan to be effective and free yourself from the stress of the uncertainties of 2023.
Listen to Caralee as she shares in detail How to Start your Law Firm's Marketing Strategy if you haven't got one yet, What not to do when you start creating your Law Firm Marketing Plan for 2023, and how to implement it with ease once you made your strategy.
Stay tuned for another episode next week!

The rest is history and now she fronts her marketing agency Third Eye Insights.

In this episode of Scalable Law, Caralee shares her experience of attending and exhibiting at the Clio in the Cloud Conference in Nashville. She discusses the conference, what happens there, what some of the topics are, who you can connect with and if it is worth attending even from afar.
Clio In The Cloud Conference Wrap Up The 2022 Clio Cloud Conference (ClioCon) was a huge event. There were approx 4000 lawyers at the event in person, with 1,000 attending virtually. The conference was held at Gaylord Grand Ol Operland in Nashville, which is a huge and spectacular hotel. The Clio Cloud Conference was held over several floors of the event centre in the hotel, and the attendees all stayed at the venue as there is not a lot around the hotel itself as it is away from the downtown area in Nashville.
To get the event started, the first keynote was from Clio's CEO and Founder, Jack Newton. Jack told the crowd only ten years ago, Clio was a 70-person team. In 2022 the team has grown to 900 employees.
There was the exhibit hall that was filled with different products that can support legal teams. Many innovative legal tech products can be used to streamline, systemise and automate law firms.
Two Days of Learning How To Grow Your Law Firm Across the two days, there were many masterclasses and workshops. The 2022 Clio in the Cloud agenda was jam-packed with information for law firm owners who want to grow their teams, create efficiencies, market their firms and streamline. Topics ranged from billing practices to social media to automating workflows to creating better client experiences and more.
Then, of course, there was the networking, mingling and having fun. Clio in the Cloud put on an unforgettable experience at the Grand Ole Opry for all the attendees. And then there was an after-dark party right in the middle of Broadway in Downtown Nashville. These experiences gave attendees time to mix and get to know each other to make valuable connections in the legal industry, making the event even more worthwhile.
If you would love to hear all about it, tune in to the podcast.

Have you set your firm up so that you can leverage your time and not sell your time for money? Scaling means that you can leverage your time as a law firm owner. If you can't leverage your time and you are selling your time for money, what you have is a job and frankly, that is not why you left your job to start a law firm.

Building a Solid Relationship With Legal Clients I recently reflected on my experience as a builder's client when I renovated my house. It was a 12-week project that turned into a 10-month project and had us out of the home and floating around from Airbnb to Airbnb. To say that it wasn’t stressful would be an outright lie. It was an incredibly hard process for me, the costs were stressful, and everything was out of my control.
There are aspects of the service that I received that were great and others that were not. As a client, the small things counted a lot towards my satisfaction with the service I received. Apart of course from having a well-renovated home.
We can forget what it is like to be on the other side of the fence as we get used to dealing with legal matters. Clients can feel stressed, out of control and that they are not receiving value if the small parts of the service are ignored.
I find as a leader of lawyers that, I get complaints from clients mostly for the small things. But for them, in turns into a major. It could be not returning a call, not updating or a lawyer saying they are really busy!
In this podcast, I share the tips that make you a great law firm to deal with. These are all simple to implement into your practice. If you have a team, ensure you speak to them about your expectations for service and brainstorm together how you would like to be treated as a client.
We are here to help our clients with their legal issues, however often, there is much more to the story for our clients. There are emotional aspects to why they need to engage a lawyer, and it is important that as lawyers to give the best possible service, you show an interest in other aspects of the client's life.
Ensuring that clients are not left wondering how their matter is going, but rather acknowledging client inquiries and returning calls even when there is nothing to update. Being proactive and calling clients to check in with them and to let them know the status of their matter.
Clients like to feel like they are a priority; I certainly did when I was a client of my builder and was getting my renovation done. Saying that you are too busy for their matter or that they are not a priority is not going to help you build a close relationship with your client. Clients don’t care about your other clients! I find one of the complaints that I receive from clients about my team is that they were made to feel that their matter wasn't important. It is difficult when you are running many matters, and some have higher priorities than others. The key here is to be careful in the language that you or your team use to ensure that your clients feel that they are getting the attention they deserve.
Following up with your clients and making sure that everything is going well for them is great client service. You will have your client coming back to your legal service when they require it, and they will also send you referrals. Going the extra mile always pays off.
No one likes surprises when it comes to their legal service. You must have really clear communication with your clients through the client journey to ensure that there is transparency every step of the way.
Not all, but most surprises are unavoidable if the lawyers in your firm are open and transparent with their communication.

In this episode, we have a special guest, Kelly Stanford from Stanford's Solicitors and Mediators.
Kelly is also a student in the Scalable Business Lounge, learning how to leverage her firm for more time and freedom.
Being in business for over twenty years, Kelly has many experiences that she generously shared with listeners.
Being a people person, Kelly has a passion for helping my clients find a solution to their legal problems. She stumbled into family law and has found her niche in helping clients through their separation and divorce, and estate planning.
One of the key takeaways from what Kelly shared is that as a lawyer, she started her firm because she was great at offering a legal service.
However, she realised that in her early days as a law firm owner, all she had done was created herself a full-time job rather than a business that afforded her more freedom and profit. It wasn’t until recent years that she started to scale her practice so that her business could serve her in far more beneficial ways.
Kelly has had a bigger focus on working on her business rather than in it. Since joining mentoring groups and connecting with other law firm owners, including the Scalable Business Lounge, Kelly has started implementing changes into her practice.
As a result, she has a much better work-life balance and is looking forward to the next phase of her business.
We also had a really interesting chat about what it was like starting a business in the late 90s versus now. There have been so many changes in the legal industry which makes it much easy to start a law firm these days.
Tune in to hear us talk about how to get from running a firm that provides only a job to scaling a law firm that can provide a lifestyle and freedom.

In this episode, Caralee talks about Google ads and if you should be running them in your law practice. Many law firm owners rely on referrals and are worried about throwing money away on Google Ads.
Google has recently changed the layout of the front page of Google, and it is becoming more difficult to appear above the fold on the front page unless you pay for Ads.
Well-run ads can help draw in interested leads in your service industry business. Pay per click (PPC) is a great method to attract leads and get eyeballs on your website. By investing in PPC, you will obtain leads that are more likely to use legal services.
So if you are not sure where to start with Google Ads in your law firm and are worried about throwing away good money, then this is a great episode for you.

Today on the podcast, we are talking about law firm burnout and how to recognise if you are doing too much! It can be stressful running your law firm.
Not only are you a lawyer, helping clients and meeting the demands that lawyers face, but you are also running a business. There are only so many hours in a day, and at times law firm owners are stretched way too thin and doing way too much.
Being responsible for all aspects of running files as well as marketing, accounts, finance and HR. This is a recipe for burnout!
So what are the signs of law firm owner burnout? If you are working crazy hours, not switching off on the weekends and trying to hold everything together, it is essential that you listen to your body and how you feel, as you could have signs of burnout and not even know it. Are you tired constantly? Do you feel stressed? Are you having trouble sleeping? These are signs you should not ignore as it could mean you have burnout.
In the past, I have experienced burnout without realising what it was. If you are unsure, here are some signs that you may be heading towards burnout and need to change how you run your law firm.
1. You dread going into your law firm and have deep Mondayitis!
If you are not excited about a new week and instead get that dreaded feeling on Sunday about the week ahead, this is a sign of potential burnout. This is more than being sad that the weekend is over. Getting that feeling in your gut about the week ahead, facing clients, staff members, or opening emails can be signs that something needs to change.
2. Feeling exhausted all the time.
Feeling either emotionally or physically exhausted all the time are signs of burnout. This can cause a lack of motivation, concentration and strain as you do your usual tasks. You find that you make silly mistakes and are at risk in your law firm of creating issues on client files or making costly business mistakes.
3. You are not excited about your law firm.
When you first started your firm, you were excited, full of hope and had the enthusiasm to get your law firm working for you. A sign that you are heading towards law firm burnout is that you are feeling disinterested in your business. Maybe hopeless, the satisfaction isn’t there, and you are wondering why you started your firm or thinking maybe being an employee may be better. Everything feels like hard work.
4. Your performance is suffering, and you are making avoidable mistakes.
Your performance isn’t what it used to be, and you have noticed that you are dropping the ball. You don’t feel like calling people back and dread opening your email. This may result in more incoming complaints from clients or clients going elsewhere. On the other hand, this could be because you are burnt out and need to implement other strategies into your law practice to return to being the peak performer you once were.
5. Your sleep is suffering!
If you are lying awake at night with work issues running around in your head, this is a sure sign that something needs to change in your law firm. If you have niggling thoughts keeping you up at night, burnout is either already there or just around the corner. Physical ailments are appearing.
Your body is telling you that you are doing too much, over-stressed and need to look at how you are running your law firm.
6. You may even have physical symptoms before recognising what is happening.
If you are burnt out you may experience the following:
It can be stressful running a law firm, however, it doesn’t have to be this way. It can be the opposite! It can fun, and bring you joy and freedom. It is just a matter of knowing what you need to implement to create a law firm that can provide you with the lifestyle you have dreamed of.

In this podcast, we discuss using scheduling apps in your law firm as a marketing tool to bring more enquiry into your law firm.
If your prospects are at home after hours, it is the perfect solution to have an automated system where clients can book an initial appointment with your law firm. Law firms face serious challenges when it comes to appointment scheduling, and it can be clunky and time-consuming.
The good news is that scheduling software can help you to automate your appointments, freeing you and your team up to focus on other tasks. There are loads of scheduling platforms on the market. Some have free offers, some are paid, and some have other cool features.
I will share with you what scheduling app we use in my law firm. How we use it and how it has helped my law firm to automate and grow. I also share with you two other scheduling apps that are being used by some of the students in the Scalable Business Lounge. While there are some differences between the platforms, all of the scheduling tools that I speak about today on the podcast offer integration into your firm's calendar, such as Office 365, iCal, or Google Calendar.

This week on the podcast, Caralee talks about the importance of knowing and living by your core values as a law firm owner. Last week she was invited to revisit her core values again, and it was an interesting exercise to see if her core values had shifted or not.
Running a law firm and being faced with the hundreds of decisions a day that you have to make can be difficult, but as Caralee explains, when you are aligned to your core values, it becomes easier to make tough decisions.
Core values are deeply held beliefs that help guide you in life and in business. They are often one-word qualities that you want to run your life by which includes your law practice as a firm owner.
There are many benefits of knowing your core values, including:
You will experience easier decision making, just as stated by Roy Disney;
You will identify if you or your business isn’t aligned; Your law firm goals will be easier to determine if you know your foundational core values;
You will establish law firm individuality, which is required in our competitive market; and
Your law firm will be both anchored and have a robust engine for success.

It is only six weeks until the end of the financial year, so today on the podcast Caralee discusses the four things that you should be doing in your law firm between now and then to get your firm in the best position for the new financial year.
You will learn what you need to do in your firm to make this EOFY happen and how you prepare to make 2022-2023 your best financial year yet!
Depending on where you are located in the world may affect how much of a priority EOFY is for you. Here in Australia, June 30th is the last day of our financial year. Don’t wait for the two weeks before EOFY - get started now, no matter where you are!
Remember, in business you want you to be proactive rather than reactive!
So, what do you need to get ready for EOFY? Caralee dives into the importance of the below:
1. Contact your Accountant & look at your figures!
You need to plan; we have six weeks until EOFY - Think, what invoices do you have coming in? What will you be billing? Is everything up to date and reconciled? Have you contributed to Super this year, and if not, can you contribute to your super fund? If you haven’t had this conversation with your accountant - go now!
2. Plan your goals for the next financial year!
If you haven’t had time to do your planning or filter your goals for the new financial year, now is your time. Not in July, this needs to be done this side of the year. Stay proactive rather than reactive.
3. Create a marketing plan that will support your law firm's goals
In order to grow and reach your goals, you must have the proper marketing to support them! Your marketing plan may start small and grow more extensive throughout the year - depending on your goals.
4. Create a content plan to support organic growth
What will you break down to promote your law firm on social media in the new financial year? You can watch Caralee’s FREE Social Media Workshop to digest precisely how you can plan your social media content. Social media is the best form of organic marketing, so set aside some time to do this workshop.
If you would love to do an entire planning session with me, now is the time! In the Scalable Business Lounge, we will have a Masterclass in June on exactly how you can get organising and prepare for your 2022-2023 financial year!

