The church has made mistakes goining to one extreme or another. Err on the side of safety for the abused. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - The gospel can change the heart of anyone, even the abuser. 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 Past misuse of Bible verses doesn’t mean we should not turn to the Scripture for answers in abuse situations.
