They didn't pay Tithe because: Jesus did not give them a doctrine on it, so they had to allow it's payment to the Jews for sometime before they would bring up a doctrine on it by the inspiration of the Spirit. At the Advent of the church, certain Jewish customs were still done by the early church before they were well established
