1 month into the ib and we feel like we're drowning. There are so many factors we are supposed to be on top of: grades, tests, participating in class and making yourself stand out, what major you wanna apply for, getting into a college good enough to satisfy yourself and your parents, academic validation, extracurriculars, sports, service, social life, financial situations, and the list goes on!!!!! we try our best to help guide you guys through a time that definitely is not easy and share some valuable pieces of advice (we hope:) have a listen <3
the term love yourself is thrown around a lot but it honestly means nothing when you aren't able to. unrealistic beauty standards seem to be a constant topic, one you literally write essays about in schools yet usually don't analyze its effect but instead, what type of font they've used on the ad. in this episode we dive into topics such as diet culture, working out, acceptance>body positivity, confidence, and insecurities beyond that surface level. we hope we are able to help you take that one step further from hating your body and one closer to loving it! <3
