Today, I read Ephesians 6 with you as we finish laying our foundation for this study. I'm excited to dive in with you!
I'm weary. And I have found fear to be an easy friend right now in the midst of these uncertain days.
I need a reminder of what God has in store for us. I need help remembering the truth.
So today, we rest in His promises and cling to the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
1 Samuel 15 struck me right in the heart this week.
It reminded me of where my priorities have shifted and pointed out where I fell off the track.

Someone you can run to in times of trouble.
Somewhere you collapse when you’re tired.
Somebody who sees you, knows you & hears you.

In our passage today, Jesus encounters a Samaritan woman. But there’s a long, long list of reasons why she wasn’t the “right type” of person for Jesus - or any Jew - to talk to. Let’s flush out the many ways and encounter God's fierce love for us.

Just those two words change the tide – change the narrative – change the trajectory of our lives.

I’ve found that it’s a daily decision - a daily walk - to change my perspective & reorient my mind and heart to Christ. Our hearts are not naturally attuned to the things of God. Oftentimes, they’ve become distracted by our self-focus or on things that look shiny and much more fun.