As law firm owners, we often know how to give excellent service to the clients ourselves, however, we can forget to train our team on how to do the same! This week on the podcast, Caralee dives into how to avoid making the same mistakes she did in her law firm, which was a $250,000.00 mistake.
Running Collective Family Law for ten years and being a part of the business for fourteen years, Caralee has made plenty of mistakes, but this one is an expensive learning curve that other business owners can avoid if they have their whits about them.
When Caralee took over the firm, it was a shambles, dabbling in many fields of law in the hope of reliable cash flow, taking on any client or matter that came through the door and there were no systems or billing practices. When Caralee became the Principal of Collective Family Law, she cleaned it all up and specialised the firm to be only Family Law, leading to a niche market and more cash flow. It is a common misconception that people think the more you offer, the more money you make, which is not always true.
Caralee shares her mistakes openly on this podcast so that you don’t have to make them! To find out the mistakes Caralee made, which eventually cost her $250,000.00 - listen to the podcast!

This week on the podcast, Caralee chats about recent updates in her firm, one, in particular, being a team retreat she took her team on to Couran Cove on the Gold Coast, Australia.
During the retreat, Midja Fisher joined to lead the team in a no-bullshit leadership session where she broke down exactly what a great & effective leader ought to be. This session was unreal and made some people uncomfortable due to the cut to the chase approach, that is, ‘you either got it, or you don’t.’
Midja preached to the team that in no way do you need a title of leadership in order to be a leader. Whether you are a law firm owner, lawyer, junior lawyer, receptionist - anything, you always have the potential to lead. Below are the three main pillars Midja broke down into practical steps to lead. Self-awareness Self-belief Self-regulation. These three pillars of leadership changed the game for Caralee’s team and Caralee herself. The way Midja broke down these three movements was enough to awaken the inner leader in everyone - no matter who you are!

This week on the Being Unstoppable Podcast, we have the inspiring Karen Finch from Legally Yours joining us for an unstoppable chat about law, business and breaking barriers in the legal world!
Karen Finch is a non-practising lawyer, CEO of Legally Yours, Co-Director of Pro Help Legal Australia, Board Member of the Australian Legal Tech Association (ALTA), and more! Karen is incredibly passionate about her career, and knowing how much of a difference she is making in the world is her main drive to be unstoppable.
Karen’s passion for law began through her family, where she saw her family lose a complex litigation matter involving her father's company. This saw her family losing everything, not necessarily due to the litigation matter itself but due to their legal representation. This then sparked Karen to become a lawyer and make a change. It took her a while to find her space in the law where she was felt truly aligned. But once she did, she became unstoppable and created Legally Yours!
Legally Yours is a dual-sided online legal marketplace that was created to help the 70-80% of Australians who have legal needs and currently don’t have access to lawyers. This is often because they fear costs, don’t know how to find a ’trusted’ lawyer and don’t understand the legal process. Legally Yours helps potential clients overcome the traditional barriers to accessing legal services by matching them to fixed-fee or value-based pricing lawyers across Australia.
The other side of the business focuses on disrupting how traditional lawyers deliver legal services. Legally Yours does this by educating and supporting Australian lawyers and legal professionals to change their business model away from billable hours to a transparent pricing model that lets their clients know how much they will charge and what they will deliver. They do this through our online member community portal - the LY Hub.
Karen’s passion for change is contagious, and this podcast episode is a genuinely fabulous listen! Listen to the full podcast by clicking here.

In this episode, Caralee dives into growing pains, how to navigate them, and why it is a sign of scaling when your business has them. Caralee walks you through the below strategies to ensure that growing pains and challenges that you experience don’t become recurring objections in your scaling journey;
Hiring the right people to help you is one of the keys to success. This could be hiring the right people on your team or hiring external consultants to help you. I.e., Business Coach, Accountant, etc.

In this week's podcast, Caralee explains what strategy she implemented into her law firm, which increased the turnover by an extra $400,000.00 in revenue in one year! There was no extra marketing implemented, no more work, just one new system implemented into her legal practice.
So, what was this system? Accountability tracking!
If implemented correctly, accountability in your law firm can help you increase growth in revenue, client intake, and your team. As a leader holding yourself and your team to a level of accountability is crucial when scaling and ensuring you can work less!
In Caralee’s law firm, Collective Family Law, she took it over when it was struggling and in a state of serious debt. She turned the firm around to what it is today, a thriving law practice with a team of 14.
The accountability piece was created on a simple spreadsheet and is used to start a conversation each week with each of the team members.
Caralee shares the full strategy on the podcast. However, if you are a member of the Scalable Business Lounge, you receive full training and have access to Caralee’s spreadsheet to use in your firm.

Automation ensures that as a law firm owner, you spend less time on low-end tasks and more time on the tasks that will help you to scale your law firm.
Caralee’s law firm spends 20-minutes a month on social media, all because of how automated we have made the process from content creation to posting.
Caralee breaks down the three elements used in posting our socials, and the top tech recommended ensuring everything is seamless in the podcast.

Welcome to another episode of the Being Unstoppable For Law Firm Owners Podcast!
Streamlining the social media for your law firm is one of the best time investments you will make to ensure that things are ticking away behind the scenes and attracting clients without your input as the law firm owner.
It can be challenging to leave your social media posts in the hands of an agency when you are running a law firm because you need to ensure your brand is being represented in the best possible way. And of course that you are sharing factual information about the law.
As lawyers, we are often perfectionists and this can lead to overwhelm, which leads to not posting anything on social media at all. In turn, this means that your law firm is missing out on a huge, FREE advantage of getting clients through the door via social media.
There is a misconception around social media for law firms: it is dull, black & white & boring - FALSE! I am going to show you what to post and how to make it more inspirational.
Caralee runs through the nine squares formula in the podcast, which will take the guesswork out of what & how to post for your law firm to make it exciting. This is a formula used by the Scalable Business Lounge that has shown incredible results for students.
With this nine squares formula, you will be able to make your social media posting engaging, attractive, simple, and streamlined!
In the podcast, a social media calendar is mentioned; you can find this here.

Today in the podcast, I share with you how to post on social media for your law firm but how to actually make it work for you by attracting the right clients through social media.
If you have been wondering why your social media efforts don't seem to bring new clients into your law firm, It will be either one or both of these reasons.
My journey to creating a scalable law firm that doesn't rely on me daily as the law firm owner was not linear. Far from it! There is so much to learn along the way. One of the things that I wish that I had worked out sooner is how to leverage social media to attract our ideal clients. I have wasted many hours and opportunities doing social media for my law firm the wrong way.
It can be expensive to acquire clients, but we have the most incredible tool to get in front of the right clients at our fingertips. It is just knowing how!

Today on the podcast, we discuss how and why you should be repurposing your law firm content! There is often a misconception around content creation that you need to be using fresh new ideas for each post - not the case! Listen to today’s podcast to find out what you can and can’t do to repurpose your content to ensure your publishing is streamlined and simplified.
Creating content can seem overwhelming, when you are so many other things to do to run your law firm. So much so that, content creation for your law firm gets put on the back burner. But if you are not creating content for your firm, it is harder for potential clients and team members to find you. Your firm will become invisible while your competitors are elevating through posting valuable content.
Content creation can be exhausting but not if you use the repurposing strategy. Recycling content is an excellent opportunity to reach different audiences to develop momentum in your business. Reusing your content isn’t any less important than producing new content; it is just as effective with far less stress!
For example, if you have a blog post to boost your website traction, separate that blog post into sections for different social media captions or produce a podcast episode!
To find other methods to saturate your content across different platforms, listen to the podcast!

Hiring a team can be one of the most stressful tasks you can face as a business owner, so what are some key elements to keep in mind when onboarding team members?
1. Have an avatar of your ideal team member! Exactly what are the foundations of your perfect staff member?
2. Think about your business culture - what is it about your firm that is different from others?
3. Exemplary leadership in place to drive loyalty in your business.
4. Foster relationships with potential team members - you will hire more than once!
5. Have a hiring and onboarding system in place.
6. Hire ahead of when you need people - don’t be a reactive hirer!
7. Have the courage to let people go if they are not the right fit - you aren’t in business to make friends.

This week on the podcast, we are diving into the importance of having core values and why your core values should be front and centre of your business.
As a business owner with a team, life becomes much easier when you attract staff who share similar core values to the company they are part of. Having alignment in your business allows everything to flow freely.
Core values in my law firm were something that I didn’t have in place in the early days of my business. If you have a small team, you may not see the value of identifying your core values. However, from my experience, I wish I had identified the business core values earlier. I would have saved myself from making many mistakes, particularly around hiring!
In my firm, we have engaged an external HR company to come in and consult with us from time to time, which has helped us to build upon our values and other aspects of our team structure. In my law firm, as a team, we created core, firstly with the leadership team, then with the team as a whole. Each team member stands by our core values and understands the importance of streamlining our mission.
As a team of one, or as a team of many, implement your core values sooner rather than later. Create a day where you are offsite and use it as a team-building exercise. Each year, in my team, we go on a team retreat to debrief, relax, and reevaluate our core beliefs!
Your core values are what helps to shape the vision and culture of your company. They are the essence of the companies identity and have many advantages, externally and internally.
In the podcast, I discuss my business values and how they are applied to our work environment.
If you want to uncover the secret sauce of how I have built my law firm to 7 figures, the Scalable Business Lounge is the place for you! With over 12 months worth of Masterclasses, Hot Seats, formulas, workbooks, and much more! Intake is limited, so get in quick to make 2022 the best year yet for your law firm!

Today on the podcast, we dive into how your personal brand can help your business to flourish. People don’t buy from companies; people buy from people - so hiding behind your business brand won’t help you attract clients and scale.
Putting yourself out there and creating a personal brand can be challenging - particularly for lawyers! There are so many doubts that run through your mind & often, perfectionism can hold you back.
When marketing your law firm or business, you should be marketing in multiple ways. My recommendation is that you don’t put all of your eggs in one basket when it comes to marketing; you need to spread your marketing between paid traffic, referral traffic, and organic traffic. When you tap into your personal brand, your referral and organic traffic become much more powerful.
Investing time into your personal brand is well worth the effort because it doesn’t matter where life or business takes you. You can take your personal brand with you.
So, where do you start this personal brand journey? Listen to the podcast to dive into the below formula!
1. Unpack your brand story!
2. Get clear on who your community Is;
3. Create your messaging;
4. Capitalise on content; and
5. Get over the fear factor of putting yourself out there!
In the Scalable Business Lounge, we research creating your brand and ensuring you are tapping into your niche. Diving into the depths of your unique personal brand is vital, and you need to ensure you are doing it correctly.
The Scalable Business Lounge will allow you to master your personal brand, show you how to gain more freedom, and implement the most suitable tools for your business to scale.

