God is in control even when life feels uncertain, messy, or on pause. In Genesis 42, we see that 22 years after Joseph’s dream, God’s timing finally comes full circle, proving that delays aren’t denials. Through seasons of waiting and hardship, God shapes our hearts—teaching us compassion, forgiveness, and faithfulness. He’s always working in His timing, His ways, and for His glory, forming us through every season to trust that He’s doing something good, even when we can’t see it yet.

Joseph’s story reminds us that true success isn’t measured by power or position, but by humility and faithfulness. When elevated, he gave God the credit, served without pride, and trusted God’s hand to bring fruitfulness out of hardship. In the same way, our greatest success is not what we achieve outwardly, but a heart continually shaped by God.

Ever feel like life’s on pause and nothing’s happening? That’s exactly where Joseph was in Genesis 40—stuck in prison, forgotten by people, but not by God. Even in the waiting, God was shaping his character, building his gifts, and stretching his faith to prepare him for what was next. God’s delays aren’t His denials. So don’t waste the wait—lean in and see what He’s doing in your season right now.

You can’t always control your circumstances, but you can choose to be faithful in them. Joseph was betrayed, enslaved, tempted, and falsely imprisoned, yet he honored God at every turn. Whether at work, in the face of hidden temptations, or in seasons of suffering, choosing integrity, obedience, and trust instead of bitterness or compromise reveals what following Jesus truly looks like.Faithfulness isn’t about waiting for better circumstances—it’s about honoring God where we are, confident that He is with us and using our faithfulness to shape a greater story.

True peace isn’t found in calm circumstances but in the person of Jesus. When we center our hearts on Christ, eliminate distractions, and fully trust His character, peace flows to the core of who we are. It’s not circumstantial but rooted in Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who offers an unshakable calm no matter the storm.

Memories can bring joy but also regret, pain, and embarrassment that weigh us down. God helps us move forward by calling us to let go of the past like Paul did, find His purpose in it because nothing is wasted, not let it define us since in Christ we’re a new creation, and fix our eyes on what’s ahead by keeping our focus on Jesus. Through Christ, we are set free from the weight of yesterday so that we can live for Him today.

Worrying, replaying conversations, or comparing ourselves to others—only fuels stress and anxiety. Paul offers a better way in Philippians 4:8–9: focus on what is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. Peace doesn’t come from ignoring problems but from filling our minds with God’s truth and goodness. When we take our thoughts captive and fix them on Him, we experience His peace even in life’s troubles.

We are in a spiritual war fought in the heart and mind, where the enemy builds strongholds of lies that shape our identity and control our lives. Scripture calls us to take every thought captive, replacing lies with God’s truth, guarding what we consume, and filling our minds with His Word. Jesus not only saves us by grace but also has the power to break every stronghold and set us free.

The Christian life isn’t a playground—it’s a battleground. Victory starts in your mind. Take every thought captive, renew your mind with God’s truth, and declare: “My mind is under new management.”Every believer faces a daily battle in the mind—a war between the flesh and the Spirit. Paul describes in Romans 7 the struggle of wanting to do right but feeling trapped by sin, yet finding hope in Jesus. True freedom begins in our thoughts, and Romans 12:2 shows the way: by renewing our minds with God’s truth, we overcome lies and discover life in Christ.

Together Day is a celebration of unity, reminding us that Crosstown isn’t just five separate campuses—it’s one church family with one calling, one mission, and one Spirit. Rooted in Ephesians 4, Pastor Jeremy emphasizes that no matter where we gather, we share the same identity as followers of Jesus—working toward the same goal of leading people to full devotion to Christ and are empowered by the same Holy Spirit. Through stories of life change, we’re reminded that we’re part of something bigger—and that God is powerfully at work in every location.

If your mindset reflects culture more than Christ, it’s time to shift. Ask Him to fill you with His love, commit to real change, and guard what influences you. As you live to honor Him, His peace will guard your heart and mind.

Following Jesus means leaving your old ways behind and living a new life with Him at the center. Paul reminds us to focus our hearts and minds on things above—not just what’s right in front of us—because that shapes who we’re becoming. When you said yes to Jesus, the old you died, and now your identity is found in Him. That means it’s time to let go of things like anger, selfishness, and sin, and start becoming more like Christ. It’s not just about avoiding the wrong stuff—it’s about chasing after the right things. Ask yourself: what needs to go, and what needs to grow?

Growing in faith starts by avoiding false signs of growth—like rigid rules, spiritual comparisons, or relying on religious practices. These can distract from the finished work of Christ. True growth comes from staying connected to Jesus, who gives us new life. Rest in what He’s done—and help others do the same. Christ is enough.

