Ok I wasn't the one driving it was a friend/roommate. We had just gotten home from a restaurant. About a couple miles away from the restaurant is a road and there's nothing but trees. So we are driving and he stops the car. I asked him why he stopped and he said "that dude is crossing the street up ahead. I don't road while he is looking at me. There is nobody there. So we start going - again and I hear a loud thump so I look out the back window and there's a dark figure about 4 yards behind us. The figure was maybe 7 ft tall and all black except for a white streak going across the figure's chest. I ask if that's the person he saw. He said yes. So w just kept going not even caring anymore. A few minutes goes by and we are in the city now. We are at a red light and the figure is sitting on the sidewalk with a teddy bear in its hand. When we started going again it just looked at us. When we got back to our apartment we both go to bed. An hour or two goes by and I wake up td the sound of my roommate screaming. He told me that the dark figure was staring at him through the the buildingwindow. We live on the 4th story of the building.
When I was in High School we had a kid pass a note to another kid all subtle like. They both sat behind me in the same row. The kid did not even read it, he put it in his pocket but the teacher saw.
She made him stand up and told him to pull out the note. He refused. She legit reached into his pocket and said something like "Lets see what you are hiding from class."
She saw the contents and went white. The note said something along the lines of "Package left in 2nd trash can of the 3rd empty room" or something like that.
The police found a small amount of Heroin and a 22 pistol with no ammo in the said trash can underneath some balled up papers.
This turned into a mess where the kids both claimed neither one wrote the note and were not the intended recipient.
The event never got punished because they could never prove anything other than the teacher saw 2 kids pass a note.
About 4 years after graduation I saw on myspace, yup that long ago, that one of them died to an OD and the other was arrested for his murder. They never got him for the murder, but did got him on a drug charge.
Me and my girlfriend at the time were traveling from New Zealand to my family back home in Sweden. We both decided to spend a bit more money to fly back to NZ through Paris instead of Amsterdam, just because we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. It cost us maybe an extra $50 and we got to see it on the landing and then take off, but never actually set foot in Paris proper because we were poor students.
When we landed in Auckland, New Zealand, we turn on our phones and notice that we have about 50 missed calls from our travel agent, which was odd. When we call her, she sounds super relieved and out of breath. She tells us the flight she originally suggested to us, the one from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down over Ukraine. My brain couldn't process that information at the time, but once I woke up the next day it hit me like a ton of bricks. $50 made the difference between seeing the big steel thingy that has so many photos of it and bring sent to Sweden in body bags piece by piece.
Sometimes the absurdity of my existence comes over me, and this story always gives me goosebumps.
Went to a friend from colleges funeral about a month ago. He passed young, early 30s and had a wife and three small kids with the youngest two being twins born early this year. I get to the funeral and was surprised how well her wife seemed to be holding it together.
Apparently the reason she wasn't very upset was because, the friend had been leading a double life for the past 13 years! He had always claimed his dad had owned a trucking company and then sold it leaving him really well off. He also had claimed his mom passed while we were in school, that he was an only child.
Turns out none of it was. His mom and sister attended the funeral, the mom all of us, including his wife, thought had died when we were in college and the sister none of us knew existed.
The trust fund he told that he set up for the girls doesn't exist. He had maxed out multiple credit cards she didn't know existed, and on top of all of this, he was cheating with multiple other women.
I am still sad my friend passed but I we realized we never met the real him. We are doing what we can to help his family.
This one time, when I was about 15-16, I was about to walk inside my building, had just placed the keys in the lock, I
see two girls walking by behind me. I can actually hear one of them say, as
she points at me:
"Let's talk to this guy"
But then her friend goes:
"No, not him, he's ugly. Let's go."
The girl that actually wanted to talk to me was cute and everything, man. So, not only did her friend cockblock me but she also called me ugly. And that hurt.
I walk upstairs, walk into my place and then walk over to the balcony to see if I can spot the girls. They're right across the street talking to each other. I shout and and ask would you like to come over? They said yes, and I said not you, only you. She came. And I saw that 'WTF' look on her friends face which made me laugh.
On the first day of the 6th grade, the most important decision a newly graduated 5th grader has to make during the summertime is what he will wear the very first day of 6th grade.
After much consideration, I decided on a blue Florida Gators t-shirt, with matching blue Florida Gators shorts (tucked in, mind you), the ones with the Gator sewn on the left leg trim? [ thought I was the man. First day, an older girl sat next to me on the bus and we had a small talk:
Me: Yeah, I'm excited for the first day.
Her: What's up with your shorts?
Me: What do you mean? We got them on vacation, they are the Florida Gators.
Her: No. I can see. OMG, Is that your underwear?
Me: What? Huh?
This next line will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Her: OMG, you are wearing boxer shorts as shorts!
I was in 6th grade. I didn't know what boxer shorts were.
Went with the boys to a strip club down in Mexico. We were watching two girls rub whipped cream all over each other, when we heard a scream. We all looked up and one of the girls came running out of the bathroom yelling in Spanish.
One of the girls had just died of an overdose in the bathroom. Several men went upstairs, picked up the girl's limp body, and carried it downstairs and out the front door. All the girls were shaken and crying. Then the boss called them all into the back room while we all sat around gaping at each other.

Five minutes later the girls came out with fresh makeup and smiles on their faces, acting like nothing had happened. We all got so creeped out we just went home.
When I was at the first appointment with my former therapist, she started with the dreaded, "so, what brings you in here?" question. My answer was a discombobulated jumble of vague statements, one thought half-finished before leading to the next. I could barely keep eye contact because of the shame, so I was talking mostly to my knees.
Finally I broke for a moment to try to gather my thoughts, and my therapist hit me with this: "Do you sit down in the shower?" She may as well have blown an airhorn. I don't remember how long I stared at her like she some demon before answering in the affirmative. I remember she looked a little satisfied - like she was glad she'd gotten that one right - before her expression disappeared.
It wasn't something that pinged my radar because I'd loved long, hot showers my whole life. But sitting during the shower was a (relatively) recent development at the time, and I only started because I wanted to stay in the shower with the hot, noisy water pounding on my head until it got cold, and standing was too much effort. Still, her educated guess both shook me and made me feel seen, in a way my previous therapist never accomplished.
My best friend set me up on a blind date straight after my divorce. I was 22 and she told me I "needed a good man". She told me all about how this guy had a good job and he was so nice blah. She would NOT tell me how old he was, and would only send me blurry pictures. I felt pressured so I went.
He was no where near as attractive as she had made him out to be, and much, much older than I expected. He looked at me and said, "she didn't tell you how old I was, did she?"
Anyway, this guy proceeds to drive me around his property, which is huge and beautiful out in the country in TN. He takes me up on a mountain on a four wheeler and proceeds to try to kiss me. I, being terrified I might be mur**ed out here in the middle of nowhere, let him and it was one of the worst kisses I have ever had. Then he proceeded to absolutely trash his ex wife because she turned out to be a lesian while walking me around the house they lived in.
He then showed me the house he was living in with his brother which was basically just a shack.
It was awful. I now tell everyone she tries to set up about this experience, and let them know not to trust her.
Due to the bad economy and poor money
management, my parents have moved into the spare room of the house my husband and I bought a year ago. Things are mostly smooth, though I'm not the closest to them for several reasons I won't go into here.
The other evening I was out gardening (because it's hot during the day and we have the luck of having a streetlight right next to our front yard, keeping it pretty well illuminated even after sundown, I mostly garden at night), and I thought I had gotten the hose twisted, as it kept getting stuck. This went on for a bit, when I realized that it wasn't stuck, but being pulled. I looked into the dim area just past the illumination of the street light and spied my father, crouched over and tugging the hose. Well I did the only reasonable thing to do, and I sprayed him. He yelled and ran inside with me chasing.
