People tend to shy away from the Bible because they view it as a source of perfection. Instead of viewing it as perfection, it is the blueprint for becoming more God-like that censors us to grow in our faith and sense of self. However, we are not too different from the characters in the Bible. The Bible contains stories where the characters may fall into sin, and because of God's grace and mercies, he always grants us favor. Just like how he did in the story of David and Bathsheba. Have you ever wanted something so much that, by any means necessary, you had to have it? If yes, that is how David felt when he slept with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife. Because David wanted Bathsheba, he committed adultery, and once Bathsheba became pregnant, David got Uriah killed in battle. Even though David sinned, David was still a man of God's own heart. We can learn the lesson that not everything we want is worth having. God is a forgiving God who shows unconditional mercies, even though the consequences of your sin remain.

Are you Fasting or Just not eating? This a question believers struggle with from time to time. How do we differentiate the two? Fasting is personal, afflicting the flesh so you may increase in the spirit. Not eating is dieting; withholding yourself from food to lose weight isn't fast. When doing a spiritual fast, your mind is set on God, remaining in his presence and drawing closer to him. It becomes less about the food and more about the relationship. Jesus is a perfect example of why we should fast because he did. An ideal man afflicted his flesh just so the presence of his father can dwell with him and in him

The flesh and the Spirit are complete opposites. Our most fundamental choice as believers is choosing each day, each moment, which to obey.
The flesh and the Spirit are not only opposed to one another; the Apostle Paul’s description of this conflict in Galatians 5 makes it clear that they are mortal enemies. The desire of the flesh is set against the desire of the Spirit. And these are in direct opposition to one another.

The church is like a hospital. It’s a place to be messy, to be mending. Ideally, hospitalization takes us at our most vulnerable, cocoons us with care, and equips us to walk outside the doors and into society as a whole and healthy person. But obviously, it’ll involve pain—nobody expects hospitalization to feel like an island spa cation. Whether you’re getting a shot, physical therapy, or birthing a baby, the hospital hurts. Hospitals and churches aren’t equivalent, but both are full of vulnerable, healing people and are committed to a standard of care. As Christians, we are called to follow the Great Physician. We belong to His Body, and if one part hurts, we all hurt (Rom. 12:15; 1 Cor. 12:26).

As followers of Christ, we’ve all been there. We may vigilantly seek God, but in return only sense His silence. And this silence can be frustrating, disheartening, and even agonizing. There are times when we will seek God for answers, cry out for His help and relief and still hear nothing. Hearing God is essential to building an intimate relationship with Him and learning to clearly distinguish God’s voice is invaluable but as easy as it is for us to speak to Him, most followers of Christ have a hard time hearing His voice. This is not the way God intended it to be. The truth is if we don’t hear His voice, we will get totally lost and be more vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. God speaks the way he wrote. If he speaks to us it will align with the word. This should encourage us to get into the word Of God

Who forms your inner circle? Is it your best friend at work, people in your neighborhood, somebody you grew up with, those you play basketball with,  someone at your Pilates class, or somebody you met at church? These are the people who are very close to you, who understand you, people who you trust to always be there for you when you need them. Jesus taught in front of thousands of people throughout his lifetime. Wherever he went, huge crowds followed him. But not everyone that Jesus taught continued to follow him. Not everyone who followed him became his disciple. And even within his disciples, Jesus had an inner circle—the ones he invested in the most.
Think about it, is your inner circle consists of people that you invest in and invest in you?

Very often, we struggle with expressing our anger to God mainly because we fear the feeling of being judged by others. What if God wants us to tell him how we genuinely feel? You are allowed to share your true feelings with him. He wants your authenticity, be honest with what you are feeling. Remember, he knows everything before you even say it.

Welcome back to another episode on the B.L.A.S.T Podcast. In this episode, we spoke about "Forgiveness." Let's be honest; forgiveness does not come easy. When someone hurts us, we first separate ourselves from the offender and dwell on the pain that they caused us. Forgiveness doesn't mean we don't hold the offender accountable, but forgiveness is letting go of the hurt so that it doesn't become the thing that defines you. Let's start trying to emulate that "Christ's Forgiveness" by being humble and selfless

Welcome back to another episode on the B.L.A.S.T Podcast. In this episode, we spoke about When God says No. So often, we struggle with the acceptance of hearing No from God. We tend to think that when God says No isn't the correct answer, but what if it isn't? As younger people, we want the right now, and often, God No is just a " not yet." However, we need to believe that there is a greater reward after God's No.

Welcome back to another episode on the B.L.A.S.T Podcast. In part 2 of the Relationship Series (Dating, Marriage & Sex), we learn about the importance of knowing yourself as an individual before meeting the person. As young adults, we often get into relationships at a young age while struggling to find our true identity. As a result, we tend to lose ourselves in relationships, and when it is over, we seem lost in who we are. In the episode, Evangelist Hendricks teaches us the importance of being grounded in who we are as an individual before being with the person. In addition, he spoke about the 6 Vital signs that we should live by to live a happy success-filled life.