What does it mean to live a life worthy of the Lord? Paul’s prayer in Colossians shows us that it means: bearing fruit, growing in faith, enduring with patience, and living with gratitude. He reminds us that spiritual growth takes effort, strength comes through trials, and our lives should be a response to God’s grace, not a means to earn it.

Our church is already part of this global mission, and we can all play a role—by praying, giving, and going. 5 Pillars to Build Your Life On
Part 2 - “Faith Alone”
Matthew 7:28-29
when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, 29 for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
2 primary pillars recovered in the Reformation:
Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
John Wycliffe - completed the first copy of the Bible into English at the cost of his own life
William Tyndale - completed the first English Bible directly from the Hebrew and Greek texts
“If God spare my life, ere many years I will cause a boy who drives a plough to know more of the scriptures than you do.” - William Tyndale
Justification was a legal term where the judge declared you “not guilty”.
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
The Gospel is…
the power of God
effective to save
salvation for everyone who believes
revealed, or given as a gift
Romans 4:2-5
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
God “justifies the ungodly”
Ephesians 2:8-9
“….it is the gift of God…so that no one may boast.”
Salvation is not a reward for the righteous but a gift for the guilty!
Romans 4:23-25
But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Here I felt that I was altogether born again and had entered paradise itself through open gates…And I extolled by sweetest word with a love as great as the hatred with which I had before hated the word “righteousness of God.” Thus that place in Paul was for me truly the gate to paradise.”
“Law and Gospel” - painting by Lucas Cranach the Elder
Application: Build your life on the right side of the painting!
Meaning…
If you are a believer/follower of Christ…
If you are not a believer/follower of Christ…
5 Pillars to Build Your Life On
Part 1 - “Scripture Alone”
How do we know what is right and wrong?
Does morality simply come down to what we want to do?
Where do we find truth in today’s culture?
How did God prepare the world for Reformation?
Agriculture
Disease
War
Corruption in the Church
Reformation - comes from the latin verb to reform, to revive.
“I hated the righteousness of God…I raged with a fierce and troubled consciousness”
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
“as soon as the coin in the coffer rings the soul from purgatory springs.”
-Johann Tetzel
Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) - Scripture is inerrant, sufficient and our final authority.
2 Timothy 3:14-17
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
“All Scripture is God breathed”
theopneustos - God breathed
The verbal, plenary, inspiration of Scripture - all of Scripture, not some of it, is inspired, breathed out by God.
So what are some applications for our church and our lives?
We should preach God’s Word
We should study God’s Word
We should strive for unity amongst God’s people
We should keep the spirit of the reformation alive today
In the spring of 1521, Luther stood before the diet of worms and was asked two questions:
Are these your writings?
Will you recant these writings?
“Unless I am convicted by Scripture and plain reason (I do not accept the authority of popes and councils because they have contradicted each other), my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God. Amen.”

The Lure of Lust
-The Lure of Lust
Lust looks like and feels like a real relationship where you’re fully known and loved unconditionally and not only will it not satisfy you, you will be hooked and drawn away from the One that will satisfy you the most.
-What is the Lure of Lust?
Matt. 5:27
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Deut. 22:22
“If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die the man who lay with the woman and the woman.”
-epithymeō- “strong desire”

Why is the lure so deadly?
Matt 5:29-30 29
If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.”