Are you nervous about niching your service? Perhaps you are too afraid that you could lose clients & opportunities?
This podcast is for you!
This week on the podcast, we have special guest Megan Adams, an International Tax Law Firm owner that assists American ex-pats with their tax obligations.
Megan started her firm in Port Macquarie, Australia. The inspiration to open her law firm came in the early months of 2020 - just before COVID hit. Megan had finalised two years of the supervision period after becoming a lawyer in Australia, and the beginning of Covid triggered a new start. She went ahead to open her law firm.
Initially, Megan offered lots of services because she wanted to help everyone and didn’t want to miss any opportunities, but work wasn’t flowing in the door as she had hoped. So after joining the Scalable Business Lounge, Megan started to niche down with a primary offering. Megan has now niched her business right down to American Tax Law, and her business is thriving with new clients coming in the door every week. And not only that, but now Megan is doing work that she loves rather than stretching herself to every corner.
Megan has the perfect ‘Nervous to Niche’ story because as soon as she did - her life became easier & her business started to flow! Listen to the podcast to catch the full story!

This week on the podcast, we have a special guest go-getter, Jacqui Brauman! Jacqui is an incredible business owner, lawyer and has an online product for women who need legal help called 'Legally Wise Women.’ In the podcast, we discuss how she built her program Legally Wise, which is created for women who aren't sure how to retain a lawyer or just need some guidance on what is best for them.
Jacqui's Law firm is based in central Victoria, which she took over 9- years ago from a sole practitioner. Jacqui is now scaling her law firm and currently has 10 staff on her team. Having added the second brand, Legally Wise Women, Jacqui has navigated her way into re-branding and finding her passion.
In the podcast, we have a great conversation around business, the new program, and how she overcame the fear of building her brand as a lawyer. There is so much that makes Jacqui Unstoppable. However, her drive to succeed and positively impact people is a significant driving factor. Jacqui has a persistent focus to get to where she wants to be, and although the end goal has pivoted, her drive remains the same.
The podcast is excellent for those who feel they cannot pivot in their law firm or love what they do, but they just have that bit more to give.
Jacqui is also a student in the Scalable Business Lounge as even though she already has a successful law firm, she wants to further scale and create more freedom to do what she loves, such as creating Legally Wise Women.
If you would love to work alongside Jacqui and other like-minded firm owners to uplevel your full potential. In that case, The Scalable Business Lounge is the place for you. Hi there, welcome to another episode of the Being Unstoppable Podcast!
This week Caralee is joined by Angelique Sheedy, the Founder and Managing Director of Flexible Bookkeeping Solutions. Angelique is an incredible businesswoman who is also a student in the Scalable Business Lounge - however, she isn’t a lawyer! Instead, she is a bookkeeper and has been the bookkeeper of Caralee’s law firm for years.
Bookkeeping was one of the first functions of the business Caralee outsourced in her law firm, and she is a believer that unless you are a bookkeeper, you should outsource this task.
In this podcast episode, Angelique speaks about the importance of outsourcing your bookkeeping and getting this task off your plate as a business owner. She also shares the value that she has received out of the Scalable Business Lounge! Angelique has a willingness to work hard and grow. Having been in business for 30-years, starting at 24, Angelique’s shares her journey on the podcast. She started her business because she wanted to do something that allowed her the freedom to look after her child as she didn’t have any family around her, having lived in a different city. Flexibility was a significant driving factor for Angelique to be successful in her organically grown business. Interestingly her company is called Flexible Bookkeeping Solutions; flexibility is a significant core value of hers.
Fast-forward to 2021; Angelique runs an incredible bookkeeping firm with many prominent clients. Investing in an expert bookkeeper will save you a lot of money as it avoids situations where you aren’t following the rules and regulations in the finance department!
With help from the Scalable Business Lounge, Angelique has scaled to great lengths and at an incredible pace! To listen to the podcast or work with Angelique - all the links are below!

In a legal business, charging for your service can be challenging. Whether you like it or not, we can get emotionally tied to our clients and feel empathetic or stressed about charging for our service.
As a Lawyer, there have been many times where I haven’t charged my clients properly as I have thought, ‘Oh, I feel guilty because of their circumstance, or I will just quickly do that little thing, and it won’t be a big deal.’ However, all of those tiny issues add up over time and also cause other issues with your client as your progress their matter or service.
As business owners, we are often more lenient, and we don’t follow our procedures, making it easier for us to undercharge. However, how would you feel if one of your legal team members decided not to charge for a service they had provided on your time?
So, how do we charge a client confidently?
1.Implement an effective price strategy; This is built on the knowledge, confidence, and practice of understanding your client’s needs - Know your client, inside out!
2.Offering a lower price won’t attract more clients; If anything, it will attract bargain-hunting clients who don’t appreciate the training and experience you have had. Also, you are undercutting your value, suggesting that your service isn’t worth a higher fee.
3.Your client’s money is none of your business! It isn’t up to you to decide whether or not your client can afford it; it is up to your client to determine whether they want their issue solved by your business. If they don’t want the service you provide, they won’t come to you.
4.Set clear boundaries! Before the legal matter commences set clear boundaries. Ensure you have your costs agreement signed and that you have clearly explained the expectations. Charge for what is set out in your costs agreement and stick to your processes. For example, you wouldn’t pay for economy seating and then sit in business class, so why are you prepared to do the same for your service? Attract the right clients and be clear about what value you are charging for and how that value will solve their legal problem.
So let me leave you with this. You pride yourself in your legal service, and you have worked hard to get where you are now. Charging a fair price allows you to do your best work, and your client deserves the best service you can provide! On the other hand, Undercharging builds resentment, which is not in your clients best interest.
Bye for now!

This week I share with you how to create content consistently without stress and difficulty!
Creating content for our business is essential in the competitive market because the more we can be seen and heard, the more people will likely connect with you. Then when your ideal client has a problem, you are at the top of their mind as the solution. If you hide in the back of your business and don't show your face or share your voice, it will be more difficult for you to create a connection.
You can't sell a secret - your message needs to be loud and clear!
So, how do you create consistent content without hard work and stress?
1. Schedule in your non-negotiable content
Schedule in your non-negotiable topics for the weeks ahead and set aside time in your diary every week to create your content. For example, my non-negotiable is our Tuesday Podcast. Yours may be a blog, video, Q&A or Facebook Live to name a few.
Hot Tip! The most challenging part about non-negotiable content is deciding the topics. My students in the Scalable Business Lounge have a session where they have to write out 26 topic ideas which will keep them creating for six months; therefore. The thinking has been done in one hit. I recommend this strategy!
2. Strategy is key! Ensure you have a clear strategy that speaks to your ideal client. When you are creating your content, have your target audience in mind. Ask yourself, is this what my ideal client needs to hear? Messaging is critical. Speak to your client’s pain points. Also, ensure you add a call to action, i.e., Free Downloadable, free initial consultation, etc.
3. Bulk, bulk, bulk! If your schedule doesn’t allow for the non-negotiable content every week, ensure you are banking aside a time every six weeks or so to pump out that content in one session. This way, you can create a great flow and consistency! Your future self will thank you.
4. Systemise: Have a system that you repeat each week or month to ensure what you are doing is away from you and simplified for someone else to take care of for you. This week on the Being Unstoppable Podcast, we are tapping into making your business run like a well-oiled machine when you aren't there. You cannot scale your business beyond you unless you have systems and automation in place.
Ask yourself, if you were to step out of your business tomorrow for six weeks, would everything run perfectly without you?
If not, the Scalable Business Lounge is for you! I guide you through exactly what you need to systemise your law firm and give you more freedom. In SBL we implement strategies that will help you to scale.
So how do you create less work and more profit through systems and automation? Let's get into how you can begin to implement them into your business!
Reminder Systemising is not a one-off job! Creating systems in your business is ongoing, with constant updates and new systems. - Patience required!
1. Make a list of your most recurring tasks.
What are your daily, weekly, monthly, yearly tasks and obligations? Write them down and identify what it is you need to systemise. I have a basic rule that I go by. If I need to do something more than once or get asked a question more than once, systemise it!
2. Decide on a directory or structure. Having these systems in a place that is easy to access for your team is essential. You could do this in many different ways; however, a few tremendous document-sharing platforms are Dropbox, Google Documents, Loom, or creating a free Google site. The process needs to be streamlined with all documents in the same place, making it easy for your team to access.
What is necessary for each pillar?
4. Identify ways to improve the system. Just because you have established a system doesn't mean it is the best way or that it will work right away. The system doesn't always work when you first create it - trial and error is how you will unravel your most sustainable/effective strategies. Eliminating bottlenecks and streamlining is your systematic goal. Ask questions, critique, and make changes to your new system as you go.
Systems take a while to perfect, but you will thank yourself when you have more freedom because your business runs perfectly without you. So start Start slowly, don't rush these automations. Know that it will take time. Yes, creating systems may be time-consuming, but this is the primary way that you will scale your law firm and have more freedom! If you want to free up more time, I guarantee this strategy will set you up for just that!
If you would love to dive deeper into exactly how to create these systems, I have just the place for you! The Scalable Business Lounge will not only allow you to gain more freedom, but it will also implement the most suitable tools for your business to scale… Fast!

Don’t underestimate the power of LinkedIn! If people who can refer you for work or your clientele are on LinkedIn, it is a powerful social media platform that can help you scale your business. Not only that, but LinkedIn also plays a significant role when trying to build your brand or business profile.
If you are active on LinkedIn, you will notice your brand will grow, as will your opportunities.
When using LinkedIn to grow your business, it is not only about posting content. Having your profile are set up correctly is also really important. Your LinkedIn profile should reflect three things; 1. Who you are;
2. Who you help; &
3. What you offer.
So, how do you uplevel your profile on LinkedIn?
1.You need to choose the right profile picture for LinkedIn:
Your profile picture will not be the same picture that you would use on your Facebook or Instagram - it should be a professional image of yourself. You can still show personality, but maybe not one of you is out drinking or in your wedding dress! I recommend using the same photo that you would use on your website, preferably a headshot.
2.You should use the LinkedIn banner to your advantage:
The landscape image above your profile picture on LinkedIn is an excellent opportunity to post an image of your business or offering. Rather than keeping it plain or using a “weekend” image. Allow this section to explain what you do.
3.Turn heads with your headline:
Instead of just using your mainstream headline, i.e., Family Lawyer, Criminal Lawyer, Tax Lawyer - switch it up! Tell your audience who you help and what problems you solve. ‘Leading an incredible team of legal professionals at Collective Family Law. Helping other law firm owners scale their business without burnout.”
Stand out by speaking directly to the person you want to attract.
4.Perfect your summary section:
Turn your summary into a story about how you impact and help people - what problems do you solve for them? Many people leave this section blank, but it is a perfect opportunity to show off just how fabulous you are and share your skillset. But remember to talk about your reader and not just yourself.
5.List your relevant skills:
This is a speedy way to identify your skills and exactly what it is that they do—ensuring that your profile is clear on how you help people. You can just go through the list and select your primary skills so that your audience is clear on who you are.
6.Update your experience, links, and contact details:
Go in and update all of your experience and contact details. Ensure that this all is professional, in-date, and clear to read. People don’t have time to connect the dots, so ensure they don’t have to! The same goes with your links; always ensure your website link is clear and works!
It is a great idea is to pop in your calendar every 6-months, do a LinkedIn audit, and just go over to re-jig everything.
7.Featured information and images:
This is a great area to showcase what you have recently been up to. It is a great way to show people what your involvement is in your industry visually. For example, you could showcase your business, podcast, team, or event.
So now that you have a shiny, transparent, and neat LinkedIn profile - It is time to expand your network! How can we do this? See below!
It is easy to find contacts/businesses that are suitable for you. For example, If you are in financial planning - you can reach out to all of the financial planners in your area and connect with them. All you need to do is pop into the search bar ‘Financial Planners’ and your local area, and you can connect that way.
Another way to connect is by going to like-minded people’s profiles and connecting with people from their accounts.
LinkedIn is also a great on-the-go business card! One of the things that LinkedIn provides is a QR code to make it ultra-easy when exchanging details.
Engaging in conversations and posts will also do wonders when creating referrer/business relationships and is super easy to do! Like, comment and message!

