This week, the numbers were slightly less good than the previous week, simply because there was no post payout during this week. This shows that the project is relying less and less on post rewards which is something that I'm quite happy about.

Once a month, we perform a big burn of CTPSB tokens. In the video, I explain how this big burn is funded and what effect it has on the token value. The result of this big burn is that the token value climbed over 17%.

Today, I saw a comment from @hivebuzz congratulating @ctpsb for the 4 years anniversary on hive! If I hadn't seen this comment, I would have probably forgotten about it. Exactly four years ago, the @ctpsb account was created and on the first of September 2020, the first blog post was published. Since then a lot of things have changed. After two weeks of holidays, I'm finally back home and it's time to give an update on the CTPSB project.

We have a budget of 500 WAX (= 32$) to buy back CTPSB NFT's from you guys. In the video, I show you how you can easily create a sell order for your NFT for free. We will purchase Silver NFT's for 25 WAX (= 1,6$) and Gold NFT's for 50 WAX (= 3.2$). We will buy these NFT's until the budget is used.
Why buying back NFT's ?There is no liquidity for CTPSB NFT's and we would like to make it possible for you to sell your NFT if you want to. That's why we start this buy back program.
What will we do with the NFT's ?If we manage to purchase some NFT's, we will actually put them again for sale or use them as prizes for challenges.

This week we have again worked towards a sustainable burning mechanism for CTPSB and we have now reached our goal. We have increased significantly our position in the LEN:LENM pool and will earn around 0.5 CTPSB that will be burnt every week. Also addition income sources will allow us to burn even more tokens and push the APR of CTPSB. Check the video for more details!

We made many changes in the past months and weeks and the result is that the project requires much less time from my side. This again gives me the option to work on improving the tokenomics of the project. For a couple of weeks, I have been working in improving the burning mechanism of the project. We are on a very good path in this respect to make it sustainable and scalable.

In the previous posts, we presented the changes regarding the CTPSB project and today, I would like to explain how it will work for CTPSB NFT holders. This doesn't concern the holders of collector NFT's that get weekly dividends, put all the other holders of Silver and Gold NFT's who will get a quarterly dividend, paid for the first time at the end of March 2024.

In the past it was possible to buy CTPSB NFT's on the Liotes Shop but unfortunately this shop is not functional anymore. That is why I will show you a way how you can buy CTPSB NFT's on WAX using hive.
While re-watching the video I swat that I said something that is not totally accurate. It's actually free to sell NFT's on WAX and everybody can do it. However, there is a 10% transaction fee when a CTPSB NFT is sold. This transaction fee is actually used to fill the busy ant account (@ctpsb.ctp) which pays the dividends for the collector NFT holder.

As you know I was on holidays for two weeks and I had a nice time but a bad internet connection. Because of that, I couldn't really create any posts and now we feel the repercussions. This week there was no post payout and therefore we are lacking the income from this source for the project.

Holding CTPSB tokens gives quite a nice return. Calculated for the last two weeks, the increase in token value corresponds to an APR of 20.7% ! This return depends on several factors like the post reward or the amount of delegation that we get. It fluctuates accordingly from week to week.

I'm very happy to present the first version of the new CTPSB ranking. It took me some time to put all the numbers together but actually less than I expected. I checked all the submitted posts and evaluated them.
Impressive post qualityI have to say that I was very positively surprised by the quality of the posts submitted. I rated the posts from 0 to 10 points, 10 being the best quality. The lowest mark that I have given is actually 6 points and most of the posts got 8 to 10 points. Congrats for making awesome content!

We are in the process of renewing the CTPSB ranking completely. The idea behind this process is to encourage engagement, quality content and interaction. In a series of videos, we will present the new components of this ranking.

As you could learn from our last posts, we are undergoing some changes with the ctpsb project. The first change that we implemented is switching from a fix APR return for delegators to a dynamic one.
This week, we paid out the dividends for the first time according to this new calculation and for the first time, we distributed the dividends in the form of CTPSB tokens.

