In today’s show my guest is my daughter Pandora. She was 14 at the time we informed her about the move and today she will share what her experience with relocation was. Being a teenager is hard to understand why we took this decision and also being a parent you always try to do the best for your kids. So there is always a doubt if the time's right when moving with your kids. How this will affect their life, how they will integrate, which school they will attend are the questions we ask ourselves. But today let’s hear it directly from the teenager. How did this move affect her?
She shared how was it going to new school, finding new friends, missing home country, struggles when being away from her best friend and also grandparents.

My guest today is Neera Lamba, she moved to The Netherlands 17 years ago, had her business and now last 3 years works for volunteering organization ACCESS. She explained how it was for her coming to The Netherlands at the time, where there were not so many Expats here. Additional she shares where Expats can get free advice and talks about all services that are provided free of charge. She found her purpose with volunteering at ACCESS that relies on its English-speaking international and Dutch volunteers who enjoy helping others adjust to life in the Netherlands.

Today's show is about Cost of living in The Netherlands. The Netherlands is part of Western Europe. Based on the cost of living index, including rent, the Netherlands holds third place in 2021. Within Western Europe, in the whole Europe, it holds eight place from 41 countries. So living here is not cheap. I will cover what kind of salaries you can expect here, how high are rent prices in different cities across the Netherlands, price per square meter if you want to buy a house/apartment, prices in restaurants, groceries, transportation, international schools and international kindergartens.
