This write up will be short and sweet just like that dopamine kick you get off of that Halloween Candy you'll be jamming down your suck hole in a matter of weeks if not already.

Red took the summer off, just to dang busy. But he's back now and joined once again by a repeat customer Sniper Berkel. We're currently enrolled in Sober October so this wasnt our usual drink and talk and get a little carried away by the end. This was still a good chat though, talked about lots of stuff and some funny stuff to. It was good to get back behind the mic, and hope to be picking it up a little more regular again as the winter weather kicks in.

Hope all you sap suckers are doing great and had a kick ass summer.

Sit back, shut up and enjoy the latest listen of Redleaf Radio.

Good day friends,

On this episode I was joined by a new friend of mine. He was introduced to me through another friend of mine, and we started playing some music. As time progressed he found out I had a podcast, and I said hey man why dont you come on your an interesting guy. Very enjoyable night spent behind the mic. We talked alot about music, but we also talked alot about psychedelics, specifically LSD and mushrooms, and their effect on us as people, and how we perceive life. Im not very versed in that world, but Justin is, so he had a ton of knowledge to shed. It was a really enlightening convo and I hope it opens up your guys minds to the world of psychedelics and how they can positively affect your life if your willing to let them. Full disclosure this is not a recommendation. We dont condone use of drugs and alcohol on RLR. Do your own research. Im not a real doctor. But I do believe there are alot of positive benefits. Enjoy the listen.

Well gol dang, going from promising a weekly episode, to trying to deliver once a month, to actually doing it once every three months, old Red is back on the air. Man does life ever get busy when you have way to much shit going on and don't prioritize things properly. With way to much shit going on and not enough time we finally got back together in the studio to make some noise with an old acquaintance of mine. Adam Birch. He'd listened to literally one of my podcasts and then immediately begged to get on the air to promote his business. I tend to have that effect on people, and to which I was happy to oblige since my monthly listeners are about one. We talked about his start up company involving bleacher rentals, and if you need some shit trucked internationally he's your guy. Specifically bleachers but he's open to ideas. Hell he can even deliver himself when he's in the mood. We also touched on trying to become a dad in this day and age and the struggles that can come with that.

Enjoy the episode,

Red.

Hello again, and a warm welcome back to all.

This episode I was joined by two returning guests, Sniper and Skipper as well as a freshy, Teddy Brewski. Add on to that stellar lineup, we were also blessed to have our first female guests on the podcast, Melanie and Megan. This was a planned podcast with the boys, but the girls were a welcome addition. We mostly just BS'd again, touched on mortgages, banks collapsing, some Indigenous history, bears , weddings, and cannabalism. Four then became six and we talked with the girls for a little longer about diseases, pushups, and Redleaf Radio. As for friday evening mic'd conversation, it didnt disappoint. Maybe it will you guys though.

A quick note, the boys are gunning for a sober mid march to mid april, lets see how it pans out.

As always, thanks again for listening to some RedLeaf Radio. A friday night well spent.

This episode was 100% a one off. Honestly Sniper said it was just a warm up, because I had initially had plans to have skipper and the poop pumper back out as well, but things didnt work out for everyone to make it. So we made the best of a last minute decision, and decided what the hell were shooting the shit anyways, lets just turn the mics on for the hell of it.
In saying that, you can really tell. Its pretty scattered, not a whole lot of substance, alot of just drivel really. But on the flip side, there was some pretty funny shit said in certain spots which id be willing to bet would make more than a few listeners laugh out loud. Give it a listen, or pass over it. Either way is fine with old Dr. Red.

Once again ive slowed down on the amount of material im pumping out so apologies as ever for that. We're still on schedule for once a month now so hey thats something right?

Anyways, I honestly think if you did listen for a bit you would laugh. But thats just me.

Keep those chins up,

Red.

Good morning my good friends.

I hope this weekend finds you well.

This is about 3 months late, but as I mentioned last episode if you tuned in, that we (my buddy and myself) were trying to attempt a sober month. So far so good, haven't cracked yet.

This episode was a little different. I still touched on some clown world shit/ some news stuff to begin the episode, but around the 26:30 minute mark I decided to go off the rails and go into detail about going sober for the month (3 weeks so far), and how its going. Bear in mind this is just me personally, my own thoughts and opinions, and I may have gone into more detail than needed but it filled an hour of listen time so what the hell why not. Once again I dont know how many people will really relate to this but it doesn't really matter, it was more of a talk from my perspective of being substance free for the ridiculously long time of 3 weeks. If you do decide to dive in I hope you find it entertaining/ educational, or glean some new perspective on it. I said on air as well but this is not meant to be a look at me/ cocky arrogant episode, its just me talking about struggling with the brown paper bag and how its affected me not doing it. It is different for everyone and thats okay. In also saying that I went into detail about exercise and its effects on mental health, which I have definitely found positive. Ill stop writing now and maybe just listen and see for yourself. AG1 please sponsor me.