Today on the podcast, we are following on from last week’s podcast, where I talked about the benefits of hiring a Virtual Assistant.
Today on the podcast Brie my assistant and I talk about how we have dealt with hiring our VA’s and the different challenges that arise. Brie does all of the recruiting, hiring, and training of our VA’s, which has helped us scale and given Brie the freedom to engage in higher-end tasks.
Top Tips To Ensure You Have A Successful Hiring Process:
1.Communicate: The hiring process is super important when hiring a Virtual Assistant as it is vital to communicate the main tasks to your VA so there is no confusion later down the track. We have found that if the main tasks aren’t explained thoroughly, it can result in the VA negotiating their rate if they view it as more specialised or leaving the job.
2.Your VA will have networks: Once you have an interview with your VA, you may have found that some of the jobs don’t align with their skills. However, we have other VA’s through people that are in their network.
3.Create a Job Description: Any task you can think of from A-Z, include it in your job description! You can never be too thorough in your hiring process. Create a document including everything that you need them to do, run through it within the interview as well as send them the document. This way, you allow your VA to process the job, think about it and then get back to you.
How Do You Best Choose Your VA?
1.Zoom! The best way to interview your VA is face to face on Zoom. A big issue you may run into if you are hiring from the Philippines or other countries is the language barrier. This can easily be assessed by asking questions and listening to responses. Within the first few minutes, you will determine if they can communicate well.
2.Salary: Salary is often where a cultural issue can occur. We have found that negotiations can begin if outside jobs aren’t included in the job description from the interview stage onwards. Once you have agreed on a salary, ensure all of your jobs are included so that there are no misunderstandings.
3.Get examples of work: If you have a few VA’s that you think would be a good fit for your business and are struggling to choose, it is vital to assess them based on their work. Give them a task or two to complete to see if they are up to standard.
What Is The Best Tech/Strategy To Use To Onboard A VA?
1.Routine! Get straight into a routine when you hire your VA, it is never too early, and this is where the employer and the VA do the best learning. Brie sends out a Monday morning email to her VA’s, stating what the weekly tasks are, and each day she sends out a list of what needs to be done within the 8 hour day.
Daily, weekly and monthly tasks are best managed using an app called Trello. Trello allows you to organise tasks in priorities, due dates, and columns to ensure you can see precisely where your VA’s are throughout the day.
Whenever you have repetitive tasks, we use an app called Loom. Loom allows you to film what you are doing on your computer and record your voice to ensure your VA has a video they can watch over and over to save you time and questions.
2.Establish your main point of communication: All VA’s like to be contacted via different platforms. Whether through emails, Zoom, or Whatsapp, it is vital to ensure you have the central platform you come back to. Brie uses an app called Lark, a free app that allows you to voice call, video call, or messages.
To hear more about exactly how to pick your perfect Virtual Assistant, listen to the podcast!
Having a VA allows you to focus on high-end and non-repetitive tasks, which will enable you to focus on scaling your business. Yes, it might take effort and patience to set your new VA up and get them working to your standard, but once they get into a routine, you will be thanking yourself for all of this free time you now have!

Now, onto this week's poddy! If you have too much on your plate, it could be a great idea to hire a virtual assistant. But where do you start? I have scaled my family law firm from 1 employee to 15, including 2 Virtual Assistants. A VA is a virtual assistant, where they work from their own space and not in your office. This means you can hire a VA from anywhere in the world, the advantage of this is that the cost can be considerably less depending on which country they are located in.
To start working on your business and not only in it, but you also have to leverage your time. This is where hiring a VA can be a huge benefit. Getting the low-end tasks off your plate, such as raising invoices, chasing debt, or running your social media accounts, can free you up to do high-end tasks that move the needle in your business.
1.Where do you get your VA from?
* VA Agencies: There are agencies for VA’s in Australia and New Zealand, which will do all of the hard yards for you including interviews, shortlisting, and communicating the overall job description. This will cost you more than if you get a VA directly, as an agency VA will be averaging around $11.00 - $12.00 per hour. When going through a VA agency, the accounting process is also systemised to be in a monthly tax invoice, in your currency, and including tax which makes the system a lot clearer when it comes to paying your VA than it would if you employ directly.
PSA: Don’t forget, you don’t need to hire a VA full time! You can hire part-time or even casually. You can also hire VA’s for particular areas in your business, for example, bookkeeping, social media, graphics, or as your personal assistant.
2.What are the benefits of hiring a VA?
* You don’t need a physical office. Your VA may be based working from home, or sometimes they can work from an office, you don’t need to create an office space for them, either way.
Side note: Another fab thing about hiring from the Philippines, is that they are only 2 hours behind Australian time, so they typically have very similar work hours to you.
* Delegation. Sometimes you can be the biggest bottleneck in your business. If you have someone to flick work off to, this prevents low-end jobs from being backed up in your possession.
You have more time to give to high-end tasks, where your strengths lie. If you listened to a podcast a few episodes back, I discussed the importance of taking a personality test. I discussed why working in your zone of genius, and why putting your time into tasks that play to your strengths lie is vital in helping you scale your business.
So, I am giving you the challenge now to write down what are the tasks that you could delegate right now to a VA or several VA’s? Are there more than 5 repetitive tasks you complete each week that are preventing you from working on high-end tasks?
Next week, we have my Personal Assistant, Brie coming on the podcast to give you the exact methods and tech she uses to successfully onboard, train, and effectively use Virtual Assistants, so keep an eye out for that next Tuesday!

Hello and welcome back to another week of the Being Unstoppable Podcast!
This week, we are following on from the client onboarding process episode last week by breaking down the tech you need to make your client onboarding system seamless & satisfying.
When scaling your business, the most important thing is to ensure that the foundation of the business is indeed built into a scalable model. There is nothing worse than building a business that needs you there 100% of the time. It is like having a newborn baby in your care forever! We are so lucky because, in this day and age, we don't only have team members, we have an entire collection of simple tech to help us to scale and grow our business’ beyond ourselves.
There are so many incredible platforms out there that can help you in your business, in this podcast, I talk to you about the tech that I use to help us with onboarding clients in my law practice. These items are relatively inexpensive, and once you get them up and running, they can be incredible in the way that helps you leverage your time.
The main objective when onboarding clients is touchpoints! Before they engage you they need frequent touchpoints, and once they are onboarded in your business they need to feel nurtured, which requires, you guessed it… TOUCHPOINTS!
1. CRM System
A CRM system is a customer relationship management system, which is incredible when onboarding your clients! Often people use their CRM system for marketing and getting clients into your funnel, but you can also use it once clients have engaged your firm as well. There are many CRM systems out there, they keep you connected to your customers, streamline processes, help improve sales and profitability.
A CRM system is a MUST in any small business, and we cover the exact CRM system that is best for you in the Scalable Business Lounge. A few CRM systems are: * Mailchimp;
* Active Campaign; and
* Pipedrive
Dropbox Dropbox is a great tool for onboarding as it can be your designated place to leave all relevant documents in there, and that way you can simply send them the link and you can both see/work on the same documents. This is the perfect onboarding tool as it is simple, easy to use, and very accessible for both client and lawyer.
Youtube Youtube, you can create videos, to onboard your clients and do it via a hidden link. What this means is that you can upload your video to Youtube, and then you can set it only to be viewed if they are sent the link. This is a great way to welcome clients, show them how to use the client portal, to train your team or anything you feel you may need to repeat in your law firm! How fab is automation!?
These are a few of the tech tools I have used in my business to automate and efficiently onboard clients in order to scale. If you would love to watch a FREE workshop on how to scale your business, DM me 'SCALABLE' through one of the links below, and I will send you all the details you need!
Until then, bye for now!

Welcome to another episode of the Being Unstoppable Podcast! This week, we will be diving into the Client Onboarding Process and talking about how to successfully nurture your new client’s through the first stages of your service. There is nothing worse than successfully retaining a new client, for the relationship to start off rocky or for them to leave your business in the early stages.
I recently had an experience whereas a customer, I was excited to invest in a top-tier package from a reputable brand. I was enticed by their convincing sales pitch, and as soon as I paid for the service & signed the documents, the incredible service stopped. As if the business were thinking "okay great, we have her now & our job is done." I was left feeling like I had wasted my money and that I had been forgotten.
What happened next… you will have to listen to the podcast for the full story.
This is a common mistake that is often made in business.
In this week’s podcast we discuss why it is so important to have an onboarding process that works for every client so that you can build a business full of raving fans. So, what is the process for a successful client onboarding experience?
1.Have an onboarding system in place If you have a team, you need to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding onboarding. In addition, your team will need to be aware of precisely what will happen to the client and who will do what. In my law firm, Collective Family Law, our process is systemised so that we always welcome every new client’s in a smooth transition from lead to client.
2.Start the relationship off on the right foot If you create trust in the relationship between your business and the client, you will be off on the right foot, leaving your new client feeling confident that they have chosen the perfect law firm for them. You will set the tone for an ongoing, positive ongoing relationship where your client’s expectations of your law firm are set. This will save you from putting out future fires and increase referrals to your firm and help you gain positive reviews.
3.What are the best practices for onboarding clients?
* Understand your customer. You should know back to front your client's persona and what unique obstacles each of your clients has, and what their pain points are. For my law firm in family law, even though 95% of matters are not urgent, we know that their persona and pain points lead them to believe that their matter is of the 5% of urgent matters. We understand that our new clients need immediate attention and support from our firm. They need these touchpoints to feel that again, we have got them.
Set clear expectations. Before a client retains you, they must know exactly what to expect from you, your business and what your team's process looks like. Setting your client's expectations up throughout the onboarding process as well as during your sales practice will save you time and time again. It is vital to reiterate the value of your service and what your client should be prepared for, including potential setbacks. Informing clients of potential setbacks will lead you to avoid disputes and misunderstandings.
Show value. Before your client engages your firm, you need to emphasise the value of your service and exactly how it will transform them. Informing your new client on how your service can help change their circumstances will help them focus on their goals, where they are heading, and how your law firm can help them get the results they desire.
Stay in constant communication with your client. Don't assume that your client is aware of every step that is before them. You and your team know every step, but don't assume your client does as well. Without undermining your client, explain to them exactly what the plan is for them. Put it in uncomplicated terms that even a 4-year-old could understand and outline every single step. You can never over-communicate! Remember your client may have never been in this situation before or they may have never engaged a lawyer before.
Go above and beyond. Your goal is to impress your client so much so, they refer you clients or leave you a raving review! This is what will make all the difference to your law firm growth and create a reliable name for your business. In my law firm, we go the extra mile to 'surprise and delight' our clients. What we do to surprise and delight our clients is sending them a custom box full of wellness goodies.
Even if you are a solopreneur, it is important that you have processes in place for every aspect because as your team grows, you can have over your process.