75K
Once he got inside he made a face and goes "You can't get me now! I'm inside!!" In that father-to daughter-don't-you-make-a-mess tone of voice. I readied my hose, looked him in the eye and said, "It's my house." And just f***ing let loose with the hose. He was soaked. Worth cleaning up the mess for that moment of true fear in his eyes.
I played truth or dare with a mixed group of kids. I was spending the night at a friends house whose older sister was also having a sleep over. We were three years younger and were of an age where avoiding the girls was the safest bet, I think twelve or thirteen.
Anyways, the girls drug my two friends and I into a game of truth or dare. It got serious and a girl was dared to take me into a closet and "make a man" out of me.
The girl took me into the closet and sat down next to me. She held my hand, said we weren't going to do anything, and we stayed in there for about twenty minutes while the game continued. I think she sensed how scared and embarrassed I was. They knocked on the door a couple times but she would scream to go away. The whole time we were in there we talked about how stupid the game was, and that she was sorry that I got singled out. When we finally left, after the other kids got bored with the game, she explained the whole thing away by saying she chickened out and we just talked. The way she explained it, it didn't even become a thing and the night was as uneventful as any other night. #TruthorDare
I was rock climbing and this guy who was my belayer for the day was busy spending most of his time flirting with a cute girl who is friendly but seriously not into him. He gets chewed out by our lead for not paying attention, but he continues to not pay attention as he is incapable of picking up cues. Well, there's me, twenty five feet or so off the ground with my rope slack and feeling my hands slipping because I'm just running out of steam. Now having told him three times to pick up the slack, I look down and see he's completely ignoring me. My mistake was looking down, as I reach to re-adjust my weakening hold and slip. The rope shoots out of his limp, sausage like fingers and I began to fall (I know a properly tied off rope shouldn't do that. I don't know how he screwed that up too). My only thought is if I'm going to fall, I'll damn well land on him.
Well I did. I landed straight on his cushy body. I was barely injured. He was taken to hospital after having 80 odd kilos land on him from two stories up. I never happened to see him at that rock climbing club again.
I once bought a game and when I opened it outside the shop it had no disc in it, I went back and they didn't believe me so I argued with them for at least 30mins before they tried to kick me out saying I was scamming them. After about an hour (They kept telling me to leave and get out of the way and trying to then ignore me) in total I got them to check the CCTV and the manager hadn't put the disc in the case. Without a word he got a copy and threw it at me and stormed off.
I had a birth mark that was displaying all the classic signs of skin cancer but every time I tried telling my mum about the concerning symptoms, she brushed me off (she didn't even look). Eventually after 3-4 weeks I was taken to see a doctor and the situation then escalated very quickly (long story short I ended up having a cancerous 98K tumor the size of an orange removed). The doctor had many stern words with my mother after that.
Begged my parents to not send me to Dislike school as I wasn't feeling well, it was photo day so understandably they sent me because they thought I was lying to get out of it, got the photos back and can see the chicken pox around my neck.
I receive a call from my then girlfriend and she tells me that things are not working between us and she broke up with me over the phone, during which I tried to rationalize why, how, what went wrong, etc.
I rationalized and accepted and was ready to move on. I was sad and had no idea why did she broke up, heart tender obviously since the relationship was real for me at the time but she didn't want to listen so I had to accept it.
Few hours later, I get a call from her, I again ask her what went wrong, did I do anything wrong? At this point is when she said "I am just kidding. We are not really broken up. I was just testing you to see if you would fight for the relationship", which I did but she acted like she didn't want to listen. But at this point of time, I lost my temper, I said No. No that's not how any of this works. I hate to break it to you, but your plan backfired. We really are broken up, because you do NOT test me like this.
I was in so much grief and she was "just kidding".
Follow your company policy. I worked at Burger King, one of my co workers was taking an order from a lady who kept asking how much her total was, and then cancelling food on it and changing her mind. I guess she was trying to keep under a certain dollar amount?
Well at the Burger King I worked at, any cancelled food on an order needed a manager's password. So the manager had come by 3 or 4 times at that point. This was during dinnertime, mind you, so there was a line of customers out the door waiting.
Finally, my co-worker pulled out a pad of paper and a calculator. He started writing this woman's order down and totaling it out by hand. The woman asked him why he was doing that, and he told her "When you make up your mind about what you want, then I'll put it in the register."
This pissed off the lady, so she grabbed the notebook and tried to hit my co worker with it. He snatched it back from her and told her "Get out of here." My manager was only going to write him up for it, the manager agreed that the lady absolutely deserved it, but my manager had to follow company policy.
My grandfather did not die of a heart attack in the garage, my grandmother accidentally hit him with the car.
What happened was she was in the driveway trying to back out, he was standing in front of the car guiding her, she thought she was in reverse, she was looking back, pressed the gas, car went forward and pinned my grandfather against the garage door.
I was 6 at the time and I still remember her sobbing uncontrollably at his wake, almost screaming. She kept calling out to him. They had been married 52 years. She never drove after that, she would walk miles to the grocery store. She never spoke about how he died, but spoke about him all the time. She would always tell me stories and ask me about my memories of him so that I wouldn't forget them. She lived another 23 years with that guilt. She was a strong lady.

Many years later, I had overheard my dad telling someone that his father had died of a car accident. I interjected and said "he died of a heart attack in a car, that's not a car accident". I was then let in on the family secret.
I had gotten out of the military and my wife and I had moved to a place where we had no friends or family. We had 2 little kids and in no way was I interested in being a family man.
In all reality, I was looking for a way out and PTSD was in full effect. So, one day I just packed a bag while my wife was at school and pawned some things to get some cash, so I wouldn't leave her with nothing.
When she got home we were actually really civil with each other and we were talking about the future, but I had made up my mind. I told her I had to run to the store, and she said okay and I said okay, and then my daughter ran up to me said "Daddy! Get me a surprise!" I tried not to cry right there the parking lot for a good 20 minutes crying. I ended up going to Walmart, got my kids some toys, and my wife some Hostess snowballs.
...
on spot. I went to the store and sat in 214K

The kids were so happy and my wife was looking at me weird, but never said anything. From then on I just fought against myself to always be there and this year my wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary.
I was hanging out at friend's house when my mom texts me to inform me that my girlfriend is on her way back from college to surprise me. Extremely happy but shocked because my girlfriend hated this dude, so I prefer not to tell her that I was at this friend's place and had recently told her I was home.
I call my mom to ask when will she be home? She said "anytime now" and I freaked out. I run out of this friend's house without informing him that I am leaving. I jump in the car and start flying home on a road I should definitely not be flying on. As God fated, I pass a cop and see him hit his brakes in my rearview. I instinctively floor it over the hill, pull into a parking lot, and cut my lights off (nighttime). Few seconds pass and I see him fly by with his wee-woos on. With no time to spare I pull back out soon after and finish flying home. Run inside, jerk my clothes off, lay on the couch, turn on the tv, and she knocks on the door not 5 seconds later.
Mission Accomplished? Not yet, as soon as she enters, mom asks me "When did you come home?
Story #1 -. How my running and hiking adventures turned out? A few years ago I lived in a tiny condo right next to a few trails in San Diego. I was on a pretty strict running & hiking routine. One night it got dark faster than expected. A man who appeared to be about 6'3" approached me as I was nearing the end of my hike. He told me; with a smirk on his face, to be careful as there are many things that could hurt me when the sun goes down.
