The Theranostics Tile refers to a new module in Patient Manager focused on the coordination of patients on a Theranostics protocol, such as the pathway for prostate cancer patients. On the left is key patient information, and next to that the patient's upcoming therapy dates, which can be entered directly in the Tile or pulled from the electronic medical record.
The pathway tracker shows which pathway the patient is on, which cycle they're currently on, and the overall pathway status. Any individual cycle can be clicked into for additional details such as the status of labs, oncologist follow up appointments, the dose administration date, and any required imaging.
Steps in red indicate potential pathway deviations, in this case, an abnormal lab result. Blue indicates completed steps, green are upcoming and unscheduled steps and gray are steps that have not yet started. Alerts inform the care team of any potential pathway deviations, such as a dose delivery delay, unscheduled imaging or an abnormal lab. And of course, I can click for additional details there.
Users can also interact with alerts to add notes, escalate them for further attention or mark them as complete. Notes can be added on patients and there's a full patient edit workflow that can be launched to update dates, manage tasks, add notes, or add one touch tasks such as if I want to flag a patient for discussion at an upcoming MD conference.
I can click the little test tube icon to see the patient's full lab history, which can be viewed in a trending format as well. On the bottom, the Tile provides situational awareness such as the number of patients in each cycle, and I can click for additional details there. And on the right, it'll show me the number of patients with different risk categories, such as the number of patients with lab related risks, including abnormal labs and pending lab collection.
The Tile also allows users to live track candidates for the pathway using any number of configurable criteria such as a PSMA score or by having clinicians directly identify the patient for tracking in the Tile. And these are just some of the many features that are available with the Theranostics Tile for Patient Manager.
Patient Manager 4.0 offers an improved summary view that allows you to dynamically choose the dimensional combinations. You can also click through cells for a display of the list of patients behind each total. A condensed unit view makes it easier to track 20-40 patients on one screen. Enhanced edit workflows and search capabilities decrease clicks and improve efficiencies.
The Imaging Expediter helps modalities coordinate back and forth with units and the ED to optimize the flow of patients to and through modalities. The Tile integrates Real Time information from your EMR to provide visibility into current and future machine capacity and demand, count of scheduled and unscheduled patients, readiness barriers that need to be resolved prior to procedures and pending or overdue reads. The Tile can be filtered by users to display only the most pertinent information.
The Sepsis Tile allows users to see at a glance which patients may be potentially septic. These potentially septic patients can be identified in a variety of ways such as via algorithm or by members of the care team. Once patients are identified as being septic, the Tile tracks the patients treatments against your best practice sepsis protocols to ensure they are being followed.
The Patient Placement Prioritizer Tile is used by Bed Management and Transfer Centers to quickly match the right bed to the right patients needing inpatient care. The Tile prioritizes patients competing for open beds using a robust algorithm which considers many different factors. Green stars indicate to users that its time to take action NOW. A bed is available and the Tile identifies the right patient for it.
Used in conjunction with daily line huddles, infection control rounds, or for clinicians to quickly scan the line status for all patients on his/her unit, Lines Module provides users with at-a-glance information into the specific type of line, the exact insertion date/time, the precise location, the date of last dressing or bath, and the criteria for continuing.With profiles, users can build lists to target specific patient populations as well as determine how the information is presented, such as by location, sequenced by who has had the line in the longest, or many others.
Patient Manager is used by everyone in the health system to improve throughput and capacity, to drive multidisciplinary rounds, and to highlight barriers to care progression and discharge planning. Highly-customizable profiles give users the ability to pinpoint specific patient populations such as Long LOS, Discharge Lounge candidates, Complex Post-Acute Placements, Observation Management risks and many others.

The Census Forecast Tile with the Staffing Module provides nursing leaders and staffing planners, real time awareness to current staffing needs and harvests the power of machine learning to provide insights into the appropriateness of future schedules. And a corresponding staffing differential in the forecasting window. Users can create profiles to quickly focus on areas of responsibility. The Surgical Growth Tile provides a 2-week outlook of the surgical schedule and gives visibility of available OR capacity to fill, spots of high or low utilization, and planned bed demand. The patient-level alerts focus on case cancellation risks and/or scheduling opportunities. This section also provides visibility to unscheduled cases to be prioritized.Surgical Growth Tile is used by peri-operative services and other hospital staff to maximize the utilization of surgical resources. The Perinatal Tile detects obstetrical and neonatal risks as they are flagged in hospital source systems, helping clinicians trigger time-sensitive tasks, communication and escalation.Sample data tracked in real-time could include triage and department patient volumes, fetal heart rates, maternal / newborn early warning scores, bilirubin and glucose levels. In the fast-paced perinatal space, the Tile allows care providers to quickly filter through custom lists of patients to help identify where to focus action.
