Our last spot in Ecuador was Cuenca. Cuenca is beautiful and a hot spot for lots of American retirees. We visited an adventure park while we were there and I did something scary but experienced a surprising gift!

Has anyone been to the Amazon rainforest? It's amazing and soooo uncomfortable. While I wouldn't recommend the Amazon adventure to everyone I would recommend embracing uncomfortable situations and experiences because they make you grow FAST.
In this episode, I share how getting uncomfortable in the Amazon helped me grow and do things I never thought possible. Enjoy!
In this episode, I share how and why my family has decided to move to Idaho. I share how this came about, the role God is playing, and why we are choosing to move forward in faith.
I hope you are inspired to hear the word of God in your life and have the courage to act on the plans He has for you.
When I was canyoning in Ecuador I found myself in a situation I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE! I made up an unusual mantra that got me through something really scary and uncomfortable. I think the lesson I learn might help you with the things you don't like doing in your life.
I love the story of the brother of Jared. This time when reading this passage of scripture I was struck by something I am super passionate about - Identifying feelings and processing them.
You are going to LOOOOVE this insight I had as I read it this time because when you realize what processing feelings led to it's going to motivate you to do it yourself.
We were on the river and everyone was not their best self and it was ugly. In today's episode, I share a time on the river when my whole family was big-time frustrated and how a car in the river taught us some powerful lessons in humility.
I used to think when Christ said to the three Nephites who wanted to stay on earth "more blessed are ye" that he really was saying, "I love you more, you're my favorite." I had a new thought about this time I read it and it's super encouraging.
People will do things you don't understand or comprehend and you experience emotional pain because of their actions. You can't control them but you can choose to actually feel and honor your pain and then move beyond it.
I would love to hear if you feel inspired to actually embrace pain the next time it comes your way. Remember in your pain are lessons to learn and growth to be made.
God asks you to prove Him by paying tithing and He will shower you with blessings. If you need blessings pay your tithing and watch how God will bless you.
Do you have a flying fiasco story? I feel like most people have at least one flying story where a lot of things go wrong. Our story takes place only a few days ago. Even though a lot when wrong I discovered quite a lot that went well as I pondered upon the experience.
Today, I share a painful lesson that I remind my kids of regularly whenever doors are slammed. Go listen and hear the gross, overly dramatic story which continues to remind me that I need to share that which I have learned and to listen to the life lessons of those around me.
I loooove 3rd Nephi! It is such a blessing to have teaching of Jesus as another testament of Jesus Christ. I share in this episode a couple verses from chapter 13. My challenge to you is to ponder what your eye is single to? And how you can make small changes to bring more of Christ's light into your life.
Another bug story! Why do they love me soooo much?! This one was huge, no exaggeration! Listen and laugh and consider what things in your life are you giving your power to.
Friends! Sometimes life is a mega rollercoaster and that would be a perfect description of what my life has felt like. With school starting up on the road there have been some massive feelings ricocheting off the metal walls of our trailer. As uncomfortable as were some of the recent challenges I am grateful for the blessings and lessons God has taught me when I was figuratively and literally stuck in a rut.
In today's COME FOLLOW ME sabbath prep episode I share the scripture in 3 Nephi 1:13. I love how Heavenly Father answers our prayers, He is control of the timeline and His prophecies will be fulfilled in the perfect time.
We are awaiting our Savior's second coming and He will come, our prophets prophecies will be fulfilled so let's all link arms, exert patience and find something to be of good cheer.
On Sunday we were talking about Samuel the Lamanite and the messages he was inspired to share with the Nephites and I remembered how if life had gone the way I had hoped I would have hid my treasures unto myself. As I shared this story with my kids their surprised look cracked me up.
Tubing the river can be a bunch of fun until you face a head-on wind. Then the fun experience turns into a frustrating and exhausting one. In some cases, it can become dangerous.
I share in today's episode how sometime you might need to tether yourself to a bigger more powerful boat when the wind is blowing to help you maneuver the river and get to where you are planning on going.
