Mystifyingly missing? Is a podcast that will explore both solved and unsolved, both famous and not so famous disappearances and true crime cases. We will explore why some cases make headlines, while others are pushed aside. We will look at why the memory and legacy of some events endure while other disappearances are forgotten. We willl also look at media, and see if or how they impacted the investigation, and whether they hurt or hindered the case. We will also explore overshadowed events, odd coincidences and anything else that can make you make use of your "little gray cells."

Today we will cover the second half of a case in the disappearance of Christine Sheddy. Please listen to the first episode titled Buried Secrets (link here https://www.podbean.com/ep/pb-nfkn6-1377a30) This young mother was staying with her “best” friend and disappeared, seemingly into nowhere. Her mother, her biggest champion, never gave up. The search was marred by information found in Christine’s Diary as well as the preconceptions of at least one detective according to Christine’s mother. The answer to Christine's disappearance came to light because one the perpetrators felt a strong sense of fatherly love for his daughter, but did he do this to help Christine's mother or was it because he wanted to extort and use the criminal justice system for his ow wants?

Today we will cover the first half of a case in the disappearance of Christine Sheddy. This young mother was staying with her “best” friend and disappeared, seemingly into nowhere. Her mother, her biggest champion, never gave up. The search was marred by information found in Christine’s Diary as well as the preconceptions of at least one detective according to Christine’s mother.
This does include a fundraiser for the funeral for my brother George. He had quadruple bypass just before Christmas and was on his way to a Cardiac Rehab Appointment. He was stopped for a school bus that had it’s lights on and Stop Sign out. For some reason, another driver didn’t see him. The investigation is ongoing and we are not sure how insurance works in these cases, but my sister-in-law lost her best friend, I lost my hero, his kids and grandkids lost a mentor, and now my SIL needs to find a way to pay for the service. Thank you.

We will explore the cases of Keith Reinhard and Tom Young on the first episode of Mystifyingly MIssing. This case has endured, primarily due to the parallels between these two men. Tom went missing first, in 1987. Less than a year later, Keith Reinhard, a writer who had gone to tiny Silver Plume, CO for inspiration, went missing in a way similar to Young. Today, Keith Reinhard’s case is well known, but Tom Young seems to be a footnote to the case. While Tom was found, Keith is still missing. HIs family has gone over 30 years without answers. Maybe with some luck, his family can one day find the answers that they need.