7 Great Ways to Ruin Your Life
Part 5 - “The Lazy Lid”
Driven but Distracted:
Busy with things that don’t really matter, while lazy at things that really do matter.
2 Thessalonians 3:6-13 (NIV)
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” 11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Luke 12:35-37
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.
At The Core, pt 12 - Go The Extra Mile
What is the first thing you think when you hear “go the extra mile?”
“We go out of our way in every situation and circumstance to show people the love and mercy of Jesus and everything that we do is because God went out his way to show us His love through Jesus.”
Luke 10:25-28
25 And behold, a lawyer (a scribe that would have been an expert in the Old Testament Laws) stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”
Your relationship with God will reveal what it looks like to live it out from moment to moment.
Luke 10:29-37
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two denarii (two days wages) and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’36 Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” 37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”
Why do I go the extra mile?
What is your motivation for doing/giving your best? Is it so you can get praise or is it the outpouring of your relationship with Jesus?
What gets my extra mile?
Are I giving my best in everything I do or is good enough good enough?
Who gets my extra mile?
Am I going out of my way to show everyone the love of Jesus or just people I deem worthy?
At The Core pt 11 - Never Too Early Never Too Late
-No matter how old or young you are you’ll always have a reason to feel insecure. You’ll feel too young until you’ll feel too old, but you’ll never feel just right.
-“Age doesn’t matter unless you are a cheese”
-Our lives aren’t determined by how many minutes we’ve lived but by our response to the moments that God has shown up in our lives.
-Never Too Early, Never Too Late
-Gen 12:1-3
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country[b] and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
-Abraham was called to make a difference in the world around him.
-He didn’t let his minutes get in the way of his response in the moment.
-Gen 12:7
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.”
-Gen 18:1-2
“And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth.”
-Minutes can be measured by clock but moments are measured by their significance.
-Gen 18:9-15
“They said to him, “where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “She is in the tent.” The Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah. So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?” The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” But Sarah denied it saying “I did not laugh” for she was afraid, He said, “No, but you did laugh?”
God works best in impossible situations.
Gen 21:1
“The Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised.
1 Tim 4:12 (NIV)
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
-Don’t let the number of minutes you’ve lived, whether a lot or a little keep you from saying yes to God in the moment.
-Don’t Waste your Life.
“But whatever you do, find the God-centered, Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated passion of your life, and find your way to say it and live for it and die for it. And you will make a difference that lasts. You will not waste your life.”
— John Piper —
-Don’t Wait to do what God’s calling you to do.
-Don’t Wish you were someone else.
-“Am I the right guy? I don’t know, but I’m the guy being asked, and the last thing I want to do is miss an opportunity or make God mad, so I just keeping saying yes. Maybe God is doing some inexplicable things in your life. Each of us gets to decide every time whether to lean in or step back - to say yes, ignore it, or tell God why He has the wrong person.”
— Bob Goff—
-Do what God is asking you to do.
-“God is never late and rarely early. He is always exactly right on time – His time.”
— Dillon Burroughs

1 Tim. 3:16-17-
*Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.*
Hebrews 4:12 -
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Set a time to read everyday.
Talk to someone about what you are reading.
Find a trusted individual who will hold you accountable to God’s Word.
At The Core pt 7 - We Are Followers Not Fans
How many of you have ever failed to apply yourself to something?
How many of you have ever failed to apply yourself to something, whether it was school, a job, a friendship, or even a marriage?
“Am I a follower of Jesus, or am I a fan?”
James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works—this person will be blessed in what he does.
22 But be doers (Followers) of the word and not hearers (Fans) only, deceiving yourselves.
23 Because if anyone is a hearer (Fan) of the word and not a doer (Follower), he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
Looking into the mirror doesn’t change you it only shows you what you need to change.
Because without transformation it’s just information.
25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer (Fan) but one who does good works (Follower)—this person will be blessed in what he does.
When we are doers of the word we are telling the world that we are valued and loved by Jesus and that we find our worth in loving and serving Him.
We are not saved by our good deeds but it does have a direct impact on the fruit of our lives.
The goal is to be a doer and not to just a hearer
1. Honest Evaluation
2. The 1 Thing Principle
We all need to ask ourselves the question, am I a follower or a fan?
At The Core, pt 6- Generous With God’s Resources
In our pursuit of more, we may miss out on God’s best.
James 5:1
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you.
Matthew 5:40
And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.
James 5:2
Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten.
“It all goes back in the box.” Your box.
James 5:3
Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days.
Matthew 6:19-21
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
The treasures we pursue determine where our heart goes.
James 5:4
Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
Generous with God’s Resources
We want people who go above and beyond to give sacrificially to the work of God in our communities.
James 5:5
You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
Matthew 16:26
For what will it profit a man if he gains the world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
James 5:6
You have condemned and murdred the righteous person. He does not resist you.
Get Good at Being Rich
1 Timothy 6:17-18
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.
“It is better to give than to receive”. - Jesus(from Acts 20:35)
**“My life is the best when I’m not the most important in it.” - Jeff Foxworthy
Application:**
Lose your life.
Matthew 10:39
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
At The Core pt 5 - Church of Small Groups
Church is more than an event we attend it’s a community we belong to.
Why Small Groups?
It’s biblical
Gen 2:18
“The the Lord God said “It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him a helper fit for him”.
vs. 25 “And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed”.
*isolation
“lost in the crowd”*
**we need help
we need to belong**
Acts 2:46
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,
***Temple
Table***
It’s beneficial
Eph 2:19-22
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
a place to belong.
“The aim of storage is to give every item a home – a designated spot for it to rest and recharge when not in use. The way you store your items is an expression of gratitude for all the support they provide. Giving them a cozy spot to kick back and relax is the least you can do!”- Marie Kondo
You have the benefit of being a part of the group but you also have the responsibility to care for others in the group.
grow in our faith
“God uses people to form people.” -John Ortberg
Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
you can’t get formed unless you get close
If you want forgiveness confess your sins to God but if you want healing you need to confess your sins to one another.
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
It’s practical
Think small
It’s missional
John 13:34-35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
“Our relationship with each other is the criterion the world uses to judge whether our message is truthful—Christian community is the final apologetic.”-Francis Schaeffer
**1. Go care for someone in the church.
John 1:12-13
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
If the rest of the lost people in the world were dependent on being found based on how your heart, your attitude, and your action in found people finding people, what kind of hope would the lost have?
In "Found People, Find People," Pastor Tim Taylor, Shinglehouse Campus Pastor, covers our fourth Core Value: Found People, Find People. We believe that lost people matter to God, therefore, they should matter to us. Pastor Tim shares three tangible ways how we can reach the lost.