Would tethering yourself to another be helpful to your progression or is there someone that would benefit from being tethered to you?
The book of Helaman is igniting my heart and mind on fire! I am soooo grateful for the constant reminders Nephi is offering to the people. Today. I share an analogy my dad taught us the other week; Will you be an egg or a potato?
Who are you when things get intense? Are you getting stuck in downward spirals? Negative thought patterns? Lashing out at others?
Today I share my own framework and what it actually looks like when I am in the thick of something very present and intense.
Have you ever received inspiration in a piercing way? Did you act on it? How did it bless you?
I was exerting all my energies to draw upon heaven's power to change someone. The truth is I don't have the power to change anyone and God won't change people who don't seek and choose change.
In this episode, I share how my focus shifted from being on what others do or don't do and what I am doing and becoming.
I share how my prayers took a transforming shift and why waiting can increase our desire to grow.
I love what we learn in Alma 43 about the difference between how God cares about His people and how satan sends his people into battle practically naked!
Don't let satan fool you, he doesn't care about you but God does!!! Not only did God make you, He has magnificent blessings for you. God will prepare you, guide you, protect you and help you remember who you are and who you can become.
In today's episode, I share how listening to the information and experience of others can greatly help you when rafting and in life. We don't all need to make the same mistakes, we can share our experience with each other and grow into that more glorified and expanded version of ourselves.
What messages and information are those who have already gone before you sharing with you?? Are you listening? Are you following them?
Raise your hand if you think that Alma is amazing, my hand is high in the sky! Alma's teachings about the resurrection and judgment have enlightened my mind and enlarged my soul.
Today's come follow me episode I share an insight about Alma 41:12. I looove how ALma explains the restorations of things and feel encouraged to be better, do good continually and repent as often as I remember.
Do you ever get distracted by something in your life that you forget to do the things that really add light to your life?
I share a time I was distracted by an amazing cliff and ended up in a potentially dangerous situation with bears...
Don't forget to do the things that keep you close to your savior, his light will always light the way.

Answer these two questions-
When was the last time you second guessed yourself?
And
Before you make a decision do you need to have someone else validate you????

This resulted in the feeling of being stuck! STUCK 😳
UGH!!! Being stuck really sucks because it means no movement, no momentum, and no progression.
If you are stuck because you're constantly second-guessing yourself I'm here to tell you IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY annnnnnd if you think you can't get unstuck I have news for you!!!

For me, motherhood has been the greatest challenge! I wonder if it wasn't for the insecurities I've had to work through I don't think I would have developed the relationship with Christ that I have today.
In this episode, I talk about how our challenges and dark moments are opportunities for us to come to know our Savior and who He intends us to be.

Ammon's experience with the King's flocks getting scattered could have triggered frustration, anger, and decreased his faith BUT it didn't. Ammon's confidence in God is inspiring. He saw it as an opportunity to show expose others to God's amazing power.
I want to be like Ammon! I was to be constantly growing my confidence in God so I can be ready to respond to intense experiences with faith, courage, and GOD CONFIDENCE!
We drove the Skalkaho Pass the other week and boy was it a crazy adventure. Our first time driving it I had the stark reality of how powerful thoughts are and how sifting a specific focus can transform the entire experience.

Alam 13 talks a lot about the priesthood, the power of God. I am so grateful for the eternal truths that were revealed about God's power.

My dog wears a shock collar and it's been amazing! I had tried it years ago but for various reasons, it didn't stick until now.
This shock collar is a daily part of our life. As I have been reaping the benefits of keeping her safe and she has had the freedom to run around I have thought lots about the spiritual lessons in the shock collar.
Enjoy this episode and see how I bring a gospel connection to shock collars!!!

Mosiah 26: 22-23 really made my mind consider if I would or have fasted and prayed for my enemies? Alma the younger and the sons of Mosiah were basically enemies to the people of God as they were actively trying to destroy what was most important to them.
Here is why I am inspired by them...