The next day as I'm exiting my back gate he's standing there as if he's waiting for me. He introduced himself and admitted he's been watching me for awhile. I decided to pretend like I was grabbing something from my car and went back into my house. For the next few days I see this guy circling my condo, he was always walking around day and night. I checked the Megan's law website and surprise, there he was. Multiple charges including rape by force or fear and child pornography. I decided to contact his parole officer and he immediately returned my call and stated me to use extreme caution. He said he would do what he could to get him out of the neighborhood. After that call I thankfully never saw him again. Story #2 -. Sitting at the red light at the edge of the town ! I was 19 driving back home from my then boyfriend's house and stopped at a red light on the very edge of town, like city lights behind me but corn fields and shelter belts ahead of me, because it's like 2 in the morning I'm the only one sitting at the red light. No other car stopped near me, everyone just passed the light.
Few seconds later, I saw something moving in my peripherals and because of my location I thought it was gonna be a deer, I didn't look back and waited for the light to turn green. I felt that someone was watching me and running towards me, so I turned my head and locked eyes with a man maybe in his 50s creeping towards my car. When he saw that I saw him he froze and it was then then that I noticed he had a tire iron. I ran the red light and sped out of there.
Happened another time, on the same road but this was around 12 midnight, except I didn't see him until he attempted to open the door, which was thankfully locked. Ran that light so fast!
Now I avoid going out at night at less crowded place and now it's my habit to lock the doors whenever I sit in a car.
Story #1 - Right time to go ? My uncle was in the end stages of pancreatic cancer. My mom called me in a panic telling me he was going to take all his pain meds at once to end it. I told her I understood completely and she should just leave him be.
Then I called him and we talked, a really nice conversation actually- catching up on what my kids were up to, how things were going, etc. And I told him I supported his decision completely, it was his life and his choice. And he told me "I'll be straight with you, Novarunner-I'm not having anyone wipe my ass for me." And we had a laugh. Then I told him goodbye, and a couple days later I got word he had passed on--on his own terms. I miss him, but I am glad he got to choose at the end.
I'm glad I supported his decision to go out how he wanted. Story #2 - Once I slept through a... In college
Woke up to roommates bed creaking, I shoot up to see what the hell is going on. There I see some woman on her back with her legs full spread eagle and my roommate just pile driving it like it was his last day on earth. He usually does that and I have strong sleep so I don't get up.
Like a good bro I quickly lie back down and pretend to be asleep. Her: (in between gasps of air) "Is your roommate awake?" Him: "Naw he sleeps through anything." They didn't notice that I was awake.
Cut to next morning. I casually get up and turn on my Playstation 2 and start playing some random game. Roommates fling gets up and casually comes over and sits next to me. Her: "Good morning my name"Me: "Good morning her name" Her: "Did you sleep good last night?"Me: "Yeah, I can sleep through anything." It took them a second to get that.
Stroy #1 - I didn't know who my colleague really was! I started working at Home Depot around 2005 and was somewhat of an introvert. I graduated in 2004 and really struggled breaking out of the high school mentality and not having a set group of friends to hang out with. So I start at Home Depot and a guy named Nick I work with invites me out drinking, I'm only 19 at the time, but he's a few years older. We ended up becoming very good friends but haven't necessarily breached the emotional shit beyond chicks. We used to go out pretty often back then.
Fast forward a few months and my step-mom's mother dies. Pretty bleak stuff and I really just have my family to talk to, which of course isn't the same at all. I'm kinda struggling, my buddy Nick is drifting away as well and the day of the funeral comes. It's towards the end and I walk up to say my final goodbyes, look over, Nick is there staring at me dumbfounded. We high five, hug, and find out he's my step mom's nephew and we were both drifting away because we didn't have anyone to bring real shit to (outside of family). Been best friends since. Stroy #2 - How I started hating my prestigious job? I graduated law, and got engaged to the girl I had been with through university. We both applied for the same graduate program and ended up working in the same office in Canberra.
Three months before our wedding I found out she was cheating on me with our mutual boss, and I broke it off with her. It got really, really ugly and the two of us ended up in a very bitter court case over property.
Canberra is a pretty small city and the legal world is pretty bloody small there, too, and everywhere I went I bumped into my ex. It was beginning to seriously get me down, and I applied for an Australian government overseas development job in Tuvalu, a pacific island. It's quite a prestigious job to a two year contract on a rotating basis.
get, with only two positions offered for 140K
I was successful in the application and moved on-island to start my posting. To discover that my ex was the other successful applicant.
I spent the next two years sharing a tiny office on a tiny island with the person that I quite honestly loathe more than any other in the world.
Story #1 - A guy shows up at my door ! June 1, 2018. My husband had kissed me goodbye and gone to work. I was cleaning the house for company who was coming to stay the weekend. The doorbell rang. There was a man at my door who introduced himself as the husband of a woman who my husband worked with. He was there to tell me that my husband and his wife were having an affair. He had busted them about six months prior and had told his wife that she had to end the affair. He thinks that she did end it for about three months, but then they started up again. When he found out they were at it again, he called my husband (because he knew if he confronted him in person, he'd be in a jail cell for what he'd have done). On the phone, he told my husband to leave his wife alone or else he would come and tell me everything that was happening. Apparently, my husband thought that he was bluffing.
So I was literally the last to know. My husband never came home again. He got an Airbnb and a lawyer. The divorce was December 21, 2018. We had been together for 24 years. Still hurts. Story #2 - My college bf. I was the mistress in a marriage. The guy was an old bf from high school, we dated off and on. When we were off he would date this girl Kelly, and when we broke up for the final time he went and married her. Almost a year after we broke up, I was back in town on summer break from college and ran into him at my summer job.
He gave me this sob story about how Kelly wanted a divorce and was taking his kid from him. I (stupidly) believed him, we exchanged numbers, started talking daily. He invited me over to "his" apartment, showed me his divorce paperwork, and ultimately things got sexual for a couple weeks.
One day I swung by to pick up a pair of earrings I'd forgotten the day before. His best friend from high school answered the door. I asked if guy was around, best friend said no why would he? Turned out Guy was actually house sitting for best friend, it wasn't his apartment. Best friend also informed me that Guy and Kelly were in the process of BUYING A HOUSE, their marriage was fine.
I was livid and disgusted. I went to work the following day, and in walks Kelly. I ask her what she's doing later that night and if she's available to talk. We meet up after I get off and I lay it all out for her. She teared up a bit, but ultimately she was pissed. She gives me their address and tells me to show up there unannounced the next day.
I do and Guy is white as a sheet trying to get me to leave. Kelly shows up and they end up in a screaming match. So Guy ended up getting divorced and settled with a chunk of child support because Kelly informed the right people about Guys pot plants. None of us talk anymore. When I think about it, I have to shower at least twice.
Story #1 - My stepdad's a Superman! Stepdad used to run the Iron Man equivalent in our area. Also had the absolute conviction found in his generation that Justice was always on his side. Also he always slept naked (which I learned as a result of this incident).
One late summer night two idiot kids tried to steal his truck out of his driveway. He sees this happening from his bedroom window and goes tearing out of the house, totally nude, and chases these two terrified kids for blocks screaming "I'M GONNA GET YOU!". The kids keep running on the small lane and dad keeps chasing them.
He manages to tackle one of them and the other kid surrenders himself, dad threatens to call the police and the cops were on the scene already because obviously some concerned neighbour noticed this happening at 2am in our sleepy little town. God only knows what that 911 call sounded like, we can see a naked man chasing two kids, lol.
Probably a good thing the cop already knew the kid as a car thief. He hung out with the sobbing teen and suggested my stepdad sit in the cruiser till my mom could bring him some pants. Story #2 - Momma bear in the hood! I grew up in a pretty shaky
neighborhood. Lots of drugs, prostitutes, petty criminals.
My older brother and I were in high school at the time and we would get home before my parents.
For about a week, a man in a truck was sitting outside of our house at the same time every day when we got home, like he was waiting for us. Just sitting in the drivers seat, not looking at us or talking to us, just sitting there. It was really creepy but we just ignored him and went inside. My mom knew this was going on but he was always gone by the time she came home.
