In our lives we all want reassurance and peace of mind. The important thing is that we all need spiritual assurances and we need to know we are okay with God. Sometimes we fall away and look for those assurances elsewhere, however as Christians Jesus says "He will never let you go " This is the reassurance.

After our 16 Baptisms this morning Tom reminds us that if we ask Jesus never forgets us.
As we approach Pentecost we look at the book of Acts and the experiences of the first disciples and what it means for us today.
The bible says a ruler is to serve, protect, and watch over their people. We have a God - King Jesus who loves us, whom has laid down his life for us. He is the true ruler. Jesus intercedes with his people as he loves them.
Jesus treats the law with grace. The law brings judgement but grace brings mercy. The two works hand in hand. We need to cry out to Jesus to say. Have mercy on us. I need you.
If we are stubborn and like to get our own way, this can sometimes lead to us digging a big hole. However how do we know what is right. To confirm this, we must be able to accept the following:
1/. Absolutely we must be able to have a heart that may accept that one could be wrong
2/. Does it fit with what I believe and does it fit in with what the bible say
3. Is the conviction I am holding bearing fruit.
Linda Saville from St John's speaks on 'Because of Jesus- I am cared for' from Psalm 23 in the first of a series of Sunday evening themes of "Because of Jesus..."

Go to God for your wisdom as God is all wisdom. Do not seek earthly wisdom but Godly wisdom. We need to humbly accept God's word and do what it says. What you say needs to be in line with your actions. We need to be submissive.
There is no shortage of love in the world but misdirected. All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching and rebuking. They make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
