I am an artist and student concentrating in sculpture and double-minoring in psychology and art history. I started making sound art in 2020, and have since released 5 "seasons" of sounds. The first one involves sound and object, the second is voicemails from family, the third is a single episode including sounds of a car ride, the fourth is joints popping, and the fifth is a series of church bells.
I live between two churches, which both have regularly scheduled church bells that are audible from my bedroom window. Whenever I notice them and have my phone nearby, I record the conglomeration of noises; bells from the two churches, noises from outside my window, and inside my building.

This is a recording of me driving from my mom's house (my childhood home) to my apartment in New Brunswick. I left at around 9:00 at night. I am interested in how a listeners' thoughts wonder, as mine do when I drive. I am curious how the viewer feels and if it aligns with how my mood was when I was driving. Also, do yawns transfer with just audio? Go ahead an marinate in the sound of this drive, enjoy!
It was my freshman year and my dad was driving me home from Rutgers because our family was coming over for thanksgiving. He was always naturally and randomly spewing advice and motivational speeches. I knew I was recording and he didn't so I was trying to be discrete. I don't know what compelled me to record this but I am very grateful to have it now that he has passed away. (A few months after this recording his first brain tumor popped up).
