The Banking, Finance Services and Investment sector is a very big part of the economy, and is very implicative in our day-to-day life. A sector so investable and profitable, that it accounts for around 30% of the NIFTY Index. Additionally, the sector, being as big as it is, was projected to be adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. But, in hindsight, the loss to the corporations wasn't as big as was expected in relative terms, while some corporations even gaining a bit. Taking inspiration from this factor, we discuss about the current status of the BFSI sector in India and what lies ahead for it in the future. Tackling questions related to equity, penetration, trust and ramifications of the Union Budget '21, we try to provide laymen insights into the sector's operation and growth.