HOW WOULD YOUR LIFE BE DIFFERENT IF EVERYDAY YOU HAD CONFIDENCE IN GOD & HIS PLAN FOR YOU???
YOU WOULD-
LOVE BEING YOU
FELL CLOSE TO GOD
KNOW YOU HAVE DIVINE POTENTIAL
RADIATE CONFIDENCE
GAIN CLARITY ON YOUR PURPOSE
STOP SECOND GUESSING YOURSELF
LIVE WITH MORE JOY
KNOW THAT YOU ARE ENOUGH
HAVE SELF ACCEPTANCE
STOP FEELING STUCK
Stop waiting and START ACTING; True Confidence is in your future- thetrueconfidencecourse.com
God will always provide a way and sometimes as in the case of King Limhi's people, the way isn't crazy unusual, sometimes the way that been there all along. We just don't see the way until we are open to seeing things differently or through a different perspective.
Are you seeking for a way to escape something in your life right now but can't seem to find the answer? Perhaps, soften your heart and look at your situation from a different angle.
Have you ever tried to belt when singing? I have but I didn't succeed instead of belting I was scream-singing.
In today's episode, I share the three lessons I learned from hurting my voice so much that I stopped singing.
First off what do you think about singing? Do you like it? Have you had similar experiences from pushing and pushing to prove something to someone else but in doing so hurting yourself?
Lessons from Abinadi's resilience, obedience, and confidence in God's will.
If God is compelling you to do something DO IT, don't become discouraged if you don't see the results you desire just keep it up because God has a plan and you are making a difference.
We are 16 days away from leaving our home and living in our trailer!!!
Why are we doing this??? In essence, because we feel compelled and led by God to do so.
In today's podcast episode I share the story from my perspective that got us to where we are right now.
I encourage you to think about what God is compelling you to do and ask yourself if you are following through with it. If you feel like you don't know if you are; I am cheering you on and believe you can do it!
What does it mean to turn your heart to the Lord?
What is in your way preventing you from making this shift in your life today?
The Lord, who is your Savior and Redeemer has SO MUCH to offer you but you have to choose to accept it, to turn towards it.
Will you turn your heart today?
Celebrating what we know is a glorious thing! Equally glorious and important is taking the time to reflect on how you got to the place where you know what you know.
In this episode, I share why I know that seeking light is transformative and the journey that got me to the place where I am today.
King Benjamin is inviting us to believe in God. I share how looking at similar words to the word Believe has deepened my understanding of Mosiah 4:9.
What does "believing" mean to you?
I know that God has a sense of humor. Seriously, He does... and I am grateful for it.
In today's episode, I share just a few of the experiences which built this knowledge that I have in God's sense of humor.
What do you think? Have you had experiences that led you to believe wholeheartedly that God has a sense of Humor?
How do you strengthen your ability to hear the words of the Lord and open your heart to His mysteries?
After being inspired by the words of King Benjamin I feel compelled to recommit myself to daily meditation and to focus on listening when I pray rather than talking so much.
This month I am inviting you to celebrate what you know!
What do you know? Like, really know and believe with your whole heart?
Today's episode I get candid with you and share how I personally know there are no coincidences in life. I have had too many experiences that have proved to me that God is in the details of my life.
I would love to hear your perspective on the matter. Do you agree with me or do you think there are indeed coincidences?
Have you enjoyed reflecting on Jesus Christ as you have prepared for Easter? What are some of your takeaways or favorite parts of Jesus' life?
For me, the magnificent Atonement that He so gifted each of us is my favorite. As I was reading in Alma this week deepening my knowledge and understanding of the Atonement I was stuck by how Alma's thoughts about the Atonement led to transformation.
I LOOOOOVE talking and practicing thoughts that serve me and BOOM right there in Alma 36 was the perfect example of thought work!
Do you focus on what you don't understand and find yourself frustrated or confused? One tool I have found that always brings me peace during times of unrest id to celebrate and focus on what I know!
What do you KNOW? I would feel so honored to learn from you and be inspired by the things you know.
Let's take a moment and celebrate what we know!