One day, he was still there when she got home. BIG MISTAKE. Momma bear 110K came out. She went up to the truck, pounded on his window, and started screaming at him to get the fuck away from her house and if she ever sees him there again she's going to kill himDislike My mom is 5'1 but pure fury. Not someone to fuck with. We never saw him again.
Story #1 - The 180 degrees turn. At my work we host weddings.
6.2k
A few years ago the groom and one of our waitresses were caught having sex on the ninth green by the maid of honour. Families of the groom and bride were out in the garden enjoying drinks. We were searching one of the waitress who wasn't picking the call and we couldn't find her. The maid of honour accidently found the waitress but with the groom in an unseeable condition and this had to be told to both the families.
The 180 degree turn of drunk happy people to incredibly angry drunk people was insane, the families were screaming at each other the bride was crying, the mother of the bride was crying, the dad was being held back cause he was gonna finish the groom (understandable). The groom was just standing while looking down and didn't say a word. Groom's father was apologising but the bride's father was seriously uncontrollable and he beated the s*** out of the groom. We ended up calling the police, they came and escorted the grooms family out the door (some of the smart grooms family took off right away when they heard). It all happened within an hour. Story #2 - The Dj loses the power at the wrong moment. At a reception, my wife and I were on the dance floor and I reeeealy had to fart. I figured I'd do it while the music was loud. I stood back a little from her and let it rip the very second the DJ lost power. Everyone looked our way and saw me looking at my wife. They looked at my wife. She ran off in a huff.
Then I still had bad gas and was looking for s place to let it rip. The hall had some bay doors to a balcony, so I backed my ass out the doors and blasted ass. I turned around to close the doors and saw the bride and groom were out there having an alone moment that I just farted on.
Story #1 - My best friend - The Devil's Daughter. I was in what I later realized was a very bad relationship, but at the time, this dude was like a religion to me. I was crazy about him. My best friend at the time was sort of a mean girl, but I wasn't very good at making friends so I put up with her being cruel to people.
Anyway, that relationship started getting abusive, but I kept with it because you know; I was young and stupid. I convinced myself that if I tried a little harder, everything would just fix itself. It didn't, and after a few months, we broke up.
Some time later, I was at a party, and my "friend" was a bit drunk. She told me while laughing the entire time, how she and my ex were sleeping with each other two weeks after we started dating. She details about how they would have sex while he was talking to me on the phone and then laugh about it, how they used to sneak around to sleep with each other.
This was the girl I would cry to when my ex would abuse me.
She didn't seem to have any idea that what she was saying wasn't funny. She actually thought that I would think it was funny too. Story #2 -. The Story that will give you hope. We have been friends for like 5 years. I'd always liked her from the start but didn't want to risk the friendship. Turns out she was thinking the same thing the whole time. She was just a physically affectionate friend to everyone, so I didn't think anything of her constantly touching me in ways that would usually be considered flirting. We were close but none of us ever expressed anything.
At some point one of our mutual friends, who I hadn't told, let slip by accident that she had a mega crush on my friend, and she said it was true, I confided my feelings as well, and we got busy fast, because we both felt we'd spent enough time together to be year and a half, and we're still together and still in that honeymoon phase. I think I might propose her on our two year anniversary, and that is accidentally the same date when she turns 24.
me, and I couldn't believe it. I asked ...
sure of each other and now it's been a 160K

I'm a very lucky dude, and I know everyone won't be so lucky, but there is hope my dudes.
Story #1.-. I was 19 and we had been seeing each other for 6 months and he calls and tells me he slept with someone else the night before (I lived a hour away). I broke up with him right away. Couple days later I'm thinking about it and I hadn't had a period in awhile so I take a pregnancy test and I'm pregnant. I tell him and he tells me he will take care of us and we are a team now and will do it together.
My friends warned me that this is not the right guy, he's been flirting with most of my friends, but with a person can get matured attitude, I thought he'll be grown up now. So I forgive him, he told me right away and I'm young and freaked out.
Four years later we get married. Years after that we have another kid. We buy a house in the suburbs, both work, go on dates, ride our bikes and we're just a perfect happy family. I trusted him completely. Took awhile but we had over done so much at a young age. 6 months ago he sits me down and admits that he had slept with over 10 different women this whole time. Story #2 -. I was 19 and casually seeing a girl. Then one day I found a lump in one of my testicles while I was taking a shower. Went to the doctor and it turned out that it was cancer and that they would have to remove it. Oh, and I would have to have at least 2 rounds of the most intensive chemo out there if I wanted to not die. There was also the very strong chance that I would be sterile for the rest of my life. Realizing that this was something that I might not survive I ended things and dropped off the face of the planet for the girl I was seeing, as I didn't want to end up being the dead boyfriend. She found out what was going on though and basically insisted that she be with me through it all. She came to every single 8-10 hour chemo session and helped me through recovery. Fast forward 6 years and we are happily married with 2 kids and our 3rd on the way.
Story #1 -. Had a history teacher one year, really good teacher, very friendly with all the students. He had had a teenage son who had committed suicide, and after he took some time off, he came back to work.
Standard class clown kid started acting up in his class, teacher asks him to go into the hallway and wait for him to come so he can speak with him privately. We heard their exchange get a little heated, but this kid just cranked it to 11 and insinuated teacher's kid was right to do that with a father like him. We later heard that kid bounce off some lockers about a second after and we could hear the loud crying noise of that kid.
Teacher came back into the room with angry tears and told one of us to call the school resource officer. It became a big hullabaloo and teacher ended up getting suspended for the rest of the year. At the time, we thought it was crazy he'd shove that kid like that. 15 years later and some real world experience, I'm surprised that's all he did. Story #2 -. My school was very strict, we had weird rules. I had a teacher who would not let anyone go to the bathroom the entire year, we tried alot to make her happy so that she could be a bit merciful, but nothing worked.
So the last month of school, my friends and I got so fed up with it and decided to take some action. We made a plan and decided that I will execute it. Next day, I brought an extra change of clothes hidden in my backpack and drank three bottles of water at lunch. During class that afternoon, I asked the teacher if I could use the restroom, and of course, she responded with the usual "no," so I said "ok". About 10 minutes later I ask her again, it's urgent can you please let me go for once, and this time she angrily says "didn't you hear, no" and this time I just pissed all over myself and the desk. The teacher was pissed off.
5.8K
I had an extra change of clothes so it Dislike was only uncomfortable for a little bit. The look on her face was worth it. Now she lets any and everyone go to the bathroom as needed.
Story #1 - I moved back home after 2 years of college in another city and started going to a school with a bunch of friends and others from my high school. Before I moved away, I was a bit overweight and ashamed of my body but in the 2 years away from home I had worked out and got pretty jacked.
At a party, I was wearing a very baggy shirt. There was a girl I was interested in and a very good friend of mine, who knew I was into her and knew that I had got into good shape. He pulled the Dare card, and dared us to switch clothes. I'm 6'6", she's 5'8" and we had to swap shirts and pants. I had a baggy shirt and jeans on, she was in a crop top and shorts. We swapped, everyone started to notice that I was a lot more jacked than before and she kept staring. When the game was done, she wouldn't let me switch back into my clothes saying that "she liked how they fit me". We went home together that night, started dating and are now married and expecting our first kid! Story #2 -. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. We were too old to be playing truth or dare, like 20 years old. My friend had only seen boobs in his dad's Playboys, He hadn't even kissed a girl yet. Some woman was dared to show everyone her tits. My friend was silently stoked. He didn't cheer out loud, but I knew he was f***ing giddy. As the woman lifted her shirt and bra, some other goober leaned right in front of my friend and blocked his view. It was over before my friend could react. He complained about it for weeks. We've laughed about it for years. Story #3 -. Was sitting outside at a college campus and was dared to yell "I love you" to the next person I saw. I did and this dude yells it back and keeps walking. We go back and forth getting louder and louder as he walks off. Best reaction ever.