The reviews help me be heard in the big podcast world.
Welcome back to the podcast! This week I am coming to you from my office on the Gold Coast, but not for long! This week I am off to New Zealand for two weeks which is so exciting as I haven't visited home for a long time due to Covid!
Today I wanted to talk about just how important it is as a leader to take time off, to reset, rest and recharge to become more productive and be at the peak of your performance! I know it sounds counterintuitive that going on holiday can make you more money and more productivity, but it really can!
If you are new to business, it can feel like you are bogged down and can't take a break - this is exactly when you need to take a break. The whole reason you started your business was so you can have more time and freedom, right?
Before COVID, I was taking long breaks frequently. From 4-6 weeks at a time and Christmas breaks and flying places for extended weekends. Since COVID, I found that I was getting very bored and bogged down at home, which is the number one cause for unproductivity.
When you are fresh, your well-being is at its peak, and you can perform at a higher level! When you break up your day-to-day work life, you will find that you will enjoy what you do when you get back to your business!
If you are a person working 50, 60, 70 hours per week, perhaps you can't turn your emails off on the weekend - you need to tune out so you can recharge. The chance to escape your daily routine will revitalise and reset your mind so you can be a better leader.
Not yet convinced you can or should take a break? Let's go through the top points as to why it will benefit your business:
1.Having a holiday can reduce stress; When you take a break, it can reduce your stress. It allows you to take time away from routine and responsibilities. You go somewhere completely new so that you can switch off your regular thoughts and relax! Once your stress levels come down and you return to your routine - you will be a renewed human who loves what they do.
2. There are physical health benefits; Who said Cosmos on the beach isn’t good for you? Once you begin to relax and loosen all tensions in your body, you will find that your thought process and state of mind will be clearer when you return to work. Too much stress can lead to a whole range of health issues that will catch up with you. Overeating, sitting for too long, lack inactivity can all lead to poor physical health, getaway and reset your mind to produce peak physical health!
3.Your brain will thank you! Mentally, tuning out of your day-to-day life will do you a world of good. When you have the enormous burden of a business, a team, clients, home life, it can be overwhelming at times, which can rapidly decrease your productivity. Once you slow down on your holiday, your creativity comes back because you have the mental capacity to hold onto it!
You can see why turning off does more good than bad. It will help you to reconnect with yourself and align your priorities. At the end of the day, you aren't built to work yourself to the bone, and you only have one life!
4.When you have something to look forward to, life is better! You are so much more satisfied with your life. You feel happy and content. Taking regular holidays can help to create a healthy work/life balance that makes you happy! It is an excellent chance to spend time with the ones you love and reflect on your wonderful life. You did not start a business, so you can work your butt off 1000 hours a week. You started your business so you could have more freedom and time with those who you love. You don't want to be working for the worst boss you have ever had, yourself! Be kind to yourself and add holidays into your schedule.
5.Time off = increased creativity! As a business owner, you are the visionary! There is no other person in your business to be the visionary you can be! You are in the driver's seat, so you can see where it can all go wrong if you don't feel inspired? Taking a holiday will give you the time to read the books you want to read, relax in a beautiful environment as well as repair your brain to make space to scale!
So, you're convinced that it is time for a holiday? Now, how exactly do we get this holiday on track?
You need to systemise your law firm so that you can step away and know it is in safe hands!
When you have reliable systems in place for your business, when you are absent - there is no need to worry! Your staff and yourself will know exactly what needs to be done, where, when, and how. If you have the certainty that things are still going to be getting done as if you were there, then you can easily step away and go on holiday.
This may mean that you jump online to give your staff tasks for an hour a day while you are on holiday or to approve tasks to ensure you don't come home to an inbox of emails.
To be engaged with your family and loved ones is so important. It doesn't need to be a whole week or more, but spare yourself two nights in a road trip distance to appreciate the states we live in and get inspired!
I challenge you to lock something in today for the future holiday you are going on. Have your downtime so that you can be the best business owner possible! DM me where you are off to, I would love to know! I will be sharing my New Zealand trip on my Instagram, so jump on over and maybe even get some inspo for your upcoming holiday! This week in the Being Unstoppable Podcast, I hone into why a personality test can help you in your business.
I recently did a profile test for business owners, and it has been amazing how it solidified the strengths and weaknesses I have. This has helped me understand why some business tasks drain me and why others energise me.
There are plenty of tests out on the market. However, I was impressed with the profile test by Wealth Dynamics as it is specifically for entrepreneurs or business owners. The results of the test were so accurate for both myself and my senior counsel who is our team leader at my law firm.
Why take the test? The Wealth Dynamics test costs $97.00 US, and it is worth every cent to help you understand the dynamics of your team and or who you need to hire. The results highlight how to make things easier for yourself in your business & investments by working smarter, not harder. You can do this by focusing on your strengths and hiring to your weaknesses. It helps to create a clear focus on where your highest talents lie. This means that you can hire people where your shortcomings lie to help you grow your business in a way that you cannot do alone.
I want to share my test results with you, and how I am utilising the information projected from the test. When we did this profile testing, it was incredible how accurate it was, and both Jenni and I understood precisely why we hold the roles we do at Collective Family Law Group. I don’t excel at every aspect of my business. That is why I have hired Jenni, as she is my opposite and enjoys the tasks that I am not good at. For me, to then see this laid out in front of us in the test results, I could see what cracks she filled in for me and what I filled in for her. We laughed as it was absolutely hilarious just how ACCURATE this test was!
What will result in you doing this test? It will help you to identify exactly what your strengths are, and therefore, you then understand why things flow so much easier for you in different areas. You will then see where your weaknesses lay, which helps you understand why something is so unenjoyable and hard for you, and that is okay! It also helps you avoid pitfalls and takes the tasks you aren’t best at to then go off when making your next hire to fill the gaps! Knowing your strengths and weaknesses are as a business owner can help you to create a team of incredible people. It also helps you to understand your employees better so that they can thrive in your business and make their best contribution.
What was the result? The results of the test for me showed that I am a creator! This is very accurate as I love to start new projects, create new things, and forever be inspired by up-and-coming ideas! Whereas Jenni is an accumulator which means that she loves detail and spreadsheets. Many businesses test their potential staff members during the interview process. This is a great idea so that you employ the people you need to make your team complete. Below is a list of all the profile types from Wealth Dynamics:
Give it a go! If you have a team, or if you are on your own - I would highly recommend doing the Wealth Dynamics test. The test is extensive, which is great because it goes into detail about where you are, what your strengths are, and where your weaknesses lie. If you are able to insightfully look at these results, you are then able to really progress your business by hiring someone to essentially fill the gaps!
Let me know how you go! I would love to know if you sit the test and what progress you will take into your business from it!

This week on the Being Unstoppable podcast, we dive into the three mistakes business owners make when growing their team. The reality is that you are only one person, and you can only do so much yourself - your time is limited. If you want to scale your business beyond your hours, you will need to hire a team. These are three mistakes that I see law firms and service providers make.
1. Having the limiting belief that there is nobody who can do the work as well as you can.
Does this one resonate with you? Many business owners people make this mistake, especially service providers. The reality is that you feel like this because you are very good at what you do, which is why you started your business. You know that your work is of incredible quality, and it can be hard to trust someone else when your name is on the door. I get it!
Time and time again, I see firm owners who believe that if you want it done well, you need to do it yourself! The problem with this attitude is that they become overworked and tired with little to no results in the end.
Truth bomb: You can’t scale your firm if you are the only service provider in your business, long term. You also have a business to run. Being overworked and underpaid is the formula for resenting your business.
Systems and automation in your business will be the best thing you ever implement into your business - trust me! When you have systems in place, you can trust that your team will do things the way you want them done. This way, you never need to sacrifice quality.
2. Not hiring because they are afraid of not having consistent income to pay the team; Making that first hire can be scary. From there, creating new roles also feel risky! What if there is not enough money to pay the wages? When you don't have predictable data and you have collated it roughly in your head, it is scary.
When you run your business using data, everything becomes more predictable and clearer. Instead of guessing, you have real figures to back you up.
What do I mean by data? Sourcing numbers such as the following (but not limited to):
* How many clients do you need to turn over to make consistent income?
* What is your average dollar spend for each client that comes through the door?
* How many service providers do you need to service the number of clients you retain?
* What will the monthly revenue be for each service provider?
* What costs will be for each service provider?
This data is easily available to you, but many business owners surprisingly don’t know these numbers. If this idea overwhelms you, then don't worry I have got you. The Scalable Business Lounge takes all of the guesswork out of it. I guide you through exactly where and what you need to do to scale by breaking down everything you need to know for you to be able to work on your business rather than in it.
3. Only considering hiring juniors because they are less expensive.
Many business owners start by hiring juniors because they are less expensive, and it seems less scary. The issues are that juniors are not an investment (not right away), but instead, they are an expense. They take a lot of training and time. When you are already stretched for time, this is a recipe for disaster. It becomes unsustainable, as what happens from here is that you end up spending all of your time training this junior, and you become frustrated because you are already overworked. Do you see this issue? It is exhausting and overwhelming for the business owner. Then the business owner forms the view that there are no good people out there, and they may as well do the job themselves. It is a vicious cycle.
It is wiser to invest by hiring up and getting a team member to support you as the business owner. Hire a team member that is even better than you are and start creating a power team.

Today in the poddy, we discuss what the signs are when it is time to let go of ideas that no longer serve you or your business!
In business and life, there are times where we start something, and then we hang onto it, yet it actually doesn’t serve us or propel us forward. I have learned this myself, and I have found that we do it because we put so much time and energy into this particular venture or idea that we don't want to just let it go! However, by hanging onto it, we are prevented from making room for new and better things.
We can apply this ideology to many areas of our life, but today we will apply it to business.
When we hold onto things in our business, it may be as big as your business model or even just your Instagram account handle, for example, when you have evolved and moved on from that name or offer.
If you have been around for a while, you will know that in 2012 I started a brand called Real Food Pledge (totally separate from my law firm). My Instagram and Facebook business account used to be @realfoodpledge. You may have noticed my rebrand of these accounts to my own name a few years back.
The Real Food Pledge website was created in 2013, and there were a lot of things I loved about the model, including sharing all the recipes, creating books, going to food shows, and talking about food. In 2016 I created an online course that guided people to happier, healthier lives, yet it never succeeded in the way I thought it would, and even though I absolutely loved it.
I had to let it go and make room for things that served me, but it was hard. I didn’t want to let go and it took a number of years. The good things that I got out of Real Food Pledge are that I learned a lot about Facebook ads, blogging, websites, lead magnets, setting up lead pages etc. I have been able to apply to my law firm and now the Scalable Business Lounge! There is always room for evolution, and although it feels so scary to let go of it and leave the idea of making it work. If you have been working on something over and over, yet see no growth - when is it the time to move on and let go?
1.You have tried different ways to make it work, but it just never does! Your heart has changed, but we just keep ongoing, almost like flogging a dead horse. Not every idea we have is meant to work out the way we want it to, sometimes it comes along to guide us to where we are truly meant to be!
2. Justifying the negatives Listen to your justifying as warning signs that something needs to change. If you need to justify something, that is enough to know deep down what the truth is! Let it help you grow.
3. If it isn't helping you move forward, let it go! To become successful, you need to grow, pivot, and move! It will make you feel stuck and stagnant if you hold onto old things. Don't fear change, it will help you grow!
4. If something is holding you back, you are wasting time, energy, and motivation. You got into business for a reason, right? Not every day will be exciting; sometimes it is downright hard. If you are emotionally attached to the big ideas you have for this certain plan, it will start to make you feel like you've failed. It will zap away your motivation, leading to a negative mindset rather than a positive pivot!
For me, it took a long time to leave my Real Food Pledge because I loved the creation of it! It was fulfilling, yet the reality was that I only got the joy of creating it and not its actual content. I have created three beautiful books with Real Food Pledge and I have learned so much along the way, yet I knew that it was time to let it go.
It is so important to have the mindset that leaving these paths behind may be challenging, but it has been a stepping stone in exactly where you need to be. So, ensure you shoo away those feelings of time wasted, and realise that you are exactly where you are meant to be!

