Musings of all the places my heart has been and desires to go.
My name is Tanya Cooper and I appreciate you joining me on my virgin journey of podcasting. I hope to create a space to share stories of revelation, about myself, the world around me, the people I encounter and how God enters into all of it.
Listen to the story of a hardworking, single mom, raising a family and taking care of her parents who made one singular decision that changed the course of history...both hers and ours.

Few women are mentioned in the Bible and even fewer have their own story. Abigail goes from being the wife of a mean, stingy, wealthy landowner to being the wife of a king. She's sharp, shrewd, AND submissive.

2 women make a decision that changed the course of their lives. Did you know that Rahab was a prostitute? Of course you did. Did you know that Ruth married Boaz? Well, everyone knows that. But did you know that both of these biblical outcasts are related?

Do you suffer from
or any number of ongoing issues? Then you can be considered as suffering from PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD is defined as a disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. If you find this is true for you like I do, know that this is the very nature of PTSD. The effects of a traumatizing experience can last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions in just seconds. But the Good news is God delivers, vindicates and gives joy, and because He does, we can lie down and sleep in peace. Psalm 4:1, 7-8.

One of my favorite vocalists is Adele. Her voice is unbelievable and her lyrics seem to touch the very points of my life and one of the things I like to do with some of my absolute favorite songs is put them on repeat so they play multiple times and I get to hear the same vocals, the same lyrics, the same melody over and over and over. But it occurred to me that many of us do just that, sing songs according to our mood, situation, or preference and that’s perfectly fine. But sometimes we may need a change.

Have you ever had a neighbor you just didn't know what to do with? Well, I don't. I knew exactly what to do with them, their kids, their toys, their dog and the rest of the gang that became interlopers on my property. Funny thing is, God had other plans.

How many DIYers do I have watching right now? Yeah, me too. I’m a novice do-it-yourself’er but I'm single so DIYing pretty much comes with the territory. I haul and move furniture (yes up and down stairs), fix toilets, shovel snow, cut grass, rake rocks, lay vinyl flooring (although that turned out a little janky, but🤷🏾♀️) and I take out the trash.
I don't do it all but that hasn't stopped me from trying my hand at most things.
The question is why. Why do I DIY? I bet you'd be surprised at the answers.

It's the beginning of the new decade (2020) and the whole world seems like (or probably is) quarantined because of COVID19 (aka coronavirus).

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. I will be with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. That message is found in various places throughout the Bible. But, let's be real. He kinda did leave us, didn't He?

Unable to distinguish between the enemy and our true identity, we sift through pages and pages of illustrated comparison, matching skin to skin feeding on it til we’re choking within, regurgitating its contents into our souls. Eventually leaving us lifeless and cold.
