On this episode of "Tru Crym Podcast" we discuss "The Family" cult case. This Australian cult ran from the mid 60's until the late 80's. It's leader, Anne Hamilton Byrne was a yoga teacher who believed she was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Kidnapping children, torturing them and using LSD in rituals was all a part of her plan to create the master race.

On this episode of "Tru Crym Podcast" we discuss the case of Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. In 1985, a minimal theft investigation led police to the cabin in the remote foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. When police investigate the 'Torture Cabin' they could never have imagined what they would find inside.
The duo kidnapped, tortured and murdered between 11-25 people in their "survivalist" bunker. Investigators found 40 pounds of charred human remains along with video tapes and a 250 page journal.

Sid Vicious, of the punk band The Sex Pistols and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen had such a turbulent love story that ended in tragedy for the both of them. The couple bonded over drugs and on the morning of October 12, 1978, 20 year old Nancy was found stabbed to death inside Manhattan's Chelsea Hotel. Sid was charged with Nancy's murder but died of an overdose while out on bail before his trial even began.

On this episode of "Tru Crym Podcast" we discuss the case of Victor Saucedo. Sadly, his life was taken by the hands of his ex-girlfriend Vegas Bray who just did not want to let him go. Victor and Vegas met while they both were in the navy. They dated for a short while but broke up because Vegas was incredibly jealous. Vegas began stalking and harassing Victor until she shot Victor in his Imperial Beach apartment.

On episode 13 of Tru Crym Podcast, we discuss the tragic story of 2 young boys who went out for a bike ride on March 27th, 1993 and never returned home. The ride was cut short when a sexual predator murdered them both. The case went cold for 8 years until In 2001, a DNA database found the man responsible for the crime. The killer had a gruesome past and fell through the cracks of the criminal justice system.

Elizabeth thought she had met her "white knight" after marrying Matthew Sullivan, a medic in the Navy, and moving to San Diego. They had 2 daughters but their marriage quickly turned sour. Elizabeth was seeking a divorce lawyer when she suddenly disappeared.
Almost exactly 2 years after Elizabeth went missing, her body was discovered in the bay by Liberty Station. But examiners stated her estimated time of death was only 30-60 days prior.

Reyna is an ex crime scene investigator that worked for the Chula Vista Police Department, she has also worked for the Yuma Police Department and currently works for the U.S. Secret Service managing the forensic intelligent unit.

On episode 5 of Tru Crym Podcast, we discuss the tragic case of 2 teenage girls that were brutally murdered in Torrey Pines State Beach, San Diego. These murders were committed in a similar fashion, 6 years apart.
Decades go by and both cases are cold, until new DNA technology would bring 2 suspects to light. One of the suspects is San Diego Police Department's very own.