A couple of months ago, I started a change in strategy to finance the dividends for delegators of the project. These delegations are pretty important for us because they allow us to leverage the return for the token and to give big upvotes to the members of the CTP community.
I realized in the last weeks, that the change will take a very long time and in the meantime, the funds are not enough to cover the costs.
I would like to open the discussion. Maybe you have an idea how we could generate a little bit more income to make the return for delegators a bit higher so that the whole project becomes more sustainable.

Unfortunately many tribe tokens on Hive-Engine are losing value lately and for the ctpsb project this matters because it's with the curation rewards of these Hive-Engine tokens that we mainly finance the dividends to our delegators. For this reason we are working on changing the strategy somewhat.

In the last post, we presented small changes that we wanted to implement to improve the project.

A couple of days ago, the 5th edition of the CTP power up challenge came to an end. It was a big success and also quite a lot of fun. The person who finished 2nd in the ranking, @dkid14 decided that he would leave one of his prizes to somebody else. That's why today I make a drawing to define who is the winner of his CTPSB Gold NFT worth 13.5$. All the participants of the CTP power up challenge who haven't won a NFT were enlisted. Dividends paid We have paid a total of 2220 CTP tokens as dividends to the delegators of the CTPSB account. This represents an APR close to 10% which is slightly higher than what you can get in terms of curation rewards on Hive.

People were asking me, when does the next CTPSB ranking come out. In the past I was making a ranking according to the hive power of the accounts in the community to see how the community was progressing. Well there will be a new CTPSB ranking but not the way you know it.
Why a new ranking? The problem was that it was very time consuming to update this ranking. The other issue was that in this ranking there were people who actually didn't own any ctp tokens and it started not to make much sense anymore. Since this ranking was also the base for who was in the CTPSB program, I started to have some difficulties to decide who to include and who not. It was too objective and I started not to like it anymore.
That is why, I decided to come up with a new ranking. A ranking that is based totally on objective factors. It will be an internal ranking for me that will help me define who will be part of the CTPSB program and who not.
How are the ranks calculated? To create this ranking, the first step was to go to the CTP richlist and sort it according to the number of CTP tokens staked. I believe that the CTP stake shows best who is committed to the token and the community. I then when through every single account and looked at the last post written on CTPtalk. If the last post is older than 2 months, the account would be erased from the list and considered inactive. I then also looked at the quality of the posts and I erased the accounts that were publishing content of insufficient quality. I haven't been very strict while doing that. I had now my new ranking.
Two categories I now defined two categories of accounts. The top 40 accounts and the next 20 accounts. The top 40 accounts will get full support from the program and the 20 next ones will get partial support. To define who is in tier 1 and who in tier 2, it's the number of staked CTP tokens that counts.
For the next month, as long as you have posted in CTP talk during the last two months and as long as your content is of sufficient quality:
You will be in Tier 1 if you have today 11'900 or more CTP tokens staked
You will be in Tier 2, if you have today at least 4'400 CTP tokens staked
If you have less than 4400 CTP tokens staked you won't be in the program this month.
This ranking is however not definitive. Every month, I will do it anew and it will be a kind of competition to be in the top 40 or the top 60. What matters most is to be active and to stake CTP tokens.
I believe that this way of doing is quite fair and objective. For me it will be easier to argument why somebody is in the program and why not. It will also be less time consuming for me.

As every Sunday, I have paid the weekly dividends to the delegators of the @ctpsb project. For the 3rd week in a row, I have been able to increase the number of CTP tokens per HP delegated.
The changes that I started to implement some time ago start to take effect and I believe it's looking promising at the moment. My objective is to be able to pay a better return to delegators than now. I will need some more time but I believe we are on the good path.
When looking back at the evolution, the CTPSB token gains about 0.01 Hive per week in value I have been adding some features to the weekly report (check video) and while doing that, I realised that the value of the CTPSB token is increasing by at least 0.01 Hive every week and this like a clockwork for many months. I think that it's quite difficult to find such an evolution anywhere else :-)
Necessary changes The @ctpsb account was one of the biggest Sports token holders. We had a big problem however because sports decided to go away from scotbot and to run their token on their own smart contract and also on the new front-end provided by hive-engine.
The problem with this is that I was using a vote weight multiplier so far that allowed me to give 2% Hive upvotes with the @ctpsb account and with a 50x vote weight multiplier, I could give 100% upvotes in Sports. With this new smart contract, this is not possible anymore. I had therefore to create a specialized account @ctpsb.sports. I had to power down the stake on CTPSB and then send it to the new account and power it up again. I could have delegated from one account to the other but I had started the power down without thinking too much and now I can't stop it :-).
I also had to ask the people who delegated sports to the project, to cancel their delegations to @ctpsb and to redelgate to the new account.
It's a lot of work and we lose quite a lot of curation rewards in the process.

