In this episode, we're talking about how to get through these feelings of inadequacy, regardless how they originate- from rejection, childhood experiences, hurtful relationships, and so on.
I encourage you guys to bring God in on your inadequacies (whatever you think they might be), so He can remind you of your worth and the good things He wants to do through YOU!

The title says it all! This one's all about forgiveness and why it's truly the best thing for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Before you get scared thinking this will just try to shame you into forgiving hurtful people, just remember that forgiveness doesn't always require the restoration of a toxic or unproductive relationship/friendship, etc.
I'm here to remind you to not let the hurtful actions of others keep YOU from the grace of God. Life is meant for living in the present and not hanging onto the past, even if we have every reason in the world to hold that grudge. I hope this one helps you - xoxo, bri

Friends! We did it- almost 1 whole year together!!! For our 20th episode, I've kept it simple and to the point- some of the lessons I learned in 2022, and what to focus on going into this brand new year! Come hang out with me and see how many of the same lessons you learned, too, because let's be honest- this year's been a doozy! ;)
And as we go into 2023, I encourage everyone (including myself) to have a little more - well, actually a LOT more- faith -- faith in God, faith in ourselves and the plan God has for our lives, faith that the hard work and time we’ve invested in learning, growing, and becoming better people will be worth it VERY soon! It’s only through action that we receive the benefits of a growing faith - so let’s not just get some faith, let’s keep that faith and build on it! I have a feeling 2023 is gonna be a great one! <3

Sorry to say it, but anger is inevitable, friends. In this episode, I'm talking all about how being angry isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's HOW we express it and for how long that can be the kicker. I share some personal stories, where I talk all about my own struggles w/ anger (shocker, I know), and tips on how to manage the intense emotion and even 'pre-game' for it before we reach that point.
Remember- the goal is not to never be angry; it’s learning how to identify, cope with, and take steps to maybe avoid it - for the betterment of your physical, emotional, and mental health. Giving that anger to God and choosing peace allows Him to take the burden of vengeance away that we were never meant to carry. It's all about controlling the anger before it controls you, and trusting God with the details that we can't handle on our own!

Hi friends! The topic of the day- our 'purpose'... we woke up today, and that means we have a God-given purpose and that He’s not done with us yet, right?! But sometimes, that can seem like a lot of pressure to find and fulfill that one specific purpose. Enter today's episode- all about the what, why, and HOW of finding your purpose, and how it's really not as complicated as we think!
My question to you is this- why not be the one used to make an impact TODAY, despite feeling not good enough or not ready?! It’s simple: love God, and love those He puts in front of you, as best you can, as much as you can. In this episode, we tackle the stigma surrounding the elusive 'purpose', and how most of the time, it's as simple as being light wherever you land and capitalizing on opportunities to make an impact on a daily basis, and NOT just when you reach that 'purpose'! Remember- sometimes finding your 'lifelong purpose' can mean making an impact TODAY!

Whether we do it to ourselves or it gets triggered from outside influence, anxiety is pretty much unavoidable - unfortunately! But...
what people don’t always realize is that anxiety, worry, and stress wreak so much havoc on us- mentally, emotionally, and even physically! The good news-- we are NOT destined or designed to live with anxiety, stress, or worry. Anxiety is a SIGNAL that something's wrong, NOT a state of mind we're doomed to live in.
In this episode, I share relatable tips and practices to implement that will naturally help to fight against the negative effects of anxiety. With some personal stories along the way and even some of my own mistakes, you’ll get to know anxious Bri a little better. It’s time to take control of your thought life, and rest in the promise that God will give us "perfect peace", as long as we’re focused on Him!

No matter what walk of life you come from - if you identify as a Christian or even if you're just on the outside looking in and not yet convinced that this Jesus stuff is worth it- I can promise you that an authentic life NOT concerned with others’ approval is the way to go!

We all know the saying- life’s too short to have regrets. But think about it: if life was over tomorrow, what are the things that you KNOW you’d regret not doing, not saying? Life. is. too. short. Love people now. Make memories today! Live life while you can- don’t wait for others to make the first move. Make the mistakes, overcome the what ifs, and let’s do the dang thing!