Jesus > Jonah. God's pursuit of the Ninevites is proof that His grace extends to you wherever you are!
In "Something Greater Than Jonah," Pastor Jeremy Gorham recaps what we've been studying in the book of Jonah and compares and contrasts Jonah's message and Jesus' message. Pastor Jeremy draws it all back to the bigger picture of the seriousness of sin, imminent judgement, and a gracious God.

It's possible to be a recipient of God's grace but never a dispenser. And it's possible to do the mission of God, without ever having the heart of God.
In "Scorching Grace," Pastor Jeremy Gorham goes through the 11 most convicting verses in all of scripture: found in Jonah 4. These verses show us that you can have the right head, but the wrong heart. Which begs the question: "how is it that Jonah knows God's Word but is so far from God's heart?" The answer: Jonah's anger was blinding him.

God is the God of first chances over and over and over again.
In "Recipe For Revival," Pastor Jeremy shows us how Jonah's message in chapter 3 led an entire nation to Jesus. Jonah's message was simple, to the point, and very strange in circumstances — yet, God moved and changed the hearts of 120,000 people. Jonah's story is one of redemption and it reflects our story; we all have a joppa, a storm, a fish, and a picture of God's mercy and God's judgment.

The challenges of your life are not the conclusion of your story.
In "Give God Your Best," Pastor Jeremy Gorham from Crosstown Alliance Church teaches us from John 12:3 to follow Mary's example of pouring out her best for Jesus. Mary knew persecution was coming but she chose to pour out her best when life was at its worst. Are you giving Jesus a hard time or are you giving Him your best? Are you worrying or worshipping? Are you complaining or celebrating? Every day is an opportunity to step into the purpose God has for you by giving Him your best.
How do you pour out your best when life is at its worst?

Only those who follow the pathway of mourning are promised the destination of comfort.

Our God is a God of restoration. Peter's denial and restoration are there to remind us that we all screw up but that does not have to be the end of the story for us either.
In “The End Is Not The End,” Pastor Stu Burton from Crosstown Alliance Church (Arcade, NY Campus Pastor) goes through Peter's denial of Christ, how we look at sin, what true repentance looks like, and what repentance requires of us. We should be prompted to do three things; be bold in our pursuit of God, be humbled by the eyes of Jesus, and be restored by God.

The deepest kind of faith is a faith of no matter what.
In "In The Fire," Pastor Jeremy Gorham from Crosstown Alliance Church reveals the three takeaways from Daniel 3 for reminding us that we don't have to be afraid of the fire. As Christians, we are not immune to the fire of life - it's going to come - but God is faithful to save us. It's often in the fire where miracles happen. We often pray for miracles but then avoid the very places where miracles occur.

Until you realize that what Jesus came to do, he did for you - you will never have enough energy, focus, or time to behold that truth and he will never become the thing that surpasses all else for you.
In "Jesus Front And Center," Pastor Jeremy Gorham from Crosstown Alliance Church warns us that if we don't put Jesus front and center this Christmas, we will be crushed by the weight of the wave of the responsibilities and commitments that hold our attention during this season. The paraphernalia of Christmas has blurred our vision, zapped our energy, and stolen our joy to the point in which Jesus is no longer front and center. What's the solution?
Scripture in this episode: Colossians 1:15-22, Hebrews 1:3
Quotes in this episode: "The created things in which we thought the beauty was located will betray us if we cling to them; it is not in them, it only came through them, and what came through them was longing. These things - the beauty, cherished memories from our childhood - are good images of what we really desire; but if they are mistaken for the thing itself, they turn into dumb idols, breaking the hearts of their worshippers. For they are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a county we have never yet visited." - C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
