The dictionary defines the term Remnant as…. • Something that is left over from a larger original piece or amount • Something that remains • A Remnant is usually a small part or small surviving group
From a Biblical perspective God’s remnant is His people… It’s those who are faithful to Him no matter how much opposition they face or hardship they endure
Do these 3 defining characteristics of a Remnant define you? 1. Do you have an Unchangeable Commitment to Cling to the Lord? 2. Do you have an Unwavering Desire to Make Disciples? 3. And do you have a Reliance on Hope?

4 Ways to Feed Your Faith:

START WITH THE WORD OF GOD • Bible = Spiritual Protein • Nothing will satisfy the hunger of your soul more than the Word of God • Our spirit lives by every Word that comes from God (Matthew 4:4) • We must feast/ruminate on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8)

SELECT SUPPLEMENTS WISELY • Anything outside of the Word of God that is intended to grow your faith is a spiritual supplement • Just because something is labeled spiritual does not make it healthy • A lot of misinformation and deception in the world today (1 Timothy 4:1) • If it contradicts the Word of God, it’s FALSE

SHARE YOUR FAITH • never overlook or underestimate how important and how powerful this is (Philemon 1:4-7) • When you see people respond to you or others sharing their faith it feeds your faith • The sharing of faith spreads and feeds all who hear (Romans 1:8) • Don’t be a secret agent Christian….

- What is your relationship with OTHERS? • Cannot be a follower of Jesus without loving others (John 13:35) • Would you give your life for someone else? (1 John 3:14-19) • Your life is your witness

• Proverbs 3:6 – in ALL your ways… (acknowledge vs. know) Him
• Hebrew word for know = yada = to know through personal experience
• God is not interested in you knowing about Him, He wants you to know Him – personally, intimately and completely
• Knowing Him means to follow Him (Luke 9:23-34)
• Everything is worthless compared to knowing Jesus (Phil 3:7-9)
• “My goal [in life] is to know Him” (Phil 3:10) Is this your goal?
• Greek word for know = Ginosko = deep, personal, and intimate relationship
• Who is Jesus? He’s God (John 8:53-59)
• We should know how much He loves us (Ephesians 3:18) because of His sacrifice for our sins
• How strong is His love? (Romans 8:38-39)
• How do we love Him? Obey Him (John 14:15, 21, 24, 1 John 2:3-6)
When you truly know Jesus, you recognize that it’s not about rules to follow, it’s about a relationship to pursue
Obedience is not about perfection, It’s about direction
• Eternal Life = to Know Him (John 17:3) • Know Him = Love Him = Obey Him • David was one of the greatest examples of this…He was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22) • In ALL His Ways, David knew the Lord - Psalm 63:1,3-8 - Psalm 18:1-2 - Psalm 42:1-2 - Psalm 40:8 - Psalm 27:4 - Psalm 119:47-48
• Let us strive to know the Lord (Hosea 6:3) • In ALL your ways KNOW Him!
• If you’re a Christian, you will face persecution (2 Timothy 3:12, Acts 14:22, John 15:18,20)
• We are called to endure not to escape
• As the end approaches, things will be rough (2 Timothy 3:1-5, 4:3-4)
• Without the Word of God, we are incomplete and woefully unprepared (2 Timothy 3:16)