The Patient Manager with ICU Downgrades Module provides a prioritized list of patients for downgrades and laterals. The module codifies criteria based on the hospitals standards for ICU, Stepdown, and Acute care beds. It also provides multiple acuity scores to quickly understand the status of the patient. The module can be used in patient manager to focus on high priority units, or to facilitate daily rounding in the ICU.
The Imaging Growth Tile helps to optimize imaging volume and flow by providing scheduled and forecasted volume for the next two weeks, including predicted no-shows, along with anticipated open slots to highlight future days which are not filling as expected (all built from patient-level data, not statistics).Moreover, the Tile pinpoints readiness issues (like missing or contraindicated labs, and wrong IV location) which may disrupt patient flow.
The ED Expediter Tile helps manage the flow of patients in the ED. It alerts on flow barriers such as registration, provider sign up, consult, imaging, and lab delays. The situational awareness bar helps leadership adapt to the overall situation in the ED and in each pod. Caregivers can be easily filter by ED pod and role to zoom in on areas that are important to them.
The Boarders Expediter Tile provides real-time visibility to patients waiting for beds as well as offers bed matching algorithms that help expedite the assignment process. Patient placement and EVS staff can help prioritize bed assignments/cleaning, and alerts staff of patients assigned a clean bed, pending transportation to their destination unit. This Tile helps boarders avoid longer than necessary waits often associated with throughput delays and capacity issues.
The Advanced Illness Tile provides real-time awareness of patients who are at a high risk of deterioration, have multiple chronic or end stage conditions, and/or are experiencing significant palliative/hospice consult delays. By assisting care teams in early identification of this high-risk population, the Advanced Illness Tile ensures the right conversations can happen in a timely manner so that care givers can spend less time digging through data and more time with these patients and their families.
The Ward Link Tile summarises the patient alerts, tasks and risks from all other GE Tiles to enable ward-based clinical teams to see all relevant data points for patients on their ward. This Tile is used by care providers to support board rounds, ward rounds and enable the embedding of SAFER principles, as well as highlighting potential clinical risks and patient flow bottlenecks throughout the day.
The Clinical Deterioration Tile (UK) helps accelerate care escalation for at risk patients and put clinical surveillance algorithms to work. Many care providers have adopted clinical surveillance scoring systems that are intended to help front line care teams identify patients who are potentially deteriorating. The Clinical Deterioration Tile (UK) helps backstop these front line care teams by highlighting patients who are identified as being at risk and who are not already at an escalated level of care or are not receiving the increased frequency of monitoring and physician review indicated (by protocol linked to their evidence based early warning score).
ThePatient Manager with Observation Module monitors the flow of observation patients and alerts the care team to outstanding tasks, barriers, status updates and late assessments. The focus is to ensure that the care team can efficiently complete the work-up and make their disposition decision (convert to inpatient or discharge) within the specified time frame (two midnights, 48 hours, configurable best practice). The smart alerting highlights which tasks are at risk of not being completed within that timeframe to help care teams prioritize their efforts. Near real time visibility to the availability of critical resources, including beds and ventilators, across a region. The Capacity System, accessible via a gated, secure website, supports near real-time capacity management, providing hospital and regional decision makers with access to up-to-date hospital data on the availability of beds and ventilators as well as COVID-19 census and admission trends. It supports decision making around patient routing, resource allocation as well as policy setting. The information on the website is updated every 5 minutes, directly from the hospitals’ EMRs and without any need for manual reporting. It is designed to scale easily across multiple regions, states, etc.
The Transfer Expediter Tile organizes patients who are waiting to move between hospitals both within and outside the healthcare system. The Tile organizes patients into different cohorts such as within the health system, outside the health system and those coming from home or clinic. The Tile helps users manage the patient queue by providing at a glance where patients are coming from, what services they likely need, and potential beds throughout the system that are a good fit for the patient. Additionally, this Tile highlights patients who potentially are better candidates for other facilities that are closer to their home.