Your delegations are always very welcome. They actually help use to generate curation rewards which allows us to pay more dividends to delegators of the project. More delegations, means more return for the CTPSB token and also higher upvotes on the posts.

Last week I have started to implement some changes within the CTPSB project. Before, to pay dividends to the delegators of the project, I was simply buying the cheapest sell orders on the market. Now I'm setting buy orders throughout the whole week at a lower price.
Since there is quite a big spread between buy and sell orders, the project was loosing a lot of money before. With the change, for X hive, we can now buy more CTP tokens.
Supporting the price of CTP This has also a good effect on the CTP prices. By setting constant buy orders, this builds a kind of buy wall for the CTP token. Through this buy wall, we get a stability for the token. In addition to that, if I need to buy tokens with CTPSB project, I will need to always put the highest buy orders on the market. I belive this might introduce a growing trend for the token.
Bringing value to delegators The whole purpose of these changes was to give more value to delegators of the project. During the past months the return for delegators has decreased constantly with the lower prices of CTP. Thanks to these changes, I believe that I will be able to change the tendency and hopefully the APR for delegators will go up steadily.
We shouldn't forget however that the dividends is only one of the profits that we get from delegating to @ctpsb. We also support a whole community to grow by giving powerful upvotes and we give value to the CTPSB token

On 1st of October 2020, the CTPSB token was emitted to all the people who had contributed Hive to the project. The first price on the market was 1.017 Hive per token. Today, one year later, the token value is 1.763 Hive! If you were on board from day one, the CTPSB token gave you a very interesting return of more than 70% !
Redesign and some changes I thought it was time to make the weekly reports look a bit different and I also want to implement some changes to make the project more efficient. So far I was always buying CTP tokens once per week to pay delegators and I was simply buying the sales orders on the market. This is not so efficient. From now on, I will put buy orders throughout the whole week and I believe that I will be able to purchase more CTP tokens and give more value to the people delegating to the project.
New info in the reports In the future, the NFT's and the Busy Ant will play a more and more important role in the project. In the weekly reports, I will therefore also mention the money that lies on the busy ant and the prices of the NFT's.

As you know probably, I like to make things complicated... Here is my newest complicated creation. I have build a little machine that I will call the busy ant of ctpsb. And yes... it's a bit complicated to understand how it works. I have tried to explain it in the video but I'm not sure I succeeded.
What is the busy ant of CTPSB? It's actually a hive account that is alimented with 20% of the liquid post rewards from the @ctpsb account. It also gets about 80% of the sales of any CTPSB NFT. All the hive collected is then powered up and delegated to the @ctpsb account. Like all delegaters it gets weekly dividends in CTP tokens. This is the weekly pot and this pot will be distributed among all the holders of CTPSB collector NFT's (learn more about our NFT's) in the form of CTPSB token. One part of this pot will be used to burn CTPSB.
What does this ant bring? At the moment this machine is very small but since it is not using its substance it can only grow over time. The advantages are multiple:
- more hive delegated to CTPSB and more powerful upvotes to the community
- weekly dividends for collector NFT holders
- increase of CTPSB thanks to burning effect
Since the project just started, it's not really possible to see any effects yet but over time, the ant will grow and get more powerful. Everybody involved will profit from it... More powerful upvotes to the community, growing weekly dividends for NFT collector holders, more value to the CTPSB token...
