"Choose Life" is the subject that wil be the focus of this interview. The music is dynamic but the words are the mesaage of hope and a path to whole ness. The last year has been the most trying for all who have dealt with the Pandemic and many loved ones who were lost including my beloved wife of 44 years. So many have been touched by the events in this nation. It is easy to be hopeless and not motivated to go on after so much death and division and constant conflicts. This great nation has based itself on the belief thay God is with our Nation. Our currency boldly states IN GOD WE TRUST. I will be leading the charge today in prayer. one of the things I am is a minister and Pastor of Lyfeministries.com a teaching and music effort. It is time to regroup and rebuild and most of all it is time to be in Unity and Love. America has always led the way in a crisis. The world needs us to get our act together. The focus is the great loss when Chadwick Boseman of 'the Black Panther'" lost his battle to cancer a short time ago. Many tunes has been written in honorof fallen heros. Not many have achieved so much in such a short time. The show has been steady for 9 years and counting. This year of 2020 is already taking off. There is so much I want to share with my Family of Artists and Musicians. A few short months from now and I will have a release of some of my original compositions. I have been gifted by the Lord with the arts. Growing up in Church is where a lot of my music influences come from. We never used any hymn books and when a song broke out it was up to the one on the Organ or piano to pick up the tune in any key. That forced us to learn how to play in all the keys. Many great artists made a lasting impression on me. The next few weeks I will share some of the music I created in their honor. Then it will be back to the interviews. Many of your favorite artist are coming back with some great new music. I have some new segments like my first ever Country Special. Living Legends, and the Women in Jazz and the Gospel shows are lined up. Stop by and say a word or two. I created this show so we can have a few minutes away from all the hate and crazy headlines. We are having a “Reflections” show today to get a look back at the year 2019 and the new things coming in 2020. Last year we had the great Dionne Warwick on the show we introduced a couple of new artists.
I created some new music too. It is my intentions to have me first ever Country Special. We did not get to do our Gospel Special or our Women is Jazz. This year we will bring back the Newsletter and share the events with our regular artist like Ryan Kilgore, Dee Brown, with new music from Tony Exum Jr. Henning Stumm and Saskia Laroo and her latest release on Vinyl. There are new things happening with MFB and we want all our Insight family to step up be more active in sharing the message of peace and stewardship. I will share music and play some of the past themes for the show.
This year is an important one we must turn up the volume on love and drown out the hate that has been on the rise. Artist and Musicians has always bought attention to the human condition. That is what all our music is about. Like John Lennon said” Give Peace a chance” and Image. Let the year be the one we all promote love and unity. 2020 The Return to Unity.

Ryan Kilgore on The DrCal Hour of Insight
Ryan has a plethora of accomplishments. Ryan played on the Fighting Temptations soundtrack with vocalist Faith Evans, on the song titled “Heaven Knows”, as well as performed on the Walt Disney movie Country Bears. In 2003, Ryan joined the hugely popular band Sol Factor. He then went on to work with legendary producers/writers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis as well as the phenomenal Stevie Wonder. Ryan is also no stranger to the film industry. He has made cameo appearances in the 20th Century Fox’s Drumline, Paramount Pictures Fighting Temptations, and Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Ryan has been Stevie Wonder’s touring saxophonist for the last 8+ years and has shared the stage with the likes of Peter White, Cherrelle, Bobby Brown, John Legend, Boney James, Robin Thicke, Lalah .Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and for several years in a row was selected to playing the house band for the Soul Train Music Awards. VAHAGN STEPANYAN (born July 10, 1985) is a gifted Armenian-born keyboard player, songwriter, composer, arranger and producer. His musical journey started at the early age of eight when he was enrolled into a music school for classical piano lessons. Vahagn's quest carried him from Yerevan Tchaikovsky High School, a special school for music, on to Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory where he earned a bachelor's degree in classical music. Immediately following his graduation from conservatory, Vahagn began composing, arranging and recording soundtracks for films. Vahagn's musical passions and endeavors gave him the experience he needed to compose music and write songs for famous artists at an early age.
There are talents that are behind the scenes of many famous artist Vahagn is one of those rare secret weapons in the industry he is also a Grammy recognized voter. Nathan East, Jennifer Lopez and many artists are a few who experienced the gifts of this man.

Pat Martino, has been in the company of many great artist in the jazz arena. Les Paul, George Benson, Wes Montgomery. The whole life he lived up to 1979 was completely erased after a life changing surgery.
Pat Martino, has been given a new way of thinking and seeing things that is completely different from his former self. The Guitar before 1979 was as attachment and obsession that demanded a path that was consistent with the development of the level of achievement at that time.
Mr.Martino, has been given a life that is similar to being reborn and a new birth of discovery that opened the universe that showed him how to reprocess the information that the senses absorbed.
A music professor and teacher with heart of a student in constant discovery and the endless possibilities that frees the entire being to keep the avenues open. Pat Martino, has learned not to go back and repeat his past successes but has learned to live his life with the new way of thinking and allowing the freedom that inspires creativity without the limitations of traditional opinions that limits new ground.

Matt Cusson on Living Legends
Matt attended Berklee College of Music, where he performed in the exclusive "Singer Showcase", which highlights the school's top eight singers. He cites many musical influences, such as James Taylor, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Rufus Wainwright, Djavan, Miles Davis, and John Mayer, just to name a few. Even more impressive is the list of artists he has performed with, including Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, the Roots, Babyface, Christina Aguilera, India Arie, Boyz II Men, Paulina Rubio, BeBe Winans, Joe, Jon B, Livingston Taylor, and many others. More recently, Matt has been working and touring with his mentor and friend, Brian McKnight, star of Broadway and TV, Megan Hilty, 5 time Grammy award winner, Cee Lo Green, and Javier Colon, winner of the first season of “The Voice”. Matt has also played, sung, written, produced and arranged for countless artists and continues to find a large portion of his work in the recording studio.