This podcast episode is a MUST LISTEN if you are in business, interested in business, or starting your own business; I promise this will be worth your while.
When I was in my early twenties, I was fortunate enough to go to a business event in Auckland, New Zealand, run by Brad Sugars - this event changed the course of my life. At the time, I was 21, and I had just started a new business. This was such a massive learning curve for me as I gained so much knowledge and a method to pursue business.
In the duration of the event, we were introduced to a book, and it has been life-changing for me, so of course, now I feel I must be your Brad Sugars!
No matter what type of business you have, you need to read this book as it is relatable to any business that you may run, even a law firm!
Introducing...The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber!
Why is this book worth the hype?
The E-Myth stands for the entrepreneurial Myth, which is the flawed assumption that business owners who are experts in their industry will ensure that they are successful in their business. The reality is that most of us start a business in the area that we are trained in. For example, I started a family law firm because I am a fabulous family lawyer. The book’s principle is that just because you are running a business in an area that you are great in doesn't mean that you will have a great business.
The E-Myth is the go-to guide on how to create a successful business, it is different from other business books as it is straightforward, and the principles are very relatable. There is a very well-known statistic that 80% of businesses fail in the first year. This is broken down in the book and gives you strategies to ensure you remain uncounted from that statistic. The E-Myth is heavily focused on structured systems and how they will help create more freedom, profit, and an excellent team!
The E-Myth is structured around the idea of working on your business, not in your business which is exactly what my business coaching program, the Scalable Business Lounge preaches! The Scalable Business Lounge shows you and helps you implement systems to ensure your business would be covered if you needed to take a break or take leave.
The all-inclusive Scalable Business Lounge includes instant access to the Scalable Business Formula and exclusive live events. It also includes but is not limited to:
· Monthly Accountability · Monthly Live Workshops · Live Group Coaching Calls · Scalable Business Formula Online Program where we focus on marketing, automation, and data-driven results.
I would highly recommend jumping to get ahold of The E-myth for yourself and if you are considering a business - get on it! I promise you that it will be one of those things you will never forget and be so grateful that you have read. Today on the Being Unstoppable Podcast, we are talking all things - PAID TRAFFIC!
In particular, we will be talking about Google AdWords and Facebook Ads. Just a disclaimer, I am not a qualified expert in this area, but I have been running Google Ads for about ten years, and I have been running Facebook Ads for about eight years. I have learned a lot in this time as a business owner about these two types of paid traffic.
Paid ads are incredible if you know how to use them properly! Using ads can be very expensive, which takes a lot of confidence initially as you learn. I understand the fear you may face if you are new to ads or a small marketing budget. Let me help grow your confidence by sharing with you everything I have learned in the paid traffic world.
I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on paid traffic on both Google ads and Facebook ads over the years. These two ad types are not the same. There are some significant differences between Google Ads and Facebook Ads, so what are they?
Google Ads, what are they? Google ads have a different audience type from what the Facebook audience is. Google is a search engine, whereas Facebook is not a search engine. What that means is that if someone identifies that they have a problem, and they type that problem in with the keyword contrary to your running ad, your ad may pop up at the top of Google.
What are the benefits? With Google Ads, you have instant clients ready to take action if your ads are set up correctly. This is because the client has taken the initiative to Google a solution for their problem. Along with this, Google Ads is very measurable, which is a huge benefit because if we don't measure, how are we to know whether money is being invested well?
Facebook Ads, what are they? Facebook and Instagram ads are the same channel as Facebook owns Instagram, which is awesome because the same ad can go out to two channels. Facebook (and Instagram) are different from Google ads as people are not searching. Instead they are scrolling for nothing in particular. The targeting is different as it taps into even deeper audience targeting through behaviour, demographics and interests
What are the benefits? Facebook ads are amazing to grow your email list full of ideal clients. Once you get someone off Facebook and Instagram and onto your mailing list you can then form a relationship with them to nurture that client.
The other great use for Facebook ads is that the retargeting strategy. This can be very successful. Retargeting is when a client lands on your website for example, or has engaged with you on social media and then a Facebook and Instagram ad then appears in their feed. Now lets's talk about the juicy stuff... The Disadvantages!
Google Ads, what are the disadvantages? * Google Ads can be complicated to set up, and I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. It is best to have a Google Ads expert to set this up unless you are prepared to do a lot of learning and spend some money on ads that don’t work while you learn.
* Google are not as targeted as Facebook,
* The cost per conversion is VERY competitive.
* The way it works is that you are bidding and completing e for the first place.
Facebook Ads, what are the disadvantages? * You have people who are randomly scrolling, your ad pops up and they haven't searched for you which can result in the ad going to waste. There may be action takers who are scrolling, but it is not the same as Google ads where people specifically search your business. * Often these people are not willing to buy straight away, so you do need to set up a funnel for them. This means you get the client's information through an offer, i.e. Sign up now for your free checklist. Once they put their email into your form, they go onto a list where future content will be distributed from, which is a long-tail process, rather than Google, where it has been intended to take action right away.
If you haven't yet experimented with paid traffic, whether it be Facebook or Google, give it a go. It is worth the investment if you do it right and have a basic understanding! I recommend starting with a very small budget and working your way up. You don't have to start with a huge budget, you want to grow in confidence, grow your budget and then grow your audience!

Putting content on social media can be daunting, and when it comes to being vulnerable and putting your true self out there, it can be debilitating! You worry about who might be listening, who might be judging, who might be watching, all sorts of fears creep in there! On top of that, you may have fears around what to post, when to post, how to post, and what platforms?
All of those imposter syndrome feelings start creeping in, and they can stop you from putting your brand out into the world. In turn, this prevents you from making a positive impact on people’s lives. If you want to create a successful brand and business, you need to share yourself with the world.
If you don't put your brand out there, nobody will know, like, and trust you, which results in them not knowing how you can help them. Therefore, it is vital to overcome the fear and start putting your brand out there!
In this podcast episode, I will take you through the easy steps of tapping on social media to establish your brand to attract your ideal clients, partners, and team members. A successful social media campaign relies on these pillars;
Relatable + Memorable = Followers
Whatever industry you are in, you still need to work on these two strategies, or you will become lost in the sea of social media posts. No matter what business you are in, this is possible, even when you are in a very non-sexy business like law! Look at my firm, where we specialise in divorce! It isn't sexy, so how do I make it relatable and memorable?
Don't shy away from showing your personality. Stand out and show it! Sometimes when we feel like we are being funny or showing our true selves, the difficulty is that we are then not appearing to be professional. Simply not true! The truth is you can still be professional and show your personality it will draw your client in as they can see you are human. Remember, your vibe attracts your tribe!
You can express yourself in many ways. Talking in front of a camera may seem daunting, but you can ease into it. Begin to show your character by sharing your morning coffee, beach walks, or a funny thing that happened to you! Humans buy from humans, and I guarantee that it will capture attention and help clients to know, like, and trust you.
When you provide content, ensure that it speaks to your clients! If you are posting things that relate to your audience and align with their values, it is only a matter of time before you will begin to see people sharing and interacting with your content. Have you ever clicked through a piece of content and thought, 'that is exactly how I have felt.' I bet you have and I bet you there is a business that has just popped into your head that did just that. Keep this in mind when being authentic, you can be that person who captures the memory of someone else. Step into your client's shoes. How will your client feel? If you have not been in them in the past, research!
Ask questions and engage! Put questions out there, interact with the people who follow you. Don't leave them hanging. You want to create a relationship between yourself, your content, and your audience. Authentically share yourself with your audience because people will love you! You don't need to worry about what people think, you are not going to be for everybody, but you don’t need to be. Whoever you are worried about isn't your client anyway. When you put content out there, think about how you will positively impact people. What is the worst that can happen?

Welcome to another Being Unstoppable Poddy! Today we have a serious topic that we will all come to head with - no matter how successful your business is... Difficult clients and reviews that do not reflect what your business is.
The more people you serve, the more complaints you will get. For me, in the Family Law game, it is inevitable that we can receive bad reviews because hey, it is such a high pressure time for our clients and they don't want to be spending money on a divorce - I understand! Although this can be frustrating to it is how you deal with these complaints that really counts.
I am going to share with you how to gracefully deal with bad reviews and ensure they do not ruin your week or even longer. Before we dive in, read the below...
Do not take this personally! Put your emotions aside! This is not about you personally, this isn't about you as a person. This doesn't mean that sometimes it may feel like it because it can feel persona. You know what? Sometimes, the complaining client is the one you have bent over backwards for! This is business. this is not personal - no matter where the review is coming from, whether it be a mistake or whether it is just a person who feels they need to complain. In saying this, it is also important to listen to what the client is saying.
When responding to a client complaint, here is what you need to do:
1. Avoid challenging their complaint;
When someone makes a complaint, the natural thing to do is to get on the defense but that is going to make things worse. Do not tell the customer that they are wrong, this will escalate the situation. Instead of challenging the complaint, listen to what they are saying and his may sound crazy, but thanking the client for their review can totally positively effect your business. If it is a genuine compliant, that is some really good information that you can use to better that area of your business. Be grateful that this client had the courage to reach out and give you this useful source of information that is going to help your business flourish. Kill them with kindness!
2. When a client complains, it can often be because they need a vent! This type of complaint does not want want anything out of it, or any problem solving they just want to be heard, so... Just hear them out and it may be enough to defuse the entire situation!
3. Acknowledge what they have said; This does not mean just listening to them and their complaint but when you let the customer know that this is appreciated and you have taken it on board. The client is not expecting you to acknowledge, they are expecting you to fight back. So, when you acknowledge their comment, you are automatically defeating their expectation because they might have received that type of event in the past.
4. Be flexible and don't be rigid in this situation; Now, your client may not want a resolution, they might just be looking for an ear to be heard. If they do want a resolution, you need to be flexible to meet on same grounds. This doesn't necessarily mean a discount as this isn't always possible in every industry. Sometimes, it may suit your business to give out a discount, but sometimes it may be to suggest a different service provider. Perhaps, you may need to oversee the work more regularly or maybe you need to arrange more face-to-face meetings. There are so many things you can do around the client to help the client out, but be flexible.
Once you have narrowed down to a specific solution, ask the client if that would be satisfactory form them. Communicate with that client and work together to create a positive ending to this.
5. Make sure your client knows what you are saying; Sometimes when we are offering a resolution or working on what can or cannot do to accommodate your client, you might need to ask them if they understand this solution and what it is. You have to do this in a non-demining way and state your intent. This is best done in an email, or if you have spoken via telephone to relay the conversation and have it in writing.
6. Do offer an apology... with gratitude! The thing about offering an apology is that you do not need to say you apologize for the topic they have complained about. You need to be honest about this, because only you know if there has been a good job done or not. You need to either apologise for the action or you can apologise that the client felt this way in regard to your service. It is just acknowledging that you have heard the, you have listened and you are prepared to give an apology.
7. Follow to customer up a few days later; and As we mentioned above, you need to email the client with the solution you have agreed upon, and then a few days later follow up with the client to check on how the solution is going for them. This will make them feel appreciated and will let them know that they are important client to you. All clients are important to businesses as we would not have a business without clients. We do want to make sure that we are looking after them!
8. Move on! Don't dwell on any complaints that you have had. This takes away time that you could use working on your business. Clients who complain can take a massive chunk out of your day if you sit on it for too long, it will affect your team and even your other clients. Depending on how you deal with it and how fast you move on with it, depends on how long this process is going to take to move past the complaint. Do not loose focus from this complaint, it can easily suck up energy and rejig your teams work day.
The key is, if you have a structure when it comes to receiving negative reviews you will be able to move through that complaint seamlessly and effectively to get the best result. When you have this streamline process, you can go home, switch of and not loose any personal time to these complaint.

