Leader Guide Archives: We wanted to make sure you were all aware that the Leader Guide Archive is available online anytime. The current week’s post also has the option at the bottom to scroll back to the previous week’s information.
Connect & Serve: There are opportunities to serve in the church and community that we’d love to encourage your Life Group to participate in. From Agape Nights, Easter Weekend, and weekly Calvary Kids Ministry, there are spaces in all sorts of ministries at the church. More information about opportunities to serve is available online. If your group would be interested in serving in our local community, you can check out these opportunities or connect with our Outreach Director Anne to discuss the possibilities.
Coaching Mid-Quarter Check In & Survey: We have made it to the middle of the quarter already! We will be having a mid-quarter meeting and training on Sunday April 2nd. I would also like to ask you to fill out this mid-quarter survey that will help your Coaches and the Life Groups team support you best in this season. Please fill this out by April 2nd.

Weekly AnnouncementsEaster WeekendGood Friday: Friday, April 15th, 6pm & 7:30pm
Join us for one of our Good Friday services, Friday April 15th at 6pm or 7:30pm. Pastor Nate will share the story of the single most important night in all of human history, the atoning death of Jesus. We will spend the evening worshiping, reflecting on His great sacrifice, and partaking in communion together. Calvary Kids will be available during the 6pm service only, so register your kids today. The Grille will be open for a special dinner buffet from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. There will be lots of yummy food options for all, $20 per adult and $15 per kid, desserts and beverages included. Reservations are not needed. Check out the menu options and find out more details at calvary.com/easterweekend.
Easter: Sunday, April 17th, 9am & 11am
Then come back on Sunday, April 17th, and celebrate with us that Jesus is Risen! We get to live in the joy of this reality every single day but on Easter we get to put all of our focus, attention, and celebration on this truth. Join us on the lawn at 9am or 11am, as we worship our RISEN King. Calvary Kids will be available during both services, so register your kids now. The Grille will be open for a wonderful Easter Brunch buffet from 8am to 1pm and will have lots of sweet and savory options. The cost will be $10 per kid and $15 per adult. Calvary Kids Easter Egg Help
Calvary Kids also has a special request for help with the assembly of easter eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. Life Groups or individuals can collect packages of materials from Calvary Kids on Sunday 3/27 and take them home (or to Life Group) to put them together. The fully assembled eggs need to be returned to Calvary Kids by Sunday 4/10. Questions? Please reach out to Sharron, our Calvary Kids Coordinator (sharronp@calvary.com, text 831-200-4313).
Mid-Quarter Life Group: April 6th - May 18thMeet and Greet. Quick yet Deep. Short and Sweet. This is how we’d describe our Mid-Quarter Life Group here at Calvary. We will meet for 7 weeks to dive deeper into the Scripture and grow in Christian friendships. This is where you’ll find fellow believers to help you strengthen your relationship with God and His church. Registration is available online, and childcare is available for families who register in advance. If you know someone who would be interested, encourage them to sign up online today at calvary.com/lifegroups!
Growth Night: April 3rdOur next Growth Night is in a couple of weeks, Sunday, April 3rd. This month Pastor Nate and his wife Christina will be continuing their series “Jesus Famous Men and Women” and discussing how we can walk with God all our life. Mark your calendars and join us. Dinner will be available for purchase on the patio, 4:30pm to 5:25pm, with worship starting at 5:30pm. There will be games and s'mores before and after the study. Calvary Kids Club is available for children 1-year-old to 5th grade as well as a Middle School meeting. Scheduling Notes: You may note that the mid-quarter mark is coming up soon! You will be hearing from your coaches shortly about setting up your team’s mid-quarter check-in during week 7 (April 2-8). Additionally, as we do not have a break built into the spring quarter, we are thrilled to be able to offer Life Groups the opportunity to meet and discuss the Word each week. Sometimes, it can benefit a group to take a week off or gather in a less formal format. As leaders, please use your discretion if you feel as though your group could benefit from a week at a different pace.

Here are the Leader Guides for this first week, along with a few notes to get us started:
Leader Guide: We have prepared some notes that you can use to lead your first meeting next week. We will not be sending discussion questions this Sunday, instead, use these notes to structure your first meeting. The goal of this time should be to: connect (or re-connect) with the people in your group; cast the vision for the quarter by walking your group through the LG Covenant; and pray together.

Covenant Membership & Launch Dinner Recordings: This first week gives us the opportunity to discuss group dynamics and expectations, utilizing the Life Group Covenant. Pastor Manny expands on this opportunity in this Covenant podcast, so please take a moment to listen to it in advance of your first meeting. If you would like additional coaching on implementing the Life Group Covenant, check out Pastor Matt’s LG Covenant episode of the Life Group Leader Podcast.
Communicating with your group: If you haven’t gotten in touch with your group yet, please do that now. Make sure they have any special instructions they may need for logging on or getting to your group. We have prepared a tutorial video for you to learn how to communicate with your group through Planning Center and how to download your group roster.
Group Registration Closes September 28th: Please note that we will be formally closing all groups Sunday September 28th and directing those interested in joining a Life Group to connect with the Life Groups Team directly. We will reach out to you if someone could be a good fit for your group, to see if you could accommodate them.

Pastor Nate encourages Life Group Leaders and Hosts as we begin the quarter. Life Groups Director Jeanine Staton shares vision and a status report for Life Groups in fall 2022. We also welcome guest speaker, licensed psychotherapist Erica Lopez, to share with us about the importance of addressing the challenges in Life Group well, especially when it comes to mental health issues.

Weekly AnnouncementsMen’s Conference: March 12thOur Men’s Conference is this Saturday! Put it on your calendar and sign up today. Join us Saturday, March 12th, 8:30am to 1pm, here at Calvary. This year’s theme is "Resilient”. To be resilient means that we don't give up when life gets tough, and we don't let our struggles, trials, or failures define us. God enables you by His grace and encourages you through one another to be men of resilience. Our hope for this year's Men’s Conference is that you would be built up and strengthened through God's Word, worship, and fellowship with other brothers in Christ. Pastor Pilgrim Benham, lead pastor of Shoreline Church in Bradenton, Florida, will be teaching through Psalm 1 and sharing how we can be rooted, rewarded, and righteous men of God. The cost is $20, which covers your continental breakfast and lunch. You are not going to want to miss out this opportunity so register today at calvary.com/events.
Calvary Kids Volunteers NeededWe are so excited to see how God has been growing our Calvary Kids ministry over the past few months. In Calvary Kids, our passion is to share with kids the gospel so that they can follow Jesus and discover His great plan for their lives. This work has never been more important as our kids face new and unique challenges in our day. But we get the amazing privilege every week of partnering with parents in raising the next generation of Jesus followers. We want to invite you to join our Calvary Kids team. We would love to expand our team so that we can continue to reach the growing number of kids each week. We are looking to add additional teachers and helpers for both the 8:30 and 10am services. We are looking for individuals that can commit to serving two weeks out of the month. Reach out to our Calvary Kids team coordinator, Sharron (sharronp@calvary.com), to learn more.

Seaside Middle School OutreachOver 10,000 students in our county qualify as homeless, and Seaside Middle School has the highest percentage of homeless or housing-unstable students. Our church has been blessed with the opportunity to help the school establish a Resource Room for these at-risk students to get access to basic needs like clothes, toiletries, and school supplies. But first, we need to stock the room with these items! If you'd like to help, please shop our Amazon wish list and the items will be sent directly to the school.
