Season 4: Episode 10- Last episode! Today Le Scott is sharing her testimony and how prayer has remained a central theme throughout her life through coming back to the Lord after walking away for a season, through good times of great joy, and through great loss and heartbreak. Sometimes God takes us to a place of desperate need so that we know without a shadow of doubt that He is the only one who can help us! When we see ourselves as truly weak as we are, that’s when He demonstrates His great strength! So run to Him always! Thank you so much for all your support, encouragement, and prayer to Kaitlyn and I with this podcast! The Lord has truly taught me so much through each testimony, and has been so faithful and kind through these past couple years. All glory to Him! May He increase and I decrease! In today’s episode my grandmother, Judy Guess, joins me on the podcast to share her testimony. Like so many, Bryan was battling two competing natures- concealing his sin while also having a desire for God and His word. But God does not just want part of you and part of your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Are you willing to submit all your sin to Jesus- whose perfect testimony is presented before the Father on our behalf? Cultural Christianity says that “you can live in sin and have God too.” But this is simply not what the Bible teaches. This is preaching a false gospel. The true gospel is that Jesus came to redeem us from our sin! Any yet there are so many people who call themselves Christians but are living for the world and looking like the world. In today’s episode Kaitlyn Thomas warns us of the danger of Cultural Christianity. Using elements from her personal testimony, Kaitlyn explains how Cultural Christianity led her down an anxious, miserable path full of ungodly distractions, and then compares it to the joys and peace of living a life of a close relationship with the Lord, active repentance, accountability, church membership, and ultimately an eternal hope found in her Savior, Jesus Christ! The last testimony for Season 3!!! Today, Andrew Thomas shares his testimony with us! Andrew struggled for a long time with needing to clean himself up to be good enough for God, but like he said, that is what the Gospel is all about! That is why Jesus came. It was such a joy to have this conversation with Jo Franks. Jo has a story like so many- raised in the church saying the salvation prayer every other day, baptized three times, and yet it felt like nothing ever changed which left her confused and tired of cleaning herself up to be good enough for God. This led her to times of rebellion and wrestling, until the Holy Spirit in His unchanging long-suffering revealed to Jo that it was not her job to invite Jesus into her heart but instead for God to take her heart of stone and give her a new heart of flesh. She did not have to come with her goodness because she did not have any, but instead with the righteousness of Christ which is hers by faith! And her story does not end there! God has continued to show His sovereign faithfulness over her life in so many ways, and I cannot wait for you to listen and hear all about it! Thank you, Jo, for bragging on Jesus today!
Today Titus Cannon shares his powerful testimony with us. Titus was proud in his own physical strength and identity as a police officer until the Lord stripped that away from him. He not only was in great physical pain but was left in anguish. Did God not love him? Why did He take everything away? What if God the GOOD Father who loves him knows what Titus needed even when it did not feel good at the time? The Lord IS faithful, and His love IS steadfast, and He IS bigger than any of your hard times! You have a HOPE as an anchor as you keep your mind focused on JESUS. For someone going through what Josh Burnette went through: many hard storms of life that he had no control over, to living with pride in his own strength, to being angry, and struggling with sin, Josh felt despair with his life. BUT GOD! Our Heavenly Father showed Josh how much He loves him and revealed His abundant mercy and amazing grace so that now, for any that may be in a similar place as Josh was, his encouragement to you is: “Don’t go to despair…You think you’ve gone too far this time, but your haven’t. You cling to the gospel. Even though your sin seems so big to you, it’s not too big for Him. It’s not… Always look into Christ.”
Miss Laura was raised in church and was baptized at a young age, but for years was hiding behind the facade of being a “good Christian” but not having a genuine walk with Christ. It was not until facing some extremely hard trials in her life, that she was faced with the questions, “Is Christ sufficient? Is Christ enough?” that she was able to find her contentment and satisfaction in Christ and His word. Now she can confidently say with Psalm 23, “My cup overflows!”
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” -Romans 8:18
From some very hard moments in her marriage to losing her husband at a young age, Jessica Jordan knows what it means to suffer. And yet, the theme of her life is that she can live with real JOY even in the middle of suffering because of the Lord’s goodness in pursuing her and working in her for His glory and her good. Not one tear is wasted. Trust God one day at a time. God is so good! Please listen to this episode- the world cannot explain her life & response. All boasting belongs to Jesus! Praise the Lord!