Do you ever ponder what Jesus has done for you because He loves you and because He wanted to do it?
I have been pondering on this subject the last few days and my heart is full of gratitude for what my Savior has done for me. I also feel humbled and repentant for the times I haven't appreciated it.
I want to live in a way that shines glory on the name of God and invites others to come unto Christ.
When you think of the Atonement of Christ what thoughts do you have?
I love the scripture that says that we can do all things through Christ. I can come to know this over the years.
God is at the helm of your life and if you invite Him, He will provide the strength you need.
I love Enos! Even those his book only has 27 verses in it they are all jammed packed with golden nuggets!
What are your favorite parts of this short and powerful book?
I share two scriptures that really stood out to me this time reading the book.
Have you ever felt like God was talking to you, sending you a message or guiding you in a way and then second-guessed it?
If you have you are not alone!!
In my 20's I constantly did this. I would think thoughts like "Maybe it's all in my head and I am crazy" "Maybe I just made that up and it didn't come from God!"
Luckily, I have grown in the principle of revelation and now have greater confidence in hearing the word of the Lord. I still have much growth to do in immediately acting on His words and revelation but I am trying.
When was the last time you second-guessed revelation? What did you learn from the experience?
This week in the Come follow me program I was struck by what happened to Jacob in the book of Jacob 7:8.
I want to be like Jacob and be living my life in a way that will bring me close to God and be a vessel of His spirit whenever I need it.
What habits do you keep so you can be a receiver of God's spirit in your life?
Have you ever felt like darkness is surrounding you and that you are losing the battle? I have, MANY TIMES!
I have come to learn an amazing truth throughout my time here on earth and that is alone I am nothing and capable of very little but with God at my side, I can find peace even when someone seems to be trying to hurt me.
Today, on the podcast I share an experience where I was able to find peace amid the yelling of another because I invited Christ to be with me.
Have you ever experienced something like this? I would LOVE to hear your stories.
Have you ever found yourself on the backhand of someone else's wrongdoing?
I have and I am pretty sure everyone has at one point. I know what it's like to sob to my Heavenly Father how my heart breaks. The scriptures I share today explicitly remind us that God hears those prayers and does provide ways for you to experience healing.
I was a happy little camper doing my routine when in the Celestial room in the temple God gave me a new direction. He wanted me to become a temple worker!
I wasn't too thrilled and brushed it off several times. When I softened my heart and chose to act and move forward with this new revelation from God I felt like I was flying.
It's amazing how when we choose to follow the promptings of the voice of the Lord, He provides a way for us to accomplish the thing which He commanded.
This week in my "come follow me" study of the book of Mormon I found my mind stilled as I was reminded of a simple, yet great truth.
Our words have the greatest power when they are accompanied by the power of the Holy Ghost. On our own, we are mere mortals who are hopelessly flawed but with the power (yes, power) of the Holy Ghost, our words can turn hearts to God and create a massive impact on an individual.
My hope is to live in a way that I am always worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost so that God can use me as an instrument to bring about His work.
God has plans for you and for me. The question is are we willing to trust Him?
My family and I have been on a journey that has brought us to some big decisions that will dramatically change our life as we know it right now.
Through inspiration, we have decided to hit restart and becoming a traveling family for a period of time.
Want to know what brought us to this decision??? Enjoy this episode, I hope you are inspired to seek and heed the word of the Lord in your individual life.
Do you ever feel like God doesn't care about your dreams or desires? The truth is He really does care, more than we know.
God knows you personally. We learn in the scriptures that all good things come from God. That God is light and love. The desires of your heart that are good, filled with light and love come from Him. He wants you to fulfill your desires and will provide a way to make it happen but all in His timing.
Are you making time for the mountain of the Lord (Temple service/attendance) in your life?
Are your covenants fresh in your mind?
Are you aware of the blessings, protection, and power your covenants offer you?
How will you make temple attendance more of a priority in your life?
God speaks to us in several ways but He tells us that He will speak to us in our mind and heart. One may be more impressionable than the other.