This BONUS episode is all about the new phenomenon, Clubhouse!
What is clubhouse and what do you need to know? Listen in as Caralee dives into the ins and outs of Clubhouse that you may want to know before getting started:
1. It is an audio based social media app!
When you are inside the app, you are inside listening! There really isn't any space for you to type context etc. If you are a host then you will be talking, essentially taking the 'class.'
2. It is still in BETA testing phase... It isn't available to everyone yet and you can only use the app on an iPhone currently.
3. You can only be invited: To use the app, you need to be invited! Despite this, there are already millions of users currently on the app which is amazing!
4. How does it work? It allows you to create and join what they call 'rooms' where you can then chat with others in a conference call style. In general, these rooms have a title, so that you know what you are in there talking about. You are only allowed a specific number of invites to distribute within the relevant people, therefore you won't be able to invite everyone you know...
When you are in these rooms and you are the moderator, you are the only one who can talk. Everyone else will just listen in. If you select to put your hand up, the moderator can then invite that person to speak... a bit like a classroom situation!
There can be numbers of moderators or there can be just one. You can leave the room quietly if you feel that you would like to leave.
Why do you need Clubhouse? The amazing thing about Clubhouse, because it is so new - there are some INCRED people in there talking and you can be apart of their conversation! People like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and these people are LIVE in there with you! How cool!?
If you can get an invite into Clubhouse, it is absolutely worth a try! From a business perspective, it is a great place to make connections and to learn from others. It is so amazing to have all of this incredible information and potential right before us!
It is such a great way to connect and spread knowledge on topics that are meaningful to you! It is kinda like an interactive podcast where you can stop and ask questions! If you would like to find out more in Clubhouse... Click here!

Today on the podcast I am talking about how to avoid making fear based decisions! A super important topic when entering your new year!
This is a topic that needs to be spoken about as like it or not, fear holds us back! In the process of goal setting, meeting plans or even just trying something you have always wanted to try, fear will slowly start to creep in and tell you not to do it...
🌟 Plan + Fear = Stoppable.
OR
🌟 Plan + Learning/ identifying how to deal with fear = Unstoppable
The choice is yours, now how do we recognize if a decision is based off fear?
👉🏼 Recognize Your Fear. It Is NOT An Obstacle! 👉🏼 Own Your decisions based on love, growth and strategy, change is good! 👉🏼 How do you know if you are making empowered or fearful decisions? Kick that negative self talk in the butt! 👉🏼 Judgement or Rejection? 👉🏼 Making Decisions, Within Your Comfort Zone! 👉🏼 The Fear Of Scarcity 👉🏼 You Feel Like You Are Sacrificing Too Much 👉🏼 That Gut Feeling...
Now that you can tune in as to where these feelings are coming from, you will be able to go about making decisions that are not fear based, and decisions that will drive you forward. Fear will stunt your growth!

It is a new year in 10 days! Now is the best time to reset your mind and your actions so that you can come back fresh in the new year! In saying that, let's go through why you need to set goals in the new year.
The Scalable Business Society will give you the step by step method on how to create success. From my exact spreadsheets, to the social media scheduling - I share it all. Start 2021 the best way possible with the Scalable Business Society!
You are missing HUGE opportunities: Setting goals is the biggest factor when it comes to success. It is almost 100% of my business success. Goals are a compass to navigate you to focus and continue fulfilling the action steps that keeps you accountable for your goals. This is not always just a revenue or a turn-over goal, setting SMART goals in your business can range from a new product, team, culture, clients, content, monthly goals - anything!
Goals set your mind in motion and tells the universe what will happen: If you put it out there, you are spreading the intuition that it will happen. Your brain is constantly replaying what you want in your head and the more you drive towards it, the bigger it will become! You attract what you put out. Manifesting Matisse is the most incredible read and goes into depth about this concept.
As you write your goals down, do NOT limit yo'self! In the past, the only regret I had when setting goals is that I would hold myself back as my reality would just come and shut them down - how wrong was I! When you are committing to your goal, you write it down and make it exactly what you want - no holding back!
WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR GOALS... 1. Believe and embrace that whatever your goal is, will happen.
2. You are telling the universe what you want - don't limit yourself
3. If that goal came true, would it be enough? Are you putting limitations in your way?
4. Your goals should scare the sugar out of you!
5. Why not you? You deserve whatever it is that you desire. It is yours for the taking!
6. Put a deadline on that goal. Monthly Goals = Annual Goals.
You can often forget why you started your business in the first place: Often in business, people can be mislead to believe you will make more money and make your dream an instant reality. In this hustle it can be so easy to be bogged down in life and then you end up chasing the wrong bits of business - you forget what you started your business for and what the push behind it was.
Success Culture: When you have team members who are on the journey with you to reach those goals - it is the best thing ever! You will get the best out of your team members, when they are climbing the same mountain as you. You don't have to take all of these steps by yourself, but you do need to lead them up the mountain. Your team will also find the benefit of gelling together and enjoying the company of their team. Accountability will also be reached by having individual KPI. Try setting your team some personal/professional goals.
Clarity during the new year, don't let the year roll by! When you write your goals down, you gain a tunnel vision of what you want! As we move into the next year, you need intention! You don't want the year to roll by, instead you can focus on monthly goals, gained momentum and achieve them!
Create the business of your dreams! You are actually gearing your business towards the life you want to create! Afterall, isn't that why you went into business in the first place? If you do not feel like you are in the drivers seat on your life, it may be all down to intentions! Don't let them slip away from you as this will reign the direction back in to hit your dream business!
To help you out with the basics of your goal setting, head over to caraleefontenele.com to get your FREE DOWNLOADBLE GOAL PLANNER for 2021!

Well, it is no secret that 2020 has been an absolute whirlwind of a year, however it is super important to take away the positive learnings with the experiences you have been through as it is unlike any other!
In this BONUS podcast I dive deep into the importance of taking gratitude with every step of your life and just how we can take those learnings and set them as intentions for 2021!
1. Appreciate the simple things! Every. Darn. Day. The smallest things, going to the shopping mall to going on a plane, how our perspectives have changed! Appreciate that we don't have certainty. This isn't something to be concerned about, rather an opportunity to realize how every moment of joy and happiness is a blessing and we are just so lucky every time we feel that.
2. When you have a great team, amazing things can happen! Having a reliable and flexible team has been a major positive appreciation that I have taken on board this year. Having people around you who can be there for you when you need them is just an amazing support system through the good and bad. Having resourceful and resilient people around you will make a massive difference in your life. You need yo tribe!
3. The pandemic has given me an opportunity to reset expectations. This is for my own personal expectations that I have up on myself and of those around me. This down time has made me take space to be grounded has truly made a difference in my life. I have allowed myself to slow down and take space!
4. Leveraging Off Technology In my law practice I have this thing where I have had a false belief that I have needed to be in the office and seeing all of my clients face-to-face yet that has been completely shifted! This year has absolutely made us realise that we can be more flexible, we can get more work done at home and we can also be far more time efficient!
5. Life doesn't need to be in a set-way! Just because it is the way you have always done it, doesn't mean that you should do it like that. This year I have had way more balance, time and I am enjoying things a whole lot more these days! I am not run off my feet!
My intention for 2021: Do Not Loose These Learnings!
1.We can't take the basic things in life for granted anymore! 2020 has proven to be a year with so many lessons some have been very hard to swallow and some have been positively life changing.
2. You can pull together and make this happen when you have an incredible team
3. What are you going to reset in your life? How will you shape your life
I challenge you to focus on one word of how you would like 2021 to look. My one word is JOY! I want to find joy in all of the journey, all of the things no matter how big or small they are as we just don't know

Well, today I share with you exactly how I did scale and the 3 big mistakes I made that kept me from scaling my business! Oh and by the way, I see these mistakes being made frequently - so listen up as you might just be who I am talking about!
However, before I get started I want to quickly tell you about the Scalable Business society which will ensure that you are step-by-step guided through all of the waves in your business, and ensure you get out on top. If you would like to scale your business, by working less and spending more time working on your business rather than in it, then come on over to the Scalable Business Society! Anyway, back on to the three major mistakes I made that kept me stuck in m business!
👉🏼 1. The More You Work, The More Successful You Will Be... Oh.Em.Gee! I used to work my butt off 10 hours a day, trying to play catch up and really I was just running on a treadmill. Doing the same things, over and over, not automating because I thought it may be too hard. Boy, oh boy was I wrong! If you are already maxed out on time, how will you make time to work on your business to meet goals and GROW?
👉🏼 2. Trying To Attract Clients One At A Time... I have seen this SO many times, instead of businesses making a marketing machine that is automated, that can attract multiple clients and come into the sales machine in a way that ensure you are not the one having to do all of the hard work.
👉🏼 3. Do Not Wear All Of The Hats! Do you often put off a job because it would be easier just doing it than telling someone how to do it? Okay, how do you feel about doing 100 of those jobs? Do you see the problem!? Take the time out and invest in automating and telling someone once how to do something and never having to look at that job again OR creating a service that does so. (I give you the exact platforms and insight on how to do this in the Scalable Business Society) If you are the only one doing all the tasks, you will be capped out and you will not be able to make any more money than you do at your most stressed moment. Why would you do that to yourself!? Scale and automate!
This is exactly how I run my Scalable Business Society as I guide my students through how to grow, attract and automate your business faster, in a way that won't have so many curveballs and pitfalls along the way!

How To Get Back On Track When Life Hits You With A Curveball...
Have you ever had a curveball (big or small) get in the way of your strong mindset and the flow of your life? Yes, your answer is yes! This podcast is the 9 tips on how the heck you get out of a curveball efficiently and effectively to pursue your success!
1. Understanding that change is going to happen:
Life is not ever going to remain exactly how it is right now. Scary? - Yes but to be prepared and have understanding will set you up and prepare you with the tools you need to be the best you can in any given situation.
2. Know that some of those changes are going to be VERY challenging: Yep, I am not only talking about the podcast I accidentally deleted off the earth, I am talking about really massive challenges; divorce etc. These changes can be massive and it is how you react which will set the mark. You must have these key principles in order to adapt, overcome and keep on going.
3. Accept the new change and embrace it: There is change - change, is good! Change is what makes the world keep ticking around! Learn to embrace it and accept the new change. Fighting the change will never work in your favor.
4. Keep an open mind: What may be initially a disaster, may just be the best thing that has ever happened to you. You won't see it right away, but overtime you will look back, reflect and accept! It may just be the exact thing your life needed.
5. Be kind and add humor: Look, if we don't laugh we will cry... Be kind, uphold yourself to the change and understand that this change will implement ethics in you that never would be if this didn't happen! Some of my biggest growing points are where the uncomfortable things lie.
6. Do something amazingly beautiful for yourself: You have to nurture yourself. When I say all of these points, I say it out of care. Don't force anything on yourself. This is new, you are learning, you are allowed to feel all the feels! Do something that makes your heart sing. When I went through my divorce, I took myself and my daughter to Paris! This is one extreme, however also a bath with some champagne will never go astray!
7. Just get back out there: You git this girl! Once you have practiced all of these steps, you will be quick to work out you just need to keep going. Like when I lost a few of my staff last year, did I say screw it and close the business? No, you keep on going and hire more amazing people! Perspective is so vital when it comes to change and it will show just how strong you really are! Keep on going girlfriend, change is what makes us better humans with more confidence, experience and development.
Keep on going girlfriend, change is what makes us better humans with more confidence, experience and development. 🙌🏼

* Free workshop - HOW TO ATTRACT THE RIGHT CLIENTS WITHOUT NEEDING TO WORK IN YOUR BUSINESS DAILY IN ORDER TO SCALE.
This week I chat all about what it LOOKS like to scale, without feeling completely bogged down as if you are just starting out - you will be wearing MANY hats! How do you actually scale when you are doing so much and you feel like you are trapped? I have really investigated what it is in my business that has drastically helped me scale my business at the rate it has, to which I came to the below steps.
You need a vision! As a leader of the business you MUST have a vision. If you don't know where you are going to be taking this business, you will be fazing through your business. Do you want to just float through your business? NO! You need a compass of where you are heading, and as the leader in your business it is up to you to map out that vision. The truth is, that vision may change over time, however that is good! Sit down, plan and map out your business - Time goes so quickly, 2021 is 2 months away! In the Scalable Business Society our first topic is visualisation and how to see where you are going.
Thinking big and be bold! It can be so challenging if you have limiting beliefs to be able to push through and see the back end of them. You need to know that you deserve to be in this life, yes, it is hard, but you are here for a reason! The energy you put out is exactly what you will get back – FACTS! Change your mindset and act!
Scale your personal brand! People buy from people. People want YOU to service them. Your brand is your business! It is so important to build this profile and to not be scared to pop your head up from your business and show yourself! If we are so busy working in our business rather than on it, we do not have time to show our expertise online, networking etc then you are totally missing out. Once you start building your brand and you aren’t scared to put yourself out there as the expert in your industry and attract the right clients and team members – then you can scale! You cannot scale on your own, you need a team and clients.
Establishing key advisors! Coaching! Mentors! Leaders! These people come in many forms and I would not be where I am today without it, 100%! The Scalable Business Society is an excellent example that will drastically give you what you need to leverage and implement into your business. I have also had other people in businesses who have been in my position, and I have networked, communicated, and acted. It is so important to be having conversations and mingling to get where you desire.
Systems, processes, and automation's! Guess what, although you may think you can do it all on your own, you cannot! You need to be automating your business in all area that it is possible. You are not going to be able to grow your business any further without these processes in place. This may be a tech thing that you implement in the business or even a team process. Tech and Team, remember that! How do you set up the systems – The Scalable Business Society will step-by-step guide you.
You need a team! This does not mean that this needs to be on-site and employed under you, this can be as simple as having a VA overseas, or a platform that allows you to upload and they take it from there. This means that you need to train them, trust me this is an excellent time investment.
Working on your business, rather than in your business! If you are in your business doing tasks that could be automated, you are not working on it! Working on it means that it will become scalable and take up less of your time. If you have not read the The E-Myth, you neeeeed to! It will change your business game/mindset.