God greatly loves us. God is faithful. God is personal to me.
Gannon had continued to justify his problem with alcohol until it led him to a place of complete loneliness and utter despair. JESES in his rich GRACE revealed to Gannon how He greatly loves him and personally died on the cross for all of his sins and has been showing his faithfulness to him even though, like all of us, he does not deserve it. May our boast be only in Jesus! My prayer is that you are encouraged by the wonderful work of Jesus in Gannon’s life and motivated to pray for help in fighting sin in your own life.
The first episode of SEASON 3 is out! So thankful for Rebecca and her example in trusting and obeying the Lord no matter what. Through some of the most difficult seasons, the Lord taught her that He is not punishing her or trying to see how “good of a girl” that she can be, but He is teaching her to look only to Him, to partake of His sufferings, and to be more like Him because of His great love for her. From his struggles as a teenager, to worship through music changing his life, to his life plans getting turned upside down by more than one diagnosis, John’s words to me were, “Your capacity for joy in Christ is marked by how well you suffer.” Incredible. May Jesus Christ have all the glory as we fix our eyes on Him! I can’t think of a better way to close out Season 2’s testimonies than with John Monroe’s story.

Emilee thought that her life was defined by her victimhood as a product of the horrible things done to her and as a result of the painful things that she chose herself, but praise the Lord that being a victim does not define her; she does not even define herself, but Jesus does! After trying to fix the broken pieces of her life on her own, she finally surrendered ALL to Jesus, and while it has not been perfect or easy, He has totally transformed Emilee making her new, whole, beautiful, forgiven, and free! Today, we are so thankful and blessed to hear Tommy Evans’ powerful testimony. Tommy did not grow up in a Christian home or have a present father figure in his life although he longed for both. He thought he would never have either until our Lord not only showed his love to Tommy by saving him from all his sins but also filled the role of the best Father that Tommy could have ever imagined- The Lord filled that role with Himself. All of his experiences have had purpose, praise the Lord, and now Tommy is motivated more than ever to be the best husband, father, and mentor that he can be, to love God with everything in him, and to inspire the next generation by teaching them about our Great Heavenly Father through His word. His testimony is simple, yet so powerful, and we are praying earnestly that this points you to Christ and moves you to praise and glorify our God!
Today, Robert Cale shares his story with us. After unthinkable childhood abuse, multiple broken homes, and heartbreaking pain and suffering, Robert turned to sin, the military, and drinking to somehow numb all the pain and chaos that riddled his life. Eventually He lost the will to live and thought that there was no hope, but God in His rich mercy working through Godly people at a rehab facility revealed the GOOD NEWS of the gospel to Robert- that the God of the universe sent His Son to die for Robert while he was still a sinner freeing Him forever because of His great love for His people. Although it has not always been easy, every aspect of Robert’s life was transformed, restoring even the most broken relationships and giving Robert an everlasting peace, hope, and joy. Robert’s testimony is an incredible unfolding of the gospel, and we are praying that the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to Christ’s love for you as you listen!
Today Kaitlyn Thomas is sharing her testimony with us! In this episode, Kaitlyn addresses body image, Christ’s sufficiency, being intentional, the importance of prayer, the blessing of community, and God getting ALL the glory. Being willing to be vulnerable and share is NOT easy, but this willingness comes from her passionate and urgent mission to share the gospel. Today, Rebekah Jewett shares her testimony about the faithfulness and love of God in her life. In her testimony, Rebekah learned to fully submit and humble herself before God, that true wisdom and knowledge is the fear of the Lord, she learned the importance of not giving sin and Satan any room in her life no matter what, and learned about the grace and forgiveness from God Himself and her brothers and sisters in Christ who welcomed her with open arms. The Lord has been so faithful and good to Rebekah and has made all things beautiful in His time- we have so much to praise Him about! We hope and pray that this testimony touches your heart today!
Today we finally have the legend himself, Zack Guess on the podcast! Although he has so many important parts of his testimony, today he is focusing on the Lord’s faithfulness to him through his three month long sickness caused by a parasite that he got during a mission trip to Nicaragua earlier this year. Instead of questioning God, he used this extremely hard time to trust the Lord’s plan for him and learned to value each lesson that God gave out of love and purpose. He also talks about the importance of hiding God’s word in your heart through memorization! So excited for you to hear from one of the wisest, funniest and friendliest- a man truly after God’s own heart!
