The Covid-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns is having a huge impact on everyone’s mental health. It has physically kept families and friends apart for the better part of two years whilst simultaneously mentally draining even the strongest of us.
In this episode we had the pleasure of speaking with Clinical Psychologist, Leanne Hall, on some interesting mental health topics that have arisen along with the pandemic. These include how the current social situation is affecting everyone, how can families manage stress levels, how to manage your own stress/anxiety, the impact of the pandemic on younger people (relationships, socialising, loss of youth) and how we can look out for our friends at this time.
Leanne has worked in the field for over 20 years, she is a published author, is currently undertaking her PhD at Sydney University, is the Clinical Lead for a Youth Charity and was the consultant psychologist for Bride and Prejudice and has also been on The Living Room (both Aussie TV shows). This is certainly an episode not to be missed! If you would like to get in touch with Leanne please check out her Instagram @leannehalltherapist
