In Episode 22: You Could Lose A Client's Payment By Not Knowing This, we discuss how not having strong terms and conditions could see you lose the money paid to you (Even If You Have Done The Work).
There are a lot of coaches out there that are being taught to issue invoices but they are not being taught the importance of making sure that on that invoice is a link to the terms and conditions that the person is agreeing to when they pay.
Many don't even have strong terms and conditions pages and are just 'hoping' they don't meet the bad humans that will do the wrong thing. Unfortunately, these people are getting screwed. People are going to their banks and credit card providers and winning at getting their money back just because the person doesn't have strong refund terms and conditions that the person agreed to.
Chargebacks occur when someone goes to their credit card company and says they didn't get what you paid for. Overnight your merchant facility i.e. PayPal or Stripe takes the money out of your account and gives it to them.
You must then prove they received what they paid for and that your terms and conditions are clear around it if you want a chance to get that money back. The worst part is there is no restriction on when they can do a chargeback which means that you could get one for work you have done a year from now.
Worse still there are unscrupulous people out there that are actively buying courses and programs (especially those under $2,000) and copying the entire lot and either selling it as their own or just straight selling it in a package with other courses they have done the same too.
It is actually a strategy being taught by some experts as "research and development" aka "rob and duplicate (R & D)".

Are You Money Smart Or Are You Sweeping It Under The Rug, Leaving It To Someone Else (like a husband) Or Just Sticking Your Head In The Sand As It Is Too Complicated?
In Episode 20 we are discussing an unpopular topic among many women - money. This episode is not only about the importance of being more financially literate (even if you think you don't have much money now) but also about independence.
For us, women talking about money is often a VERY awkward subject. We have been taught often that it is greedy to want it, to discuss how much we make, to ask for more of it. It is a very male-dominated area and we often feel 'stupid' trying to understand so we defer it to a man or even an advisor and put our head in the sand.
Sadly for some this strategy doesn't work out. Sometimes the person who looked after the money i.e. a husband passes away like in Anna Felix's case, a relationship breaks down, a war hits that drives the prices so high that it is a daily struggle for a household to float on one income anymore.
Our lives are often being controlled by limiting beliefs around money that were passed down from our parents who got it from their parents. As such many of us are living with belief's from the Great Depression or early 1900's.

In this episode, we explore the true cost that trying to do everything yourself or with cheap courses is costing you in terms of time and money.
I recently had to be smacked with a hard lesson in this area yet again when I didn't want to 'bother' the expert (code for pay) with an accounting problem that I had. I struggled with it for a month and ended up wanting to kick Amazon's butt and having to ask for help. Two fields. Five minutes and she had sorted and Amazon is now ready to send me my commissions.
How many times do we do this in our life and in our business, we think we can sort it on our own. We think that we've got it on our own. We try and figure it out on our own and all that happens is we waste time and in some cases, if we bought all the cheap courses, we have wasted money as well. Let's be honest, if it's a cheap course, it's usually not giving us the fastest information that we need to get it sorted.
If you get your website built fast. You get your book written fast. If you get everything done faster, even if it's not 100% perfect, what would it mean to your bank account. If you started selling your high ticket program tomorrow instead of in a month or ten when it is 'perfect'? If you want to earn $10k a month then every month you are not launched, it is costing you $10k.

In this episode, we are going to discuss how to grow your list with qualified buyers and what giving something for free could be costing you.
In today's world, everyone is giving away a free something in order to collect our email address and contact details. Sadly many people might opt in but never actually view or take action on what they opt-in for so they can never get the result it promised = no trust built.
This means that the freemium and lead magnet has somewhat become white noise. You are either filling your list with freebie hunters who are just chasing free as they don't want to invest in anything or with people who mean to read/watch the product they opted in for but as it is free they never seem to get to it.
Instead, we will look at how building a list of qualified buyers even if only those that have bought a low ticket thing can give you a smaller list but full of clients that are more likely to pull out their credit card for other things. By turning your lead magnet into a low ticket offer you are also helping to liquidate ad costs (self-liquidating offer) and giving yourself the opportunity to grow your revenue with a variety of incomes streams.
It is easier to convert action taking person who has already bought into buying something else especially if they got huge value from the other things they bought. The trick is to make the low ticket offer so valuable in giving the result that it promises that they are excited to move to your next thing. They become your raving fan.

This show episode was recorded as I sat next to my mum's bedside as she was passing away. Less than 48 hours before this episode was recorded I went live with her and she talked about having dementia and the fact that she never saw illness and old age coming. This Facebook live would be the last time we would talk to her before she passed.

In it she said that we needed to live our lives, take risks and do what we love. This show episode I have created differently as I want to give you the ability to know how to design a life YOU love.