We are so happy to have Sara Barham as our first guest of Season 2! Sara tells her story of how she based all of her identity in her success as an athlete. She played D1 basketball at the University of Louisville and made it to the National Championship her sophomore year. Everything was going great and was under her control, until her basketball identity was stripped from her, and because that is where she had placed her worth, she felt she had nothing left. BUT GOD! Sara embraced her relationship with Jesus Christ instead of her success driven, religious mindset. As Sara has learned to trust in Christ, God has directed her steps and provided for all her needs even when life didn’t always feel comfortable. We are praying that Sara’s testimony ministers to YOU today!
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8 As a young child, Reuben felt confused, hurt, lonely, and angry which led him to trying to find his identity. Instead of turning to Christ, he turned to sports, the wrong crowd, drugs, and living in a lie with his family. But Praise God that the Lord had His hand on Reuben from the beginning- protecting Him and leading Him even when Reuben did not love or care about Him at all. Reuben was humbled, shown undeserved love, forgiveness, and mercy and now loves His God with all His heart, is one of the hardest workers I know, and is an amazing and Godly husband and father. I am so very thankful for Reuben’s testimony and how God can take the broken and restore better than we could ever hope for or imagine. I hope and pray that this is an encouragement to you and helps even just one person turn to Jesus Christ whether for the first time or for the hundredth time. Thank you Reuben!
I’m SO happy to have my brother share his testimony today! From a very early age, Luke felt that he loved the Lord; however, there was always something holding him back from publicly professing Christ as his Savior. Despite the years of wrestling, the Lord was continuing to work in Luke’s life leading and guiding him and providing exactly what he needed all along the way! Luke is free in Christ not because of what he did and didn’t do, how much he brought to the table, or having everything go perfectly to his plans, but because of the simplicity of the good news of the Gospel! Our prayer is that this testimony is glorifying to God, is an encouragement, and helps even just one person!
Danny Cosby was at his lowest. Although raised in a Christian, church-going home, Danny turned his back on God at an early age and started abusing sex, hard drugs, was in and out of multiple homeless shelters, and later faced four years in prison for theft. BUT GOD! Like the Parable of the Prodigal Son, God the Father ran to Danny at his lowest and embraced him in His loving arms, changing his life forever EVEN making prison seem like a palace because Jesus Christ and the Word of Life was with him there! Please be blessed and encouraged by listening to Danny’s incredible testimony and hearing about His God glorifying ministry!
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” {Romans 8:28} Laura was 17, and all of her plans & goals looked like they were finally coming together until a car wreck left her in a coma with brain damage and multiple injuries. God took what looked like a death sentence and not only saved her life but blessed her to live with fearless purpose and determination for Jesus like never before! I cannot wait for you to be blessed and inspired by Laura! May God have all the Glory!
Through The Herrington’s story, God shows His life changing power, sovereignty in the details and timing, and redemption -making the broken beautiful by his abounding grace. Through Pat I learned that God has the power to transform lives taking him from abusing alcohol and drugs to making him a new creation in Christ- preaching His word & 22 years of sobriety! Through Shemika, I learned to be FAITHFUL to God and His ways no matter how difficult the circumstance, to pray and pray and PRAY, and to love in service even when it is not deserved or felt. Their life mission: you can’t change the world, but you can leave it better than when you found it by faithfulness to God wherever you are in life! I am amazed at God’s power, timing, provision, and redemption in Megan’s story. God was faithful to perform the work that He started in her by rescuing her from her lowest valley so that she can say, “You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” -Psalm 30:11-12 I cannot wait for you to be blown away by God’s goodness like I was! Please Listen!
Today, Kylie shares her struggle with body image and eating disorders, and more importantly the redeeming and miraculous work that God has done through her with this struggle! The temptation has not magically disappeared, but God has provided new mercies and grace for her every single day that she has learned to embrace and trust! Drew Barham was living the dream- he played basketball at the University of Memphis, Gonzaga, and later professionally. However, he felt empty inside because basketball was where he found his worth and identity. At just the right moment, God reminded him that Christ is the treasure that defines us which led him to the confidence to do what God had called and equipped him to. I am inspired and encouraged by Drew’s testimony, and I hope this is a blessing to you!