Do you feel that you start to feel God's word in your heart or mind first? Most of the time for me it is in my heart first and then verified by clarity in my mind.
The scriptures are for us! Can we find ourselves in the stories of those who can before us? Can we learn from their mistakes? Can we find direction in the counsel they received from the Lord? Can we be strengthened by the testimonies of those in the scriptures?
How do you liken the scriptures to your daily life?
Sometimes my prayers are more like a tantrum of wants rather than developing a desire to know and become better.
In this episode, I chat about identifying when we are wanting something and learn how to transform it into a desire by seeking diligently and softening our hearts.
Have you had an experience where you realized you were just wanting something and when you got it were not ready to grow in the ways possible?
Almost every day I find myself remembering that there is opposition in all things. When I am faced with an obstacle or challenge I remember that is part of God's plan and it is because of this opposition that I develop strength, knowledge and testimony.
How do you stay positive during times of opposition?
God is speaking are you listening?
We are taught over and over again in the scriptures that there is help from heaven, through the gift of the holy ghost we can receive personal revelation directly from our Father in Heaven.
The catch is we need to listen! Often we find ourselves asking and asking our Father in Heaven to fulfill our needs but neglect to take the time to ponder, seek our and listen to His answer.
I hope this episode will encourage you to seek out direction from heaven and have ideas on what listening can look like to you.
Together, I pray we can listen and receive the love and guidance our Heavenly Father desires to give each of us.
Have you ever been to court? Have you ever been to court because of your dog??
I can say yes to both of those questions!
My dog has been a source of drama in my life from the very beginning but the court experience was definitely a low and mega dramatic for the books.
This week in the Come follow me, a program by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we have been reading in 1 Nephi chapters 11-15.
The thought I wanted to share today comes from 1 Nephi chapter 15. After Nephi has been carried away in the spirit He comes to himself and gathers strength to talk to his brothers.
Nephi's brethren say they don't understand. This is not unusual, there are many things that we don't know. It's ok to not understand but it's what we do after not knowing.
When we don't understand we need to ask ourselves the same question Nephi asked his brothers "Have ye inquired of the Lord?"
Remember back in December when I put on the Christmas flash mob? Well, I learned a great lesson. Things didn't go the way I had planned but through God's way of teaching me line upon line it turned out exactly what it needed to be.
As you listen to today's episode I would LOVE to learn how you have learned valuable lessons line upon line. Would you take a moment and share your thoughts?
This week in the come follow me program we have been reading a lot about Nephi's spiritual growth.
This time as I read through Nephi's personal experience with his father's dream the mist of darkness really stood out to me.
Before the mist of darkness always seemed like sinful temptations but this time it made me think of it as a mist of discouragement. When we are surrounded by discouragement it's easy to want to give up or wander off.
I would love to hear if you have ever thought of the mist of darkness as the suffocating influence of discouragement?
We all are longing to belong, we are wired that way. God made us with the desire to belong. Unfortunately, many of us have thought that we can't belong because we have followed the path of trying to fit in.
Truth is fitting in is a lie and will never work.
To achieve the sense of belonging we must accept ourselves, others and ultimately God. In this episode I will share tangible ways you can start doing in your life.
Too many of us get stuck in a place where we want to change who we are to fit into some invisible space. Truth is we are not made to fit we were made to expand in a place of belonging.
We can belong, we much belong but we only get to belonging when we move through acceptance. Acceptance of self, others and God.
Acceptance leads to belonging and belonging leads to expanding into a better version of yourself.
I hope amid all the Christmas celebrations you will find time to remember the reason for the season.
Jesus is our Savior, Lord and Redeemer. He was born to Mary in a lowly stable. As we receive and give gifts perhaps take a moment to reflect upon the ultimate Gift of Jesus Christ.
I LOOOOOOOVE Christmas but not all Christmas traditions. As I have grown in life I have been particular about what Christmas traditions I will continue to practice and which one I will let go of.
