That is a wonderful notion and their heart is in the right place. However, I want to take that idea a bit further. Treating people fairly means they will get whatever you have to help them be successful. No one starts at the same place and you are picking up from wherever they start with you.

In a time crunch, multiple steps and infinite discussion cannot take place. In those circumstances you need a process that you can easily remember and quickly implement. The OODA Loop is just that process. The OODA Loop has four main parts and is easily implemented leading you to be able to take quick action and, based upon success, move onto other aspects of your decision. Well, there is some truth to that notion, but I wish to take it a little further. "Buy-in" is a bit surface level when you are acting toward a long-term initiative. I think that a deeper commitment is needed in today's complex organizations. Today, we talk about that deeper level in the name of "Belief-in".

In my many years as a leader, many of the functions that I once did (solo) are now more complex and detailed. The Meta-Coaching Model that I brought forth provides a framework and steps for how to lead yourself in decision making, leadership strategies, and professional development that you do for yourself.
As a sole leader in my organization, I do not have peers that I can rely to provide the necessary feedback to grow that I require. Thus, I have built my own structure to gain insight into providing feedback to my own learning.
