After a short hiatus, D&C is back with the brainchild of our podcast, your not-so-favourite African misconceptions! In episode 4, we really go in and share our unfiltered experiences on incorrect views and faulty opinions that we have come across from real people outside the African Continent. Join us in our third episode as we discuss the phenomenon known as Code-Switching and why it comes naturally for many of us. We look at some of the reasons why we Code-Switch, whether it's a good or bad thing and why it's expected more from some communities as opposed to others.
In Episode 2 we talk all about colorism. This includes a discussion on some of the origins of colorism as well as our own personal experiences with it. Join us as we tackle why colorism is so rampant in black and brown communities, why the bleaching industry needs to be abolished and what you can do to address colorism in your own community.