Traditions have great power to bring people together and amplify goodness but sometimes they just create stress and chaos. I am grateful that I have learned this lesson.
Want to know which traditions serve me and bless my Christmas season????
Enjoy this episode. I would love to know which Christmas traditions serve you:)
After several years of painful experiences of trying to get my family to take the typical beautiful family pictures I decided I needed to try something else.
I thought what could we do that we would all love? I wanted awesome photos that were associated with great experiences. The idea of creating our own AWKWARD family photos was born.
For the past 6 years we have been creating memorable Christmas cards and experiences that make the whole family and many others happy.
Wanna hear the whole story?
I LOVE the concept taught in 1st John chapter 1. The concept of LIGHT; God is light.
I am so grateful for the counsel taught in this chapter. If we are seeking for LIGHT we will come to know God and develop a relationship with Him and then utilize the amazing gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Have you ever wanted to be a part of a Christmas flash mob??
If you live in Colorado I would LOOOOVVVEEEE you to join me in a Christmas flash mob.
In todays episode I share with you the stories behind the three flash mobs I have created.
You will see how God has led me and I encourage you to reflect on how God is leading you? What projects or tasks is God trusting you with?
Enjoy this episode about reflection and gratitude! I am so thrilled about how far I have come and the seasons of life and how they have transformed me.
What season are you in?
James reminds us the power we have in the word we choose to say.
Our words have power to literally destroy and impact for negative just as fire can destroy that which it burns.
How will you use your words? To destroy or to uplift and empower?
In this episode we traveled across Europe and explored and embraced amazing cultures and my kids favorite thing was so unexpected! They loved the mud puppies they found in a little creek in Slovenia.
Jesus encouraged us to be like little children and I think a reason why is because He wants us to marvel and delight in the beauty and blessings around us.
God created you and me and every other person on the planet! It's amazing and wonderful and true!
I hope you enjoy this reminder of who you are and who you can become.
It was a 13 days before I turned 20 when Ben proposed to me. I KNEW he was going to do that evening. I didn't know how or when but I had even told my friend in dance history that morning that I thought my boyfriend was going to propose.
In this episode I read directly from my journal entry I wrote that very evening about the proposal and all the details.
You will love this!
In this episode I share my experience of losing my father-in-law. At the time my children were young and I wrote them a letter in hopes to provide them comfort one day when they're a bit older; missing their grandpa or experiencing the presence of death in a different aspect of their life.
It'sinteresting because even through the despair sadness and sorrow that I felt at that time; for myself, my husband and our family the light of Christ was ever present within me because I felt like I walked through out my days with Him at my side.
In Hebrews chapter 10 Paul uses the word "Illuminated" to describe the power the spirit has to add light, direction and guidance to our lives.
As we record the experiences that are illuminating to our soul, our mind, our heart and life experience it can empower up with a strong testimony to endure and continue to persevere.
Life will forever be filled with up's and downs and those illuminating memories will be the tools that will help us move through all afflictions hand in hand with our Savior.
When I was a pre-teen I pushed my limits of rudeness by vomiting angry and hormonal emotions at my dad. Immediately, I knew I had crossed a line in a big way and legged it upstairs to lock myself into the bathroom.
The following events led into running away and quickly realizing that I had to face my actions and make things right.
Sometimes running away from our problems seems WAY more appealing than facing them and moving forward BUT the biggest lie that we tell ourselves is we can avoid the obstacles or mistakes we have made.
In Hebrew's we learn many important truths, one being to become partakers of Christ. What does it mean to partake of something? It means to receive it to take it in, absorb it, and then it literally becomes a part of who we are.
As we have confidence in Christ and partake of the atonement, His teachings and life's example we will become more like Him!

Have you inherited a fear from someone in your life? Are you allowing something that scares you or someone you love to control your actions? Listen to hear the amazing quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that will change the way you view your fears.
In Phillippians Paul teaches more eternal truths, the one I share is about finding JOY in and through Jesus Christ. Such a simple yet profound truth that deep, abiding joy can and is found through our Savior Jesus Christ.