Who knows where it takes me or you but hey this life is all about making the most of it, as we dont get that much time here, and time is our most precious asset. So get your ass after it and make life your bitch! Full disclosure about this episode I am not hard as F but im trying to be not as soft as I have been. Who' walkin who.

Thanks so much again for listening, I hope you enjoy.

Once again, an extended wait for this episode. As the old adage goes there just isnt enough time in a day. Im not going to continue apologizing for the delays, drewski try his best. Best not good enough.

This was a solo episode again, just going off on the last few weeks of insanity again in the world. 3 weeks off gives you more than enough material to go on a 45 minute rant about all the things that get me fired up as well as make me laugh.

There's a multitude of things here again, from egg shortages, racist white paint, trans people claiming they own a house, almond milk, freeing drugs from tyranny, and so much more. This one was fairly "spicy" as id been away from the mic for a few weeks and was apparently a little stressed, so I let it fly on the mic.

Keep in mind this is all good fun, and once again I encourage you to listen, and if it isnt for you I encourage you to shut it off and move on. Nobodies forcing you to listen to me spout nonsense, but if you enjoy it, which I hope you do then once again sit back shut up and listen to me talk shit for 45 minutes in a low ceilinged poorly and insulated room somewhere in southern ontario.

Side note, stay tuned for some video podcasts. Not here yet, but in the works.

I know what your all thinking, a classic sports foursome story. Darned if I wish it wern't true, but alas it is not so. Old Dr. Red is a strict supporter of monogamy and would never interview someone who has dabbled in the world of underground sex prior to marriage. He dropped that line and it stuck out so I titled the episode appropriately.

All joking aside this interview was once again outstanding. Brock is a very humble and professional individual. Honestly the guy has a very positive and upbeat energy about him, and spending an hour and forty minutes talking to him I couldn't help but realize an hour and forty minutes wasn't enough. I've said this multiple times on and off air, but there is never enough time. You go into it thinking maybe we'll hit an hour and a half, meanwhile you could've done three. But that counts on people listening for three hours. Brock is a professional Baseball Player who is currently playing in Taiwan, a Godzilla if you will. He is also my brother in law. He signed with the Houston Astro's and after moving around the US in his early years decided to pursue a career in Asia where the Yuan sounded better than the USD.

As a wrap or in a nutshell we talked about his baseball career, and where that's led him to present day. I learned a ton, and im sure you will to.

Thanks again for tuning in to Redleaf Radio. I cant say it enough how much I appreciate people actually listening, as this was a pipe dream. Technically still is as I am making no money. Donations welcome.

Welcome back, to another episode of RedLeaf Radio. Today I was joined by a good friend and ex band mate, Paul Scully Malcolm. There was no bad blood, and ironically we really didn't get into the nitty gritty on the band break up, other than off air. "Still to raw" - Paul Scully Malcolm.

We get into the weeds a little on this particular episode. Scully, being the educated individual bragging about his engineering ring that he is, brought some really good discussion points to the table. Including some CPP and EI increases, TFSA's and investing, F35 fighter jet purchases by the Canadian government, and as always some bitcoin. Being that I hadnt seen paul since our other ex band mate Jakobian Reds wedding in October, it was good to catch up with a coffee and a microphone. As always I hope you guys enjoy, thanks again for listening. Shout out to the 3 average monthly listeners I have, couldn't do it without you. One of them being my sister, thanks for listening Carly, love you your the best.

Sit back, shut up and enjoy some Scully.

Hola Compadres,

This weeks episode brought to you by yours truly, Dr. Red. Was once again a mix of some comedy and some more serious issues. As always some classic clown world shit to start the episode off, and then into a few more serious issues. Thanks again to the repeat listeners, always fun to know there's a few people listening, even if it is pretty much just my direct family, it still counts!

Enjoy the episode, hopefully it holds your attention. All thoughts are my own.

Alright wuz good. As a somewhat surprise I actually delivered on my promise of putting out some more content albeit published a few days late. This episode sort of follows the same outline as last weeks episode minus it probably being less funny. Hard to riff on your own two weeks running. But I did my best. Ish.

Again I touch on some clown world shit going on out there, and then talk some FTX sam bankman fried saga as well as some bitcoin at the end. Go on and dive right in, I hope you enjoy and I hope to have you back again next week.

Fellow Leafers,

Its your ever non faithful Redleaf coming back at you live after an extended hiatus. I know I've been gone a while, to long in fact, but the kid is back and ready to throw some new episodes your way. I apologize for the extended wait, I know you've all been foaming at the mouth waiting for a new episode, but its finally here. Its a quick update episode with some recaps on the year of plenty 2022, with some quick flairs of comedic mediocrity and the appetite to get into some trouble. My hope is to have an episode once a week from now on, so hopefully this sucks you back in to keep returning to spend an hour with Dr. Red once a week. If not, then whatever man/ woman be it on your own head.