Story #1 - I stopped at Home Depot to pick up an item so I knew it was going to be a quick trip. I'm in the store and notice I'm pretty much the only girl in there besides employees. I couldn't find what I was looking for and had to ask multiple employees before I found it.I check out and as I'm heading out to my car I notice a shady dude standing against a tree on one side of my car. On the other side of my car is another shady guy sticking his arm outside of his car window. When I walked out they both turned and stared at me. My heart dropped, I started to feel queasy, and my mind instantly knew to turn around and go inside. I stood there shaking at the front of the store until I could get the courage to ask an employee to walk me to my car.As soon as they saw me walking out with an employee, the guy standing by the tree walked around my car and into the drivers side of the car parked next to me. To this day I swear I was a short walk away from being kidnapped. Story #2- The girlfriend and I used to work at the same ski hill, and the place was pretty much full of seasonal employees. Anyways she got this new dude in her department that everyone thought was a super nice guy. I did not trust him. There was just something about the way he talked to female employees that just seemed weird.
He was trying to gain their trust way too quick. I made my sentiments known to my girlfriend and other friends and they thought I was just being jealous. I worked part time out of town at the time, and he'd aways ask me what days I was gone, it was weird. He also didnt have a car, so sometimes my girlfriend would give him a ride home and he'd ask her to hang out. She declined.
So at the end of the season, a female friend of ours and this guy decide to rent a place together (they weren't dating) and as they're in the final steps, Federal Marshalls show up and arrest him. Turns out he had been on the run for over a year for kidnapping and raping a girl in a different part of the country. Trust your instincts.
Story #1 -. Former 911 operator here.
Sometimes the calls that stick with you aren't the most physically traumatic. I once had a call from a 17 year old kid who came home from a sleepover to find that his mother had moved. Just packed up his sister and everything in the house and left while he was gone with no forwarding address or information. She also turned off his cell phone that morning so literally the only number he could call was 911.
He was trying so hard not to cry and his voice was shaking as he kept apologizing to me for calling 911. He just didn't know what else to do and had no other family. She also took everything so all he had was a couple of things that he had taken to the friends house. He told me his 18th birthday was in a couple of weeks and he literally had nothing and started to cry out loud.

The officers that responded took him to a shelter. I think about him often and I hope he's ok. Even if he was a kid who got in trouble or had behavioral issues, I can't imagine coming home to find your mother has abandoned you. Story #2 -. It was Father's Day mind you, had this 5 year old kid call in at least 6 times but he'd never stay on the line long enough for us to get a good "ping" on his cellphone.
We were finally able to get him to stay on the phone long enough by talking about how his teddy bear was "sick". We asked to speak to his parents and he told us they were in bed and the door was locked, so we asked him to go knock on the door, he then told us he had been locked in his room.
Okay, I think we know what's going on now.
By this point we had an officer en route to this kid's house to go make sure everything was okay.
The officer arrives on scene, a few minutes go by, then the officer comes over the radio and says "5120 back in service, the teddy bear is 10
The officer made his way up to the comm center and proceeded to tell us all that the kid's Dad answered the door wearing only boxer shorts and was more than a little agitated when he found out his son had been calling 911.
Story #1. There was a 24 year old patient who was brought in from a jail in a rural county. He was working roadside cleanup when he found a bottle in a ditch that he thought contained alcohol and he quickly chugged it down. To be fair it did look like whiskey.
It turns out it was a substance that contained sulfuric acid. Its pH was less than 2.5 it just ate up the litmus paper. So shortly after he gets to the ICU he is in excruciating pain and vomiting blood.
The gastroenterologist took him to do an EGD (basically a procedure where they can look at the esophagus, stomach and duodenum with a camera attached to a flexible tube) and the pictures were horrendous. You could literally see his stomach and esophageal mucosa eroding away.
He had to be sent off to another hospital where they had an esophageal surgeon who could repair the mess. He of course needed multiple surgeries and had a very long hospital stay. I saw him a few months later when he was admitted for another issue. He was down to 90 lbs (from about 150) and was getting fed through a PEG tube. Story #2 -. The doctor, another nurse, and I are sitting in a delivery room watching this chick's snatch vomit up a baby. I've seen this several times before. Anyway, the head was crowning and the dad (who had been there the entire time comforting his wife) is just hunkered down watching this baby be born while holding his wife's hand.
The first baby is out. It's a girl. He nods and keeps watching.
Second baby is out, also a girl. He nods.
After we let the mom hold the girls we took them to the nursery while the mom got situated. Dad disappeared. I didn't see him for another hour and a half.
I decided to pass by the nursery to take a look at the twins I helped deliver. The dad was standing there with this really weird look on his face. I asked him if he was okay, and he said, "Yeah. Looks like I'm a dad now." and then burst into some really heavy sobs.
But he quit just as fast as he started and his expression changed to that of pure, unbridled joy. He apologized and then told me he was so excited to know who his little girls were going to be.
Story #1 - The smartest thing I've seen my cat do is referee when my girlfriend's kitten was trying to fight her older cat. We were initially terrified because my cat was found as a stray and you can tell that he's had his butt kicked in a few fights back in the day. When we adopted him, when he'd hear the other cats start playfighting, he'd rush out to be there too. He weighed about twice as much as the next biggest cat, and we knew almost nothing about his personality at the time, so of course this filled us with terror. Well, we followed him out into the next room, and he had just managed to perch himself on the coffee table, above the action, and was just watching.
When the older cat switched from playing to getting genuinely exasperated with the kitten, he tagged in so the other cat could get away. For months he would do this, so we figured he may have helped raise kittens when he was stray. Story #2 -. When I lived with my ex we got a cat that would occasionally come make pitifully adorable tiny mews outside my bedroom door when she wanted attention. Usually it was 50/50 wanting to be cuddled or wanting me to shake the food bowl so she couldn't see the bottom.
One time she sounded a lot more urgent than usual. I went and opened the door and she ran off. Okay, not cuddles. I followed her down the stairs and she turned left into the dining room instead of right into the kitchen where her food was. Okay what's up? She went to the middle of the floor and sat down, staring at a window. Took me a couple of seconds to realize the bird feeder usually suction cupped to the outside was missing and she was very distressed about it.
I went outside and put it back on the window, and she jumped on the stool by the window to watch me do it. When I went back in I walked back into the dining room. She looked over her shoulder at me then jumped down, ran over, rubbed against my legs for a few seconds, then went back and jumped back on the stool again waiting for birds to show up.
Story #1 - High school, 14 years old, had a huge crush on this girl who was in a few of my classes.
One day I was leaving science class and someone behind me says my name. I turn around to see my crush and her friend. Her friend had spoken to me. She continues: "Hey did I tell you it was [crush]'s birthday today?".
I look at her, look at crush (who looks nervous) and I think 3 things: 1) I've never spoken to you before; of course you didn't tell me it's her birthday. 2) Hey it's my birthday in a few days! 3) Ohmigod! Crush is right there looking at me!
I quickly say "No.", turn on my heel and leave.
Only realised a couple weeks later she was probably going to invite me to a party or something. Everyone I've told this story to confirms that suspicion. Story #2 -. Went to a guy's house to do a project in high school. It involved the Internet and while he sat next to me I tried to navigate to Google. Unfortunately, the address bar auto-filled and took me to his last Google search.... page two of results for my name. Every link had been clicked. We both just sat in silence. Story #3 - I went and retrieved my 25 year old girlfriend from her conservative, religious Middle Eastern family. In their culture, women have the freedom of a child until they are married off. I would never have been accepted by her father, due to my Christian white American upbringing.
