Backchannel: Insights on American Culture

Charlemagne Institute

6 Episodes

Backchannel is a continuing opportunity for you to hear from some of our country’s brightest minds and gain their insights and wisdom on cultural and political issues of the day. The podcast is a platform for discussion, as we periodically invite one of our thinkers to present on a timely topic, delving deeper into its intellectual and philosophical implications, and also inviting viewer questions. Here you will also find audio versions of articles and blog posts from Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. The show is presented by Charlemagne Institute, publishers of the IntellectualTakeout.org news and information website, as well as the legendary Chronicles magazine, which has been in continuous publication since 1977. As an organization we seek to defend and advance the best of the time-tested intellectual and spiritual roots of Western civilization – including the ancient Greek, Roman, and Judeo-Christian cultures – using their proven ideas, wisdom, and traditions as a means for overcoming the many challenges we face in our society today. In defense of the Platonic ideals of the good, the true, and the beautiful, Charlemagne Institute is proud to present this thought-provoking content.