Hope everyone had a great christmas, and a better new years. Cheers to the shitstorm of 2023.

Well what else do you want to know? I was joined by a local entrepreneurial farmer, who to my surprise has operated his own radio show in the past on the east coast of Canada. Let me tell you, what an absolute pleasure hosting a guy who totally stole the show and the mic. If I'm being honest I was little pissed at how good he was at holding down the mic, Dusty's got a real gift. We hosted inside the greenhouse on the home farm which was a first for RLR, right in between the plants, hence the episode title.

This was an absolutely fantastic conversation talking about where Dusty came from, and how his entrepreneurial spirit has gotten him to where he is now. From flowers to strawberries, blueberries to beer, this guy loves life and his energy is infectious. Moral of the story is, if you've got an idea and the positive energy to try to make that idea come to life, take a berry out of Dusty's bush and let it roll baby. Get after it!

Once again, thanks again to Dusty for this awesome almost 2 hour chin wag, it was a wonderful conversation. Congratulations to him and his future wife on their upcoming wedding.

Howdy Folks,

Hope everyones weekend treated them well. This episode I was joined by two returning guests - Skipper and Sniper, as well as Skips flesh and blood the Sack Man. Technically speaking we are all blood as were brothers and cousins. Hence the title of this episode.

This was a last minute Friday night free for all with no script going into it. We had initially pencilled in some bitcoin boardroom talk, but that quickly moved into some of the life experiences that we've all dealt with and shared, and thats where the episode took us.

From Snipes and Sacks experiences as hunting and fishing guides in the Yukon, to Skipper, Snipes and I sailing the open sea, and all the stories that come in between that.

Saddle up for a fun and laugh filled 90ish minutes of just all around good natured conversation.

As always, thanks for listening. Make sure you keep coming back.

Alright so back at it on RLR, another solo episode.

This episode was just a quick brush on Bitcoin, as I've talked about it multiple times on previous episodes so I thought I should give it a quick little hey how you doin on RLR.

It is probably not up to snuff as far as educationally goes but hey I'm doing this best I can with this blue collar brain of mine. I will continue to put out content on this subject as its important to me, and should be important to you people. In my opinion.

Moral of the story is, give it a listen and see if you get something out of it. If not, it was only 24 minutes of wasted time. If yes, as I hope, there was maybe 2ish minutes of value.

As always, thanks for listening and tuning in. It is much appreciated.

Give me a follow on my instagram account that I never use and send your comments or suggestions my way. - (( redleaf_radio) I think. Haven't logged on in a while).

I am not a financial advisor nor a real doctor.

In this episode I decided to solo it, as it was a last minute decision to rip this one. I also did not get at a Saturday or Sunday sesh on the weekend as I like to call them so this turned into my Thursday evening investment lounge, where I dove into inflation and how the government manipulates money which in turn decreases our buying power.

A quick forewarning, you may not understand everything that I am talking about.. Hell neither do I. And thats okay, because here at RLR were all about having open hearts, open arms and open minds.

If you don't feel like learning about how the government is fucking us I advise you to move past the episode. But if you want to begin to try to understand how corrupt the system is then I would say please listen, and if you have any questions I would love to try to help answer them on another podcast.

A brief mention, this podcast was basically read from an article I found online about inflation which I will link below. None of this was my own work, I just read the article and threw in a couple talking points.

Again don't get frustrated or down if some of it is like what in the F is he talking about. We all gotta start somewhere.

Thanks again for listening and I hope you get something useful out of it. God help us all.

On this episode I am joined by my big bro Sniper as we like to call him. I ask him a few questions about his career in the military and we sort of branched off from there. Always a pleasure hosting someone who's been a part of serving for our country overseas, and he just happens to be my brother.

We continued onto and into some politics, and honestly a whole bunch of other things that we deemed worthy of discussion. Its a bit of a lengthy episode but it just seemed to keep going, which was okay by us. As I mentioned, there was just to many things to list that it would be worth just listening yourself.

As always, remember that nothing we say is meant to be financial advice, nor am I a real doctor, and that we mean nothing we say with ill intent towards anyone or anything. We like to make the jokes, nothing more. Nothing we say represents our business or employers. We are honest somewhat hardworking individuals who like to shoot the shit, so why not do it behind the mic.

I hope you once again enjoy, and thanks for listening.

The second part of the first part, Zorg and I continue our trip down music lane back to the 60's, 70's, and 80's bands that we feel have been very instrumental in our musical influences. Another solid play on words. Stay tuned for Reds book - "Play on Words - the Musical".

