In Episode 5, I continue my conversation with Anna about the Master-Teacher experience. She shares with us the story of meeting her husband and their grounding, fiercely loving relationship. We talk a lot about receiving and interpreting psychic messages in reiki sessions, and honoring the relationship we have with reiki. We learn that we both have given reiki at bachelorette parties, and I give my equation for no resentment. We share how we feel about in person vs. remote sessions, and Anna shares about the role of her heritage in her practice. We share some stories from our practice, which is always done anonymously and for the purpose of education.

Anna Vojtas is a fellow reiki master-teacher in the Hudson Valley. Her professional journey began working in addictions treatment and studying psychology, in which she found that the limitations of these fields were keeping her from providing the kind of healing she knew was possible. After studying reiki and traveling her own path of healing and heritage, her practice, called OHEŇ, which is Slovak for fire, provides healing support through her services.

In Episode 4, I talk with fellow healer Anna about burnout and navigating self care and self awareness in the realm of Healership. We differentiate between helping the most possible vs. in the best way possible. We talk about the death portal, the birth portal, and Anna shares the story of her traumatic birth experience. (It's not graphicm but skip it if that's too tender for you.)

Episode 3 of season 2 is a continuation of my conversation with Amy Shearer.

In this episode, Amy shares her perspective on breathwork. I appreciate her balanced, grounded, collaborative and integrative approach. It honors everything I believe is important about healing work, and corrects an early experience I had with breathwork and my response to the extreme enthusiasm I've experienced from people who have life-changing breathwork experiences and think everyone else should, too.
She shines some light on variations that can be made to the 3-part holotropic breath, and gives some examples of clients using less than 10 minutes of gentle breath to successfully move gratitude, peace, bliss, and joy through their bodies. I loved this conversation and I hope you do, too.
