Kate Cliff wasn't always a meditation teacher.

In a former life, she was a lawyer. Working hard, ticking boxes, and climbing the corporate ladder.

Her body was begging her to slow down and stop. But she wasn't listening. Until she had no choice...

Kate was crossing the street in the city after a long day at work when she was struck by a taxi at 60km/hr. She was dragged before finally coming to a stop and hitting her head on the road.

It's a miracle Kate survived. But it wasn't without severe, life-threatening and life-changing injuries.

She had brain damage, spinal damage and severe PTSD.

But during her rehab, there was one missing piece that completely changed her life.

Meditation was the piece of the puzzle that began to heal her, from the inside out.

Now, she's a meditation teacher and shares the gift of meditation and mindfulness with hundreds of people across the world.

Here is Kate's extraordinary story.

Sophie Allen's fitness journey started ten years ago, posting photos and videos of her results to a moderate group of followers.

Today, Sophie runs her own fitness company and posts regularly to over 400,000 people on her social media platforms.

She's learnt a lot in her ten years on social media, which has come with its ups and downs.

After competing in a body building competition, Sophie struggled post-comp like many competitors and became locked in a deficit and fat loss cycle.

Her need to stay 'lean' all year round resulted in some health problems which she was forced to confront, all the while in front of her growing social media following.

Soph's platform has become a welcoming community where she can share vulnerably and honestly about the struggles in her life. She's opened up about weight gain, acne, and how to heal from a heartbreak.

We speak to Soph all about her fitness journey, her struggles with body image, managing pressures online and how to heal a broken heart.

Once upon a time, Amanda Goff was known by a different name.

Samantha X.

Samantha X was Amanda's alter ego. It was a persona she played as Australia's highest paid and most famous escort.

Amanda decided to try sex work on for size in her late thirties. Formerly a journalist, she stumbled across the adult industry when she was writing a story on strippers.

Something about it intrigued her deeply and she decided it was time to give it a try.

After many years in the industry, working her way up to becoming Australia's highest paid and most famous escort, she has recently hung up the heels and retired.

She learned many lessons along the way and in this episode, we delve into what her 'first time' was like, how she set boundaries as 'Samantha', why she stepped away from the adult industry and why she's sober now.

It's likely that at some stage in your life you have experienced heartbreak.

And if you haven't, well, you are one of the lucky few amongst us.

In the depth of my heartbreak, I was reeling. I was lost, isolated, confused, angry and deeply sad.

So, in the depths of my grief, I started researching, reading and learning as much as possible about what I was experiencing. But I couldn't find any scientists or experts who could explain what my body and brain was going through.

Every podcast felt annoyingly positive and unhelpful.

'See this as an opportunity!' they said.
'Think about the positives,' they said.

I didn't want to think positive thoughts or look on the fu*king bright side. I just wanted to understand why this was happening to me.

I thought I was the only person on the planet who had ever felt this way.

Well, turns out I'm not. Heartbreak, and the grief that comes with it, is a universal human experience.

I speak to neuropsychologist Dr Hannah Korrel about what happens to your body when you have your heart broken, and how to start the healing process.

You may recognise Mikey Pembroke from one of Australia's most popular shows, Married at First Sight.

Mikey decided to try his luck on the reality TV program, at a time in his life when he needed a bit of a shake up. His life was going well. He had a stable job, good mates, and was comfortable. But he was ready for something different, that pushed him out of his comfort zone.

Unfortunately, the show didn't do Mikey justice in revealing how complex, motivated and intelligent he is.

Recently, Mikey signed up for his first MMA fight. Again, to push himself out of his comfort zone. But this time, in a physically brutal way.

In this episode, Mikey and I delve into what reality TV is like, how and why he confronted his love of gambling, and his motivation behind signing up for his first MMA fight...

Student dietician and personal trainer Lucy McConnell is shaking up the fitness industry.

Instead of peddling old and tired messages of diet culture, she's determined to support women and girls in healing their relationship with their bodies, food and exercise.

She's a breath of fresh air on Instagram, and that's how I first came across her. I connected to her content instantly.

Lucy's journey into the fitness industry was a rocky one. She used exercise, like many of us did, as a way to bow to an aesthetic ideal. She ate restrictively, lost her period twice, and was extremely unhappy.

Lucy talks to me about how she healed her relationship with food and exercise and how she manages bad body image days.

We delve into Dylan's past, unlocking some of his fundamental insecurities and unpacking his once toxic and problematic relationship with women.

Damien Thomlinson is a special kind of person. He's the kind of person who, when he talks, you lean a little closer to hear what he has to say.
Damien joined the army after becoming inspired by his grandfather, who served his country. But Damien didn't just join the army. He wanted to be the best of the best.
So he became a commando, taking on one of the toughest, and most dangerous jobs, in the country.
While stationed overseas in Afghanistan, Damien was victim to an IED blast, which claimed both his legs. He only remembers bits from that day and his memories have been pieced together through the stories of the heroes serving next to him.
Damien's resilience is second-to-none and it's an honour to share this conversation.