We discuss some of the greats, from the heir to all things blues Robert Johnson, to the Grateful Dead, The Band, The Doors, Motley Crue, GandR and many more. If your into random music history we have some galore in store.

As always this is just off the cuff talk, and its all in good fun. If you want to know more, look it up yourself.

As a bonus we threw in a fresh original track at the very end of the episode titled "Brown Paper Bag". It is not released as of yet so this is your first taster. If you like it that's awesome, if you don't, frig off.

Also not sure if we were allowed to do it but we did it anyways- there is a clip from the song "Foreplay/Long Time" by Boston in this episode. All rights are reserved by them we just love the intro, and the whole song for that matter, and thought it deserved to be shared. If a legal battle ensues I will definitely be asking for donations as I cannot afford to pay any type of lawsuit whatsoever. Will keep you posted.

As always, thanks again for listening. I sincerely hope you enjoy.

G'day friends.

This episode I was joined by another good friend of mine otherwise known as Zorg.

We had about 50 minutes slotted prior to hitting the ice, so I forced him into jumping on the air.

Music is a great many things, a true wonder. We discuss a few different topics in regards to the music scene - how we record our OTF material ( check us out on all your music streaming platforms, as well as Jakobian Red ), Leonard Skinner, your dream job, the list goes on. This episode was a 1st parter as there wasn't enough time to get into the full nuts and bolts of things.

All things said, it is a simple episode, for a Simple Man - Lynyrd reference if you didn't catch that.

Once again I sincerely hope you enjoy. If you have been enjoying RLR up to this point please don't hesitate to jump on the old google machine and look up your old friends IG page under the guise redleaf_radio. Feel free to leave a comment about something you would enjoy being brought up, or leave a comment saying hey guys great work out there. We accept no negative feedback or constructive criticism as we don't have thick enough skin to handle it.

Also feel free to request becoming a part of RedLeafRadio and potentially hop on the air with me. I have zero pre requisites.

Well.. another day another play. Buckle up for a fresh episode of RedLeaf Radio.

A couple notes

  • For anyone who was looking forward to hearing the majestic quality of Skippers radio voice, prepare to be let down. We had some strange malfunctions with his mic, which resulted in less than ideal vocal quality. Could be to do with the fact that he's running on blue collar budget and operating a shit mic, but he's doing the best he can. We still love him, and so should you.

  • There will be a slight buzz in the background. Almost like that annoying fly in your bedroom on a midsummers eve when your saddling up for a comfortable nights sleep. As soon as you put your book down and shut the light off, that tiny little fucker crawls out of your lamp and decides to start shitting all over your ceiling. As soon as you turn your light on, he freezes. "Where am I? Can you find me? Hehe" No, you can't. But shut the light off and you can be sure as shit he's gonna start butt fucking your ceiling all over again.

Moral of the story? Don't focus on the fly. He's small and insignificant. Focus on the big picture, which is what we discuss in this episode.

  • At about 14:30 we talk about the size of Ukraine. Ukraine is not the 3rd smallest country between Russia and China. That was a test for the listeners, and the answer is False. "Do your own research".

Russia, Ukraine, Vaccines, Vaccine Mandates, Fertilizer, Gas, CBDC's, Truckers, and Sailing, we get into it, and we hope you enjoy.

In the words of Skipper - "Its gonna be good"

We are not doctors, we are not financial advisors, and I am not a real doctor.

Yours Truly,

Red.

On the latest episode of RedLeaf Radio I am joined again by my best buddy skip and another old friend who chose to go by the alias of Mr. X. We once again enjoyed the cozy comforts of the Cabin woodstove on a Sunday afternoon, after a previous evening of "libations" as Mr. X so eloquently put it, in the exact same location. As you drift off into the sweet abyss of RedLeaf Radio, as you let the warm embrace of the rich earthy, bassy tones of my two guests vocals wash over you, remember to keep an open mind to the categories we drift into. From porta potties to fender benders, from the housing market to jeep history, we cover it all. And whats more, we cover it off the cuff. No script, no notes, we let our brains do the writing and our voices do the spewing.

We are not doctors, we are not financial advisors, we are not planning on committing insurance fraud.

If someone's got a line on a 2004 GMC front bumper, dont hesitate to reach out.

In this episode I am joined by two of my best buds in a little slice of heaven. Off grid in the bush, in a cabin with the woodstove goflin we get to talkin. We discuss a great many things, some good some bad, some happy some sad. Tight rhyme. There is a little more foul language than you may be accustomed to as my friends have lots of swears. And as always remember that we are not financial advisors nor am I a real doctor. I hope you enjoy the episode, and if you don't feel free to leave your comments in the non existent comment section.

First things first, I am not a real doctor, and Red is not my real name. Hop on and enjoy the first episode of hopefully many from Redleaf Radio, a Canadian based podcast focused on bitcoin, beers, buds, and some financial insight from a Blue Collar perspective.
