Preacher: Dr Chloë Reddaway, Fellow in Art and Religion, The National Gallery

Chloë Reddaway is Howard and Roberta Ahmanson Fellow in Art and Religion at the National Gallery, London. Her work focuses on visual theology and Christian art, and she teaches a collaborative MA in Christianity and the Arts with Kings College London, where she is a Visiting Fellow at the centre for Arts and the Sacred. Prior to her AHRC-funded doctorate she read Philosophy and Theology at Trinity College, Oxford and worked in the arts sector. She was later Research Assistant to Professor Ben Quash and a Research Associate in the Divinity Faculty, Cambridge. Chloë is an Associate of the Westminster Abbey Institute, and teaches for Westcott House, Westminster College, and STETS.

Preacher: The Rev'd Canon Christopher Irvine, Canon Librarian and Director of Education, Canterbury Cathedral

Christopher Irvine is the Canon Librarian and Director of Education at Canterbury Cathedral. He serves on the Liturgical Commission of the Church of England and the Cathedrals Fabric Commission for England. He has a particular interest in the place of art in churches. Canon Irvine is also a trustee of Art and Christianity Enquiry, and contributes to the teaching of short courses on art and theology at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, and for the MA in Liturgical Studies at Sarum College and the Mirfield Liturgical Institute.

Preacher: The Rev'd Richard Lloyd Morgan, Chaplain, King's College, Cambridge

The Revd Richard Lloyd Morgan trained at the South East Institute of Theological Education and was ordained in 1998 in Southwark Cathedral, having spent the previous 25 years as a concert and opera singer. He was appointed Chaplain at King’s College, Cambridge in 2003. When not at Cambridge, he likes to pursue his interests in wildlife and conservation.

Preacher: The Rev'd Dr Alison Milbank, Associate Professor of Literature and Theology, Nottingham University

Alison researches and teaches in the area of faith and the arts, and is currently completing a theological history of horror fiction. She has published books on the Gothic, Dante, Tolkien and Chesterton and on Anglican mission and ecclesiology. Most recently she has co-edited 'Literature and Theology after Postmodernism' (Bloomsbury, 2015). She has a particular interest in theological aesthetics, especially the grotesque and the monstrous. Alison is a trustee of ACE (Art and Christian Enquiry).

Preacher: Mr Sandy Nairne, Writer, formerly Director of the National Portrait Gallery

Sandy Nairne is a writer and curator based in London, and until recently was Director of the National Portrait Gallery. He has previously worked at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Arts Council and at Tate. His publications include State of the Art, 1987, the anthology Thinking about Exhibitions, 1996, and more recently The 21st Century Portrait and Art Theft and the Case of the Stolen Turners. He chaired the National Museum Directors’ Conference Working Group on Cultural Diversity, and is currently Chair of the Fabric Advisory Committee at St Paul’s Cathedral, the Art Advisory Committee for Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres and the Board of the Clore Cultural Leadership Programme.
