Happy International Yoga Day & Solstice! Today I wanted to talk about the trust connection between the brain and the body and why that sometimes gets broken. Then I remembered that it was International Yoga Day and it reminded me of what Yoga means to me and why it's so important we change the narrative from Yoga practise being portrayed as inaccessible exercises to the ultra accessible and inclusive process of reconnection it really is. Head over to www.gravitytechnique.com/links for a free posture masterclass and access to the TGT FB community if you'd like to continue the conversation.

This episode I'm focusing on the lack of education around self-care and taking responsibility for our health and well-being. Here in the UK we rely heavily on the NHS which provides a free healthcare service when we need it. But has the provision of this service over time led us to negate our responsibility for our health? Safe in the knowledge that the hammock of healthcare will be there to catch us when the cost of unhealthy living choices inevitably starts to cause to problems? Food for thought.. Want to work with Caz? www.gravitytechnique.com to find out more about what I do and how I can help.

That IS a question. One I get asked regularly. So what's the answer? In this episode I deep dive into how adaptive your body really is and if it's generally accepted that our brains continue to change until our final days (neuroplasticity), then why do we write off our bodies at mid-life?

The next fascia-informed course for movement teachers and manual therapists is starting in January 2023.  Register your interest at www.gravitytechnique.com/links

Sarah Hunt is a self confessed closet introvert who loves good coffee, dark chocolate and autumn leaves. Born in the tropics near the Atlantic Ocean, Sarah married a Scot and now lives among the mountains and lochs of the Highlands.  This girl-who-hates-cold-water is a wild swimming.

Which leads nicely into the paradox that underpins Sarah's business - Messy, Luminous Being. Teaching us all the vital skill of presence and mindfulness within our busy lives juggling work, kids & home, Sarah's wisdom and relatable insight into the subject is invaluable.

No apologies for all the triggers here as a long term Yoga practitioner AND an advocate for fully accessible and inclusive movement for all, I am so over the stretchy, the skinny, the extreme, the skimpy and the internet stereotype of what Yoga is.

What we need is a shift to a true representation of what a 'yoga body' looks like in our images...oh, that's EVERYONE.