Oh well hello podcast lovers! Today When you stay in your own lane, you are looking forwards which makes reaching your goal simpler, as you are not looking side-to-side at your competition.
When you start looking side-ways, it slows you down! Your goals and purpose has nothing to do with anyone else. So what does staying in your own lane actually mean?
* Minding your own darn business;
* Not worrying about what your competitors are doing, what your friends and what anyone else is doing;
* Do not let yourself be de-railed by things that are going on in the different aspect of your life and focusing on the vision; and
* Do not compare to social media posts!
Soooo, how do you do that?
1. Be In tune with your goals!
Have you written your goals d0wn? If not, how are you going to visualise your goals if you aren't writing them down? When you have fuzzy goals, it is SO easy to get distracted and move lanes! Write down a 5-year goals, as if they have happened already!
2. New competitors come through! Staying on purpose for you is so important because the competition is constantly changing and you simply will not have time to be keeping up with the roll of different businesses. Although your business may sell the same product, offer the same service, have the same target market - if you are thorough in your businesses goals and values, the competition diminishes.
3. Nobody is as awesome as you! When it comes to comparing yourself it is a major form of neglecting yourself. If you are pulled over on your journey to being unstoppable and you are no longer driving in your lane - you are neglecting your purpose!
4. You have no control over anything, but your own lane! There is absolutely no point in wasting your time trying to control the actions of your competitors! Do not waste your time trying to keep an eye out or to stop the competition - it ain't gonna happen! If you are in a business team, you also need to realise that you cannot stop your team from looking over at competitors. I just have to stay on point and remain purposeful to my goals and ensure I am doing the very best I can for my team.
5. Life is not a race! If your goals are down the end of the highway and you are going 50km per hour to get there, you are still going to reach them! If you are going 150km per hour to get there, you will also get to your goal! There are no highway police in this game! It is up to you, however you want to reach YOUR goals.
6. Other people's accomplishments will never take away from your own.. It is amazing to be around other striving, unstoppable women and we should be able to celebrate that, they are doing super well! However, do not let this throw you off your track! This does not take away the fact that you are doing amazing as well! There are so many things going on that are just vanity metrics, we don't get to see anything but the results! We only see what they wanna share with us! Do you see how dangerous comparisons can be!?
You will get distracted along the way! I still get distracted, so many distractions in the last month that have thrown me off for a sweet second yet the quicker you get back in your lane the better. The most vital factor to this equations is that you are mindful enough as to how you are staying in your own land, are you looking sideways and pull yourself back when you begin to derail!
It is okay to slow down or speed up, just don't stop!

Now, onto the reasons WHY you should be vulnerable and share your stories with your audience! So, this week what triggered this poddy was that I was scrolling on Facebook and I found a super fascinating post of a lady who shared her Tax return. This wasn't a negative or insensitive post, instead she was explaining the facts that although taxes have a huge negative sti9gma around them, in her business she found that her business was THRIVING! It got me thinking and here we are!
In my success story, I have been through a divorce and so many times I have thought to myself, is this too much to share or should I block this side of my life out? Often when I sit in meetings with ne3w clients I have a quick thought of; "I am the professional, I shouldn't share my personal divorce story with this client," yet, the second I wipe that idea and share my vulnerable story - the client then feels safer as they know I understand.
What should you be sharing and what shouldn't you be sharing when it comes to your business?
1. It is SUCH a powerful tool when it comes to powerful branding!
2. Get closer with your clients and gain a relationship developed from trust and safety.
3. Communicated stories can be the backbone of your ENTIRE marketing strategy.
4. When you can convey a story of how you came out of the pain point, to overcoming the challenge in an amazing way - attracts your exact client far better than if you weren't to share your story.
5. Clients what to connect through personal transformation and ensure that they are not alone in their situation.
When you are scrolling through the internet and a post comes up for a potential service or product, what do you connect with? Do you connect with data or statistics? Or do you connect with personal stories and images that relate to them?
If you can weave stories into your business, you 100% need to - however, this requires vulnerability!
You may feel vulnerable and embarrassed about certain stories in your life, yet DO NOT let this hold you back because I can guarantee that you are not alone! Sometimes I feel embarrassed about being divorced twice or that I was a high school drop out, yet that has leaded to so many opportunities in the Family Law Firm and in my Coaching Business!
People don't buy from businesses, people buy from people.
Please let me know if you loved today's poddy and as you know, each week I choose a review and shout it out! Also, don't forget to subscribe and give me a rating as it helps me keep track of what you like to listen to and spread my message further!

So last week we chatted about the importance of stepping into responsibility and how you can flourish personally and professionally. This week I will be stepping you through how to actually step into responsibility and the vital 7 steps you need to take to get the most out of your life.
The feeling you get when stepping into responsibility may be that feeling that you are lacking in your life and once you have stepped into it, you will feel more empowered than ever. To feel accomplished and to be your best self it is important to cover all topics that may make you feel uncomfortable.
We all know how stressful life can get, and how quickly things can get a little bit… out of control!
It’s so easy to blame things on other people or the circumstances around you. Stepping up and taking responsibility for what’s going on in your life is one of the most important things you will ever do – and one of the best. When you own what’s happening in your life, you can really start to shape your future and create the life that you desire.
This podcast is super important, especially if you are in some way in a leadership role, it is our job to lead with example and take responsibility for those things that we may feel uncomfortable about.
Have you ever thought of having a life coach and how it could effect your mentality and well-being? You don't need to be in a professional industry or own a business to be interested in getting a coach! Sometimes the perfect time to get one is when you are at a T intersection in your life and you are not sure which road to take next, which will help you open up too new opportunities and trust in the process.
Do you find that perfectionism can hold you back from being the best person you can be? No matter what walk of life you are from perfection can hold us back from living our best lives, moving forward and achieving what we want. It can prevent us for accepting ourselves, loving the bodies we have, where we live or finding a loving relationship. This week Caralee talks about how important it is to be able to break through perfectionism in business, life and parenthood. Perfectionism is desired due to society applauding high standards of excellence, as a culture we have become even more invested in for perfection.
Break through this barrier with reasoning and solutions on how you can succeed in wellness and in life.
To be unstoppable you may think that you need unlimited time, money or to just simply feel like you have it all together but in this episode, Caralee is here to tell you it is far more important with what goes on in your mind. To be unstoppable is to break barriers that you may not have even realized you had. It is to know your boundaries, and push them a bit further. It is to never take NO as an answer! Listen in as Caralee takes you through 11 simple strategies that will encourage you to be an unstoppable woman!
During the podcast Caralee chats all about the Facebook group that she has created for all like-minded, unstoppable women. This group has the main purpose to motivate, inspire and support all women from any place! In today's podcast Caralee uncovers the incredible benefits that come with eating real food. Caralee walks us through her Real food journey, and how issues she didn't even know I had disappeared after a short time of eating wholefoods. Caralee will go through all of the personal benefits I have found in my Real food journey and also go through some simple tips you can implement into your day-to-day lifestyle to slowly cut out all processed foods. It is so important to fuel your body with the nutrients it needs in order to be your best self.
In this day and age, it is so easy to find yourself stressing over things you have no control over. Often, as humans we think that the more we control, the more we will succeed – but this isn’t the case at all! Worrying about things in life that we have no control over can be highly consuming and can stop you from living your best life. In this podcast, I take you through a step-by-step guide on how to train your brain to start focusing on what you can control and how your mind will benefit.
Did you know that 20 minutes per day for a whole year, is equivalent to one week per year?! How crazy is that thought! In this podcast I am going to guide you through how 20 minutes per day can change your life if they are dedicated to the right things. I also point out how you may not even realize that you are wasting 20 minutes per day on unnecessary things. Listen as I guide you through how simple actions and methods to creating a better, healthier life.
Have you ever felt exhausted, overwhelmed and quite literally, just over it!? I think that it is safe to say that we have all experienced feeling this way from time to time.
It can get to a point that you just want to throw your hands in the air and runaway to Bali (or insert other dreamy destination), because you have had enough, feel pressured and are overwhelmed. When we get in this zone, it is not much fun for ourselves or for the people around us. Often, we allow this to happen because we have not set healthy boundaries for ourselves and rather we are just let life happen.
In this podcast , I look at ways to set healthy boundaries and the benefits that having strong and clear boundaries bring to our lives.
Whether we realize it or not, we all have beliefs and some of these beliefs are limiting us from our full potential or from the life that we dream of. Have you ever wondered why you cannot seem to achieve what you want or why you just can’t get started on something? Do you find yourself listing out all the reasons and excuses that you can’t or that it would not work for you? Have you ever considered that it might actually be YOU holding yourself back from achieving success or achieving your goals? Limiting self-beliefs reveal themselves in our lives in different ways. Even if we think our beliefs are positive, a limiting belief can often stop us in our tracks. In this podcast I will be guiding you through multiple strategies that can be used, to help your self limiting beliefs and the best way to live the life you have always dreamt of.
When we are going through the motions of life, we are often not present and we are simply just there in body. To show up as the best version of yourself, means that you will enjoy a fuller and more joyful life. But how do you achieve this there is so much to get done and not enough hours in the day. In this episode, Caralee shares her tips on how to show up everyday as the best version of yourself.
To nourish yourself is not just about the food that we eat, but rather there are so many factors in life that make us whole and nourished. There is such a huge emphasis in our culture on body image, however our bodies are only a piece of the puzzle. In this episode Caralee explores the other ways in mind, body and spirit that we can nourish ourselves, even when life is busy.
You may have heard about working smarter and harder, but what does this mean in practical terms. Caralee gives you strategies that can be applied in work or at home, helping you to create a healthier life.
When we place our self-care and mental well-being at the forefront of our focus, everything becomes easier. If we don't then stress and overwhelm can become a feature of our lives=s, which leads to ongoing health issues, not to mention simply not being able to cope with every day life, as well as possible. We often spend so much time concerned with appearance, however fail to care for ourselves from the inside out. In this episode Caralee shares five strategies to help boost your self-care and mental well-being.
Taking the time to nourish yourself, is one of the most important things that you can do with your time, yet often in our stressful, busy lives it is the first thing that we let go of. Meet host Caralee Fontenele, business owner and lawyer, turned self-love for success junkie and author, dives deep on topics to help you achieve wellness and success.