When she was in the country, I hopped on a plane, got her, and brought her home with me. I was already working out the paperwork needed to marry her and let her stay in the country legally, but had not yet filed anything.
She never discussed me with them, and they
did not have even the slightest clue where she
went. They only knew that she left.
Her father hired a PI to track her down. Within
two days of her getting on the plane with me, her aunt and uncle were at my door. One lived on the opposite side of the country from me, and the other had just flown in from Dubai.
They had logs of all our conversations, every one of her different names, and a lot of information about me and my family.
I keep hoping I'll get the chance to see her again.
This was at a time when mobile internet hadn't caught on yet but the SMS services were at it's peak and they were cheap in our parts. Me and my then GF exchanged shit loads of SMSes.
It became kinda evident that our relationship was ending. We formalized it much later but we had already known it was headed that way.
Anyway, she shows up with a note book and asks me to check it out.
Turns out, she had hand written down every single text message that I had sent to her. That was a good 250 pages long notebook. It was Full!
I wasn't sure how to react so I jokingly said something along the lines of 'This is...weird, are you going to use this as evidence in some way?"
She got pissed and tore apart the entire book in my face. I don't know why, it was something about the way she did that got me pissed. I got up and left.
We meet again later and turns out she had re-written the whole thing and asked me to keep the revised version.
I declined politely this time. She messages me a year later that she tore the revised notebook.
I liked this girl. Good start, right? We'll call her Jenny.
So we were in high school, and I knew that she had a thing for me. I had a thing for her too, she's pretty hot, but problem was, her ex bf was my best friend. We'll call him Jimmy. So she used to date Jimmy, and I mean bro code, so no can do.
So I ignore it, but guess what should happen? Jimmy ends up telling me one day that he asked my ex (with whom I was hung up over for roughly 3 years before finally getting over... We'll call her Janice.) on a date. Not being the type of guy to pick fights I gritted my teeth and said "hey, good for you, man!".
Well, I was kind of miserable about them, but the side effect was that me and Jenny started talking a lot more. A lot more. Like we'd give each other long, definitely-more-than-friends hugs every time we saw each other, and all the usual high school flirtation strategies.
So Jenny and I were hitting it off pretty well as more-than-friends-but-not-quite-"friendly"-friends-yet, and it was a good time for me, but remember how I said I wasn't the type to pick fights? Well that demeanor comes bundled with the package of "never take initiative for anything, ever". So as you may guess, I never asked Jenny out. I never did anything besides give her a hug and have our usual conversations. So Christmas break rolls around, and that's all merry, but once school started back up, I noticed Jenny didn't talk to me. I said hi, she said hi, but no hugs, no conversation, no long meaningful eye contact... I wondered what had happened. Well actually I had figured it out pretty quick, it's what happened to every single girl I got even kinda involved with in HS, I pushed them away because they thought I wasn't interested in them. Like I said, I never took initiative. So Jenny is platonic status towards me now, and since I never stand up and fix problems, I let this situation fester and get worse, until the point where we never even made eye contact anymore.
Well, that's good and all, but problem was, I still carried my feelings for her. So, with the only form of action I could take being passive, I decide to chance a run-in with her in the hallway. I scope out her classes (wasn't hard since we had walked to all of each others classes the semester before), and find a place to intersect our paths. I figured if I did that and she saw me, she would initiate the conversation and be flirty so I wouldn't have to do it. Sounds realistic, right?
Well this carried on for more than just one day. In fact, it carried on for three months. Almost every day I would pass Jenny in the hallway, pretending I didn't notice her, hoping she would say hi. I skipped some days just to not overdo it. It became so bad that sometimes I actually ended up waiting an hour and a half after school and would make up an excuse to be there for when she got out of her musical rehearsal. I would follow her tweets on what she was doing and chance a meeting there, I would "accidentally" text her deep and thought-provoking messages that made me sound mysterious.
Yes. I was basically stalking this girl, and she knew it.
How did she know it? Because one April day of some year, I was crossing paths with her during one of my chance encounters. It was one of my two paths that I actually had to go way out of my way to see her. Turns out, Jenny had done her research and found out that I didn't need to be walking anywhere close to where I was, especially not for three months. Her class was on the top floor of our school, the arts and crafts hallway that only had two active classes that year, one of which was at the very beginning of the school day, and I had no art classes. So why was I there? We passed each other in the crowded hallway. Just as we got to the point where we would leave each other's peripherals, I took a glance, sure that she wouldn't notice me looking at her. I noticed that her face was turning towards me. I quickly glanced forward, intent on keeping me calm-and-collecte
Story #1 - In Year 8, before the time of texting, a boy who liked me gave a girl on my bus a letter for me.
It was a letter confessing his love for me.
Written entirely in 50 Cent lyrics.
The closing line being - "I luv ya like a fat kid luv cake, you no my style ill say anything to make ya smile :)". Story #2 -. When I was in highschool, I was in Spanish class with a girl who had a crush on me. I loved this class because I had it with a few friends and the teacher was cool and I made a lot of jokes - I was unpopular until my Junior year so this was all new to me.
So, one day, I went to class and was joking around and Spanishing it all up like I typically did. Then this girl who I had talked to but wasn't really friends with had a note passed to me. She sat across the room, so like a dozen people were involved in passing this note to me. I opened the folded paper and read, "Are you going to see the new Star Wars movie?". I had seen the old ones but wasn't really interested in them that much (I've rewatched them since then and love them). But at this point I didn't like the movies so I said, "No!", and gave her a look like she was stupid for even asking me such a ridiculous question.
Everyone looked at her and apparently knew what was going on. She kinda slumped down in her chair and said, "nevermind," really sheepishly.
It wasn't until after college that I figured out that she was trying to ask me out on a date and I rejected her in front of the entire class. I feel horrible now. I totally would have gone with her, she was pretty cool. Ladies, you have to spoon feed us when you're interested!
Story #1 - Answering this seriously: I'm 19 and had a crush on a girl I play frisbee with for a solid year. She invited me to her bible study and a couple weeks later she was going to start up HS again. So the night before she started school again at bible study, I was going to say something, but I chickened out.
Driving away, I was just like "Screw this, I'm just going to tell her how I feel and get it over with." So I texted her asking if she would meet me outside her house in 10 minutes, and she was confused as I had just left but agreed.
10 minutes later I walked up to her and said "Hey, I know you have a busy life, but I'm going to regret it if I don't tell ya this. You're a really incredible person, and I really like ya. You don't havta feel the same, but if you're intristed I'd love to do something with ya and get to know you better."
Turns out she had feelings for me too. This was about 2 months ago, and right now I'm looking at a cut on my hand I got from playfully wrestling her into a pink beanie just a few hours ago.
You could say things turned out well. Story #2 - I was in grade 9, same as her. She was one of the popular girls, and I was a socially awkward long-haired guy who
played in a shiity local metal band.
We've been hanging around within a group of friends on and off for a couple of months before I gathered all my courage and confessed my feelings to her. She said she knew that already, because apparently I wasn't good at hiding my affection towards her, and then there was the classic "I love you as a friend" line. I died inside a little, decided to
pretend the conversation never happened.
About a week later she started texting me at nights about random things, from the movie she'd like to see to the fact that her dad was beating her up. I happily supported her, sometimes those conversations lasted until morning, but obviously I didn't care about sleep. On more than one occasion I asked her out to see movies she mentioned, visit places she wanted to, etc. She always turned me down.
This weird relationship continued for another year. One night, during one of these nightly chats, she texts: "My parents are leaving town next weekend. You wanna come over?" Of course, I agreed, we used to throw parties all the time back then, and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Then she replied: "I mean only you. I want to spend a night with you". I was freaking petrified. This came completely out of nowhere to me. I still remember how I heard my heartbeat in the back of my ears. I collected myself, and after a short further conversation, agreed to come to her place on the weekend.
