The PharmRx Podcast: Recent Episodes

Dr. Ekiomoado Esekhaigbe

According to statistics, anxiety is the most prevalent mental health disorder globally. 2017 estimates show that around 284 million people worldwide have experienced an anxiety disorder. This podcast explores the intersection between transdermal drug delivery and mental health disorders, with a core focus on anxiety. Past research and studies on possible treatments for mental health disorders, particularly general anxiety disorder have failed to adequately consider the potential of transdermal delivery as a viable line of therapy. I am currently conducting a study to fill in this research gap and shed more light on the clinical effectiveness of this line of therapy. With each episode, we will be featuring young professionals across different walks of life who share their experience with mental health issues and the perceived benefits of transdermal drug delivery in alleviating their mental health struggles. Expect new episodes weekly! Thanks for listening and I hope you learn a thing or two about the topic!
