In this recording of my presentation, I briefly share our research on how religious identity affects the relationship between risky sexual behavior and life satisfaction. From the literature, studies have shown that risky sexual behavior has positive consequences on an individual due to feelings of satisfaction from their sexual experiences and elevated self-perception of empowerment and attractive self-image. However, an individual with a Catholic faith may experience cognitive dissonance and guilt when engaging in risky sexual behavior due to the moral teachings of the Church. With this, we examine the relationship amongst these three variables.

In this episode, I try to open-mindedly discuss the topic ofSex and Sex Positivity with my graduate school friend, Daniel. We are both pursuing our master’s degree in Clinical Psychology which harnesses our interest in the field of Sex Psychology- sexual disorders and porn addiction. All seriousness aside, this podcast episode is simply a not-so-wholesome, no-filter conversation (on BDSM, kinks) between two friends over a bottle of wine.