Sure enough, we started making out, then we ended up losing our virginity to each other. I felt happy beyond words. completely lost my mind. The next day she left after her parents for a vacation. It took me almost a year to get over her. In the end I would like to leave you with a quote, " Love is just a friendship that has caught fire."
Story #1 - Moved to a new school in 7th grade and was doing fine-making friends, good grades. Then somehow ran afoul of this bigger kid (he'd been held back a few times). Typical bully-pushed little kids into lockers, loved to torment girls and ran with a pack of acolytes who adored and aped him. In Texas at the time, if a kid didn't like you, he "called you out" (challenged you to a fight after school). Well, "Zed" calls me out one day, because I was a "* from New York." Clueless me (moved there from said NY. where people are civilized), I said, "Sure, ok."
A few days later, in front of his acolytes and a small group of my friends, he proceeds to beat the crap out of me. It was 7th grade, so the damage wasn't excessive-mostly to my pride. Spent the rest of middle school known as one of the guys "Zed beat the crap out of.
Fast forward about seven years, home from college and going to the grocery store for mom. Who should I see bagging my goodies but Zed. Taking a look at him, I see a horrible scar running from the top of his head down around the back of his skull and neck and under his shirt. His face lights up when he sees me, and he says, in slightly slurred speech, "Hey! Didn't we go to school together? We're friends from school, right?" He walks with me out to the parking lot, and as we walk I learn that he had been hit by a car in high school while biking home one day. Accident required a half-dozen surgeries and had left Zed mentally impaired and a completely different person.
He put my stuff in the car, shook my hand for a good 30 seconds and kept asking me to "come back and see me sometime!" I had hated few people in my life to that point, and no one more than him. Almost cried driving home, I felt so bad for him and disgusted with myself for my previous hatred. Story #2 In grade 10, my locker was next to that of one of the most popular guys in school. I was not so popular. When both at our lockers, he would regularly whisper close to my face that I was a stupid s*** and that he was going to rape me. Fast forward 4 years at a party, he shows up. Out of morbid curiosity. I speak to him. He started hitting on me, obviously not recognizing who I was. I laughed and said loud enough for everyone around us to hear "I'm not going to frick you, especially after you threatened to rape me almost ever day of grade 10!". He was horrified. I smiled and walked away.
Story #1 - Ours was extremely smart and very athletic, he was an incredible wrestler and undefeated throughout highschool. I saw him at a party at a friend's house randomly and we caught eyes a few times and eventually we just approached each other and said hello, exchanged bro hugs. Mind you, we hardly talked. The only time we really did was when I told him to stop picking on someone and told me he would kick my butt instead. He was a lovely guy.
Anyway, he hadn't changed one bit. He tried to pick fights with people throughout the night and kept looking at me while he was in yelling matches with people. So I kept getting in between him and the other person telling them both to calm down. This happened a few times until it started getting a little physical and he looked at me again. So I stood up and he tried to push the quy one more time, so I grabbed him by his shoulders and started pushing him back telling him to cool it and I thought "What the frick am I doing... He is an angry wrestler that can take me down..." Once I got him back a ways and told him to knock it off he just looked at me and said "You know what I could do to that guy, but I don't want to. Please, stop me."
It was the saddest "HOLD ME BACK BRO" moment I have ever been a part of. It was odd that he kept looking for me to stop his fights, but I was glad I was that guy for a bit. Anger is the fire of Ego that burns all the beauties of heart and soul. Story #2 -. When I was a kid, I was fat. I used to get picked on all the time by this kid at church named Rusty. He was about five years older
than me and every couple of weeks he would beat me up. I moved away when I was about 14, and thankfully. I didn't have to deal with him anymore.
When I went to college, I decided to get my act together and get healthy. To that end. I started taking mixed martial arts. I did it for about two years and lost about 40 pounds.
When I graduated, I moved back to where I was from and started looking for a new MMA gym. I went to the most reputable one. and who should be there, but Rusty. It sounds too good to be true, but I swear to God, it happened. He hadn't changed a bit. The first thing he said to me was "Finally trying to learn to defend yourself, huh?"
I had called ahead and the instructor knew my deal and had arranged for me to come watch. I left my gear in the car. At the end of class, they do free rolling, Ju Jitsu sparring. Rusty comes up to me, having no knowledge that I am the least bit experienced, and starts begging the instructor to let him spar me, so he can show me the ropes". After all, he's been in MMA for three months now. AND he never misses a UFC pay-per
view. I went outside and changed. Long story short, we sparred, and I choked him out three times. Afterwards, I signed up for classes, he grabbed his bag, left, and never came back.
This is my favorite story out of everything that has happened in my life thus far. I'm the only person I know that got to beat up my childhood bully as an adult. Revenge is the sweet dish best served with surprise.
Story #1 -. I was working in a video rental store in Houston, circa 1989, about two years after I graduated high school. In comes a girl that had always been awful to me from 10th grade to graduation. She would cross a room just to say something mean, and I had no history with this girl at all. I had never actually said a word to her, all our exchanges were just her saying something mean to me. I didn't even know her last name. I must have reminded her of someone...She comes into the store and sheepishly said that she wanted 3 dirty movies. She didn't seem to remember me. She said her best friend was getting married and she wanted some dirty movies for the bachelorette party. The shop had a small 'adult' room that you had to access by coming behind the counter. but she didn't want to go in there. She asked me to select three films. She was squirming with embarrassment as I tried to find out what she was into and kind of acted like I thought the films were for her and her alone. She said, just grab three good ones. I don't care... So I selected three all lesbian p's and she slunk out with them. I would have loved to see the look on their faces when they popped those tapes in. She returned them thru the night drop so she wouldn't have to look anyone in the eye when she brought them back. She rented on her parents account. I sent a notice thru the mail to her parents that Mona's Three Way c Party had been returned damaged and they owed us 30 dollars. Story #2 -. This one is a classic.
This girl used to torment me all through high school and middle school. Really went out of her way to tear me down. Whenever we had a class together, she would make her extreme dislike for me apparent and, of course, other kids followed. I couldn't open my mouth without some kind of ridicule. Of course I was miserable, and my dad would try to cheer me up. "Don't worry kiddo. one day she'll be working at a McDonalds and serving you fries." He actually referred to her as McDonalds for years. A couple years after graduating high school I went to a Hardee's with my dad. And there was McDonalds behind the counter. So I
go up to place my order and before I finish she says, "you don't remember me, do you?" "Oh, I remember you."
"Oh... so, would you like fries with that?" Way to go, dad. Called it 9 years in advance.
Story #1 -. This crazy, hilarious coincidence that turned a kinda lame prank into a legendary one that I'll never forget. I hope someone else on Reddit can finally appreciate this story.
Me and a friend in high school snuck around a third friend during lunch one day sneaking photos of him from different angles and then texting him creepy messages with the photo like "I'm watching you" and "I can smell you from here" and "youre so cute im getting closer". Each time we'd send the message and run somewhere else and watch his reaction, trying to find his stalker.
The last picture we took was from a window overlooking him sitting in a courtyard. We sent the picture with another creepy message and watched from the edges of the window, giggling like school girls (we're guys).
Just as our friend starts trying to look up to the window to see who was taking the pictures, a random chubby guy walked up the stairwell where we were hiding and saw us giggling and peeking out the window.
This guy was not in high school, he looked at least 20 and I'd never seen him in my life. No idea why he was there, but this glorious mother** walks up to the window, looks down to our friend staring up at him, and then decides to lift up his shirt, rub his hairy nipples and stick his tongue out at him.
He then lowered his shirt and continued his walk up the stairwell, never to be seen again. Story #3-. In school we had an English teacher who was close to retirement & had really poor eyesight.