Anyone else feel that life can sometimes seem like it's just piling up, and we just cannot catch a break?! And I'm talking those trials that come our way that make no sense, have no rhyme or reason, and just seem unfair. In this episode, I share some of the things that will help make the 'uncomfortableness' a little more bearable, and redirect your focus off the uncontrollable and onto the potential that these tough times can bring!
The fact is- we can't let the trials define us, and who knows- our trials might inspire us to become the person that will go on to help so many others. So, in the midst of those moments where we 'can't catch a break', take a deep breath, call your mom or a trusted friend, and remember that God never meant for us to face these seemingly never-ending hard times without Him! Remember- God can take the stones thrown at us with evil intent (trials, hard times, unfair circumstances), and turn them into the bedrock of His good plans for our lives!

Okay friends, I don't know about you, but this is by far one of my biggest life struggles - comparison! And if this resonates with you at all - the need to quit comparing and feeling 'not good enough' - then you're in the right spot. Even though our best may not be the right fit for a person, position, opportunity, etc., God promised He'd be our sufficiency, and I'm confident He'll lead us to the right people and opportunities that ARE the perfect match - no comparing or people pleasing needed ;)
Remember friends, a fire not fed WILL die out, so the more we fight against those negative thoughts, the easier it will be to overcome these habits! It's time to ditch the people pleasing and comparing, and live out the unique purpose God has for each of us!
P.S.-Friendly reminder- if you wouldn't sit there saying or thinking it about your own friends, stop saying it about yourself!

Hey friends! So, this one definitely hits a little close to home, but I'm so glad I walked into a random bookstore and got the inspiration for it (thanks Mother Teresa- gotta listen to find out)!
But honestly, that thing that God's put on your heart - even if it's small in your own eyes - I encourage you to do it anyway. Do it despite the potential for risk, do it even though it comes with criticism, do it small or scared! Never forget that God's provision is enough for each one of us, and you playing small will benefit NO ONE! So whatever your "it" may be, go do it anyway - consider this your official sign and call to action. Today’s episode is all about the comfort zone- what it is, how to know it's time to get out of it, and what that can look like. I share some personal confessions and truths about what I’ve learned from making moves to ditch my own comfort zone, and about how and why to tap into our God-given potential. I hope this helps you find the motivation and drive to step out of your own comfort zone in whatever area - friendships, careers, mindsets - and pursue the identity and purpose that God has for you!

It's finally HEERREE - the first episode! This is a little different than most first episodes, but I really wanted to give you guys the 'why' behind this podcast, and why I would give it such a contradicting title! I know 'embracing the uncomfortable' seems like an oxymoron, but here I'll explain all the benefits that can come from this mindset shift and a little about how I even got to that point myself. Plus, you'll get to hear many of my flaws right out the gate, mainly being the amount of times I can say the word "um" in a short period of time! But in all seriousness, I hope this helps set a foundation for being able to see what God can be doing when our life is at its most uncomfortable, and how we can truly find purpose and growth opportunities from it all! Welcome to Embracing the Uncomfortable - finally! If there's one thing that I've learned over the last few years, it's most definitely that life can be uncomfortable.
Sometimes it's painfully uncomfortable, other times it's just hilariously uncomfortable, but the biggest thing I've learned through all of the emotions is that these seasons of life can be so beneficial! After all, when God wants you to grow, He tends to make us... you guessed it - uncomfortable!
This is going to be a podcast all about life - I’ll be the one to talk all about the things that nobody wants to talk about or share, maybe too embarrassing, or maybe too insecure. I firmly believe that the things that make us uncomfortable are the very things that can offer the biggest opportunities for growth. And I, for one, intend on taking full advantage, along with offering you a glimpse into my own real, raw, & quite often comedic experiences!
Come hang out as I sprinkle some Jesus, a little humor, and hopefully a few helpful & relatable reminders into the uncomfortableness that can be life. You can either laugh with me, laugh at me, agree with me, or none of the above… as I share some of the many lessons that God has taught me over the past couple years - but especially when I was at my MOST uncomfortable. So, cheers to whatever is in your glass, and I am so looking forward to you joining me on this journey — it’s gonna be so much fun!
