This is an episode we recorded with our dear friend Yarrow back in August of 2023 after we finished the second season of the Netflix reality show The Ultimatum. On November 12th Yarrow took their own life. They will be missed forever. I thought i had lost this episode and finding it buried in my hard drive feels like digging up a lost piece of them, however brief. Words still fail to encapsulate our grief but we are lucky to have recorded multiple episodes with them and blessed to have known such a thoughtful and loving being. Love you forever friend. 💞

This episode we dissect, digest, and belch out the deeper meaning behind Shrek, particularly a version we saw over the weekend involving a live theater performance with an all queer/trans cast that put a distinctly Olympia Punk spin on the familiar story. Turns out Shrek was fill of juicy topics!

In this episode we bring in guest Julia Reeve to discuss The Matrix and what it can tell us about this current moment in the pandemic. Why are we still going through the motions of a "normal" life when our socioeconomic and ecological structures are collapsing all around us? Are we hinging our hopes on our leaders to fix things or are there examples we can find of people working towards collective liberation? How is our personal liberation linked to our collective liberation? As three poly people, we discuss what alternative relationship structures can teach us about bucking societal expectations, finding abundance and leading a more self-directed life. Solving our biggest personal and societal challenges will take creative problem-solving, which entails living outside of binaries and exiting the real-world Matrix. Check it out to get the full scoop!
