From the field of play to what we do each day. From the boardroom to the lounge room and wherever we want to lead. 'The Long Game' is all about taking steps today to see us live longer, more athletic, stronger and resilience life. Aimed at Dad's, but open to everyone, The Long Game podcast will share advice on how we master the basics, stop getting caught up in the gimmicks of social media and the half baked hacks and realise that one thing, our facts, is what determines what we do (or don't do) next to become better peers, partners and parents.
This motivational speech by Marcus 'Elevation' Taylor is one of the best I've heard in a long time.
.
Listen to it a few times through.
.
Can you do the 1-month?
Do you have the fortitude to go it alone, out of sight?
Imagine the WOW, holy f*ck type comments you'll get when you chock them all.

There's a whole lot of #1 things we're told we should do to lose weight, drop kg, blah, blah, blah.
.
And there's a fist full of things that it's not ...
.
For me, it's the simpler things ...
.
Get strong, add muscle, learn how the head influences the day to day as well as the long term ...
.
What's your thoughts?
.
Dom
When we're thinking 'we can or we can't' ... we're right.
Another perspective is to think of the stage you are currently in as something being owned by the tide.
What do you think?
Dom
Mentalise.
It's in your head. Just you and your facts.
No more hacks or gimmicks.
You hold the solution to you!
The 1st few episodes will be short. Each one simple enough to listen to and take something away from.
I’m a former tier 1 management consultant, specialising in supply chain and business re-engineering and after many years of burning the candle at both ends, I had my own ‘life changing moment’ in my early 40’s that helped me realise I need to take stock of one thing ... me.
As a first time Dad moving from my 30’s to 40’s I was solely focussed on providing for my family, generating income and in a loose sense, building the business to a point where it might turn into a bigger something.
But I was doing it all wrong as a solo operator.
1, 2, skip a few (and a medical emergency in there or 2).
I made the changes, took stock. Started with 1 step, then a 2nd. Had set backs, side steps, eff it moments, and in time became a bit selfish, because I needed to.
You see, I had to put myself 1st. Otherwise, how the hell would I be in a position to put others first if I couldn’t even look after … me.
Let’s fast forward a bit and to where I am today and why this podcast.
And why I call it The Long Game.
