In His teaching in the gospels, Jesus uses phrases like "you have heard it said," and "have you not read?" Typically the context is correcting misunderstanding about the Law of Moses. Alright everybody--new month = new topic on the Brother Cousins Podcast Project. So, we've been running pretty theology-heavy around here, and decided to bring home some basics in a fresh way. The Christian faith starts in the heart and grows into actions. This month, we will look at 4 Christian disciplines with a view to implement them more fully into our walk with Jesus. They are: Study of Scripture, Prayer, Worship, and Fellowship.
In each episode we'll examine our "why" for the specific practice, offering some personal examples. Then we will move from the "why" to the "what" and "how" (based on our reasons, what will our practice be and how will we accomplish it?)

This time of year often brings emotions such grief to an intersection of memories and loneliness. If not careful, it can lead someone to a dark state of despair and hopelessness.