A mate started the lesson on the right side of the classroom & managed to shuffle both himself & his desk to the back of the room and then over to the left.
He then managed to climb through the window, sauntered round the building, came back into the room & apologised for being late. He did all that not to leave but to see if he could. It's not about skipping school, it's about sending a message. After this incidence I don't know how many people must have tried to see if they could enter LATE in that teacher's class.
Stroy #1 -. Not one student, but all seniors.
It was customary at our school that on a hot day near the end of the year, seniors would start a water balloon fight. It was usually quite small and the teachers were used to it, so they could put a stop to it quickly. Not this time though.
We had been dropping hints here and there for several days/ weeks beforehand: talking about it in hallways, within earshot
of teachers. Leaving behind (empty) balloons. Etc. The day before the actual attack, after school hours, we brought thousands of balloons to the school and a good 10-20 people started filling them at water fountains and in the tollets. We kept them in big buckets (filled with water so the balloons wouldn't burst) and hid them in the bushes around the school.
The day of the attack, we had some mock maneuvers: groups of people would suddenly start running towards the school entrance, the toilets, the principal office. Teachers would be *running to stop us, only for nothing to happen.
Then came the actual attack: everyone suddenly ran into the bushes, grabbed the buckets and started unleashing hell on the other kids. The teachers closed in, trying to destroy our balloons, but there were just so many, they couldn't get rid of them. Everyone was soaking wet after...
The most legendary thing though wasn't the number of balloons or the planning of the attack - It was the fact that each and every senior participated in that: buying balloons, bringing buckets, filling balloons, etc. Everyone did something. Despite all the high school drama, we managed to all come together for this epic prank. Story #2 -. We are trying to enter a class, Teacher tries to open the door, it does not move.
Teacher says he'll ask the maintenance dudes to help open it.
While he's away, dude tries to force the door open. Instead falls through the door, as he just creates a hole. Doing so, It does however open the door.
Teacher comes back without maintenance guy.
Teacher blanks for a moment, then says "Thanks for opening the door. I'll need to know who to thank." No one answers, but only one dude has pieces of wood in his hair, so he got caught. Mess with the bull and you will only get horns. The world is an imperfect place. Screws fall out all the time.
Story #1 - My friend once was pissed off at the rest of us guys(5 of us). He chased us into the bathroom because he wanted to be a tough guy and thought one of us was hiding in a stall. He says "peekaboo I see you!" And kicks the stall door in on a teacher we all knew, taking a crap. The teacher said "I see you too Nathan, now close the door." I will die the day I forget about that. The teacher's response was legendary. Honestly, what do you do at this point? Invite them over for a cup of tea or to play a musical chair's game? Basically our friend tried to chase us to beat the shit out of us but maybe he did that to our teacher. Story #2 -. Maybe not legendary, but an interesting (and funny) experiment.
There were three high schools in my home town. Two of them, both named after famous historical figures of said town, were in a sort of rivalry with each other nothing serious, but the students would casually trash talk the other school a lot, mostly in good fun.
Each school had a display case with a bust of their respective historical namesake somewhere in the building. They were just some decoration, object that you would pass by every single day and pay little attention to. So we figured we'd test how little attention people actually paid these things.
So one night, a few buddies of mine and I got together. Most of us were from my school, but we had a few "inside men" from the other one as well. We split up into two teams, got access to both buildings simultaniously, picked open the very cheap locks on the display cases, grabbed the busts and switched them. Keep in mind, these schools were not that close to one another, and none of us had been old enough to drive at that point, so we had to carry these fucking limestone busts through half the town. We then locked the busts into the display cases again and left. We had managed completely non-destructive entry to both schools, so nobody ever found out.
It took almost an entire school year for anyone to notice. To this day, no teacher has ever found out who was reponsible. But no damage was done, so they didn't try too hard to figure it out. Stroy #3 -. This kid once brought a backpack full, and I mean completely full of marbles to school. He went to the main staircase near the front up the third floor and dumped the whole bag over the stairwell. How those marbles didn't break the glass trophy case at the bottom is beyond me but marbles went everywhere. Surprisingly he never got caught. He either managed to run to one of the stairwells at the end of the hall and get to the bottom before teachers had time to react or he hid somewhere until the first bell rang. Ok, this sound ls like an Ok Go music video.I mean it could be, idk anything about that group. This happened back in like 2005. Kid went on to disgrace himself and be sentenced 16 years in prison for military espionage....so. Maybe he still blames it on losing his marbles.
Story 1 - There was a stone cold gourmet chef from Apulia. Italy that owned a bunch of restaurants in NJ then moved to Panama City Beach, FL to "retire" (meaning working 6 12 hour shifts a week instead of 7) The food was amazing, but the waitresses were your typical waffle house gals. "Our spechal today is the G-nokki Gorgonzoola" stuff like that.
I was bartending on the weekends and my Friend Rachel was at the bar drinking wine and we were talking. This guy having dinner with his wife, kids, parents and in-laws comes to the bar and starts flirting with her. He's been drinking. He offers her a shot of top shelf vodka, She reluctantly accepts. $7. She drinks it and thanks him.
He goes back to the table and after a few minutes motions to give her another shot. She says she doesn't want it, so I pour her a shot of water. She lifts the glass. lifts it towards him and downs it. Few minutes later, he motions for another. Another $7 shot of water. She lifts it and then leaves in on the bar.
The table finishes their dinner, load up the kids and old folks into the van, and the man comes back in and leans against the bar
and starts flirting. The wife comes in and touches his shoulder. "Herb, let's go, we're waiting. He takes the shot of what he thinks is vodka, throws it full into his wife's face, she runs out completely humiliated and he turns around cool as you please as if to say "now where were we?" I mean this guy deserves a high five... High five... In the face.... With a bottle! #Story - 2. I work in a college town bar and every Wednesday our bar does liquor pitcher night where a person could get a pitcher of liquor for 5 bucks so usually people always get super trashed by the end of the night. Well one night after close we had been cleaning up the front of the bar and we here some pounding on the door and we open it up and we see this drunk girl coming running in saying that we stole her wallet. so after we calm her down and look around for our wallet one of the bar backs decides to check the bathrooms and ends up finding a drunk chick just asleep on the bathroom floor which is always nasty at the end of the night. So the chick wakes up just starts walking out of the bar and the girl that was in there that was looking for her wallet says thanks you found her and they leave. so if we see that girl come in the bar again we call her wallet.
Story #1 Clean her tongue. I used to be a bar manager. One of my youngest bartenders notices a guy slobbering all over some girl...I mean really cleaning each other's tongues. Dude walks up to the bar and orders a drink. Young bartender says to him" Hey. I wouldn't be making out with that girl if I were you...". Douchebag customers says"frick you, don't tell ME what to fricking do!" What the douchebag customer didn't know was that the girl he was making out with had just sucked off the bartenders friend in the parking lot...MINUTES before. He might have known, it may have been part of their plan. Hence why he was cleaning her tongue like a mother lion. Story #2 Nine-Quarter Nipple Band. I'm not a bartender but I saw something pretty crazy at a dive bar once. There was a trio of drunk Harley-type women at the next table.
We started talking and drinking together and eventually one of these chicks old men suggested that the "ladies" have a big nipple contest. Now I personally have never attended such a contest so I assumed that what was going to be measured was the areola. I was mistaken. The actual length of the nip itself was what this contest was about.
The unit of measurement for this contest was a stack of quarters. Boobs were taken out, nips were compared, three quarters. four quarters, ect. Suddenly I saw a sight that I can never unsee the winner of this contest-NINE quarters long! They were like tiny penii! The sight sobered me up and I never want to see another big nipple contest as long as I live. Although I think Nine-Quarter Nipple should be the name of a band.
