I don't know about you, I'm not a big fan of pre-mined crypto. There is nothing wrong with crypto like CRO (Cronos) was launched by the Crypto.com company as part of its vision of “putting cryptocurrency in every wallet". After reading some information about $CRO, I found out that the top 20 Crypto by market cap is filled with Non-mineable cryptocurrencies. I'm sure most of the crypto investors will have Non-mineable cryptocurrencies in their portfolios.
Many early Bitcoin adopters actually mined their first Bitcoin. Thanks to Satoshi himself for his long term vision of making Bitcoin a well-distributed cryptocurrency.
Thanks to our global community who's making sure that Hive is getting distributed to the hands of many people. And I'm trying to do my part spreading the words about Hive offline. Thanks to travellers who're visiting Sri Lanka and Thanks to Backpackers Hostels and co-working offices.
I recently onboarded two people with Hive and the main selling point of Hive was it's a minable cryptocurrency. Unfortunately, first, two people that I personally introduced in the year 2022 to Hive was not active currently. I'm going to keep introducing new people to Hive going forward regardless of my first two attempts. I actually planning to onboard a third person to Hive today.
I'm planning on staying in Sri Lanka for a few more months. Please do let me know if you or any of your crypto friends are heading to Weligama, Sri Lanka in the next couple of months and you can join my Crypto BnB experiment.

It's been a while since my last Hive content. So I will keep this short. Before I begin writing this post, I wanted to say that I read all the comments on my previous posts.
It's only two months into the year 2022 and I feel a little overwhelmed by all the experiments I'm doing to create more luck. I'm confident that I will create opportunities for myself by creating something valuable for crypto people. And I'm always putting the Hive community first!
Still trying to figure out how to start Crypto BnB in Sri Lanka. I have already spent so much of my energy on this experiment. I remain optimistic about I will somehow be able to pivot this idea into something that brings value to our global Hive community.
Since optimists focus on and seek out the positive in the world, they tend to spot opportunities much more often than pessimists. Also, since they tend to believe in themselves (again, due to positive thinking), they will capitalize on the opportunities that arise.
Note for myself... Luck is when preparation meets opportunity!
Please do let me know if you or any of your crypto friends are heading to Sri Lanka in the next couple of months.

I'm always thinking how can I bring value to our Hive Network. In the past I took extreme personal risks and this year I'm learning to take calculated risks and moving forward slowly. Sustaining my Hive journey and cultivating long term mind set is my focus in 2022.
I forget to mention, one of my new friend from Sri Lanka have started investing with Crypto and I will try to make him investing with Hive.

I wanted to write a crypto related content but I couldn't find time today to do that. However I have been going to beach very often while I stay in Sri Lanka. So I wanted to share some videos I took.
I think because we're approaching 6th January airdrops snapshot, Hive also picking up momentum. I'm sure we all want to see Hive stay above $2 forever.
Even though I made some new year resolution to not to check Hive price often but i cant help myself until we see $2 Hive again.

The first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps, the third year it leaps.
Hive was created by a resilient group of community members of Steem coming together with steem hostile takeover in March 2020 and our decentralised network will enter its third year from March 2022. And in my personal view, our Hive network will exponentially grow next year. And I'm very much looking forward to contributing towards the growth.

2021 is a huge year for the crypto communities across the world. DeFi hype, NFT hype, Bitcoin ATH and so on. But we don't see crypto business in the physical world.
With the global pandemic and lockdowns, most of us learned to spend the majority of our time at home. Thanks to technology developments empowering remote work and remote education. However, it would be nice to see things like Bitcoin ATM and Bitcoin accepted here signs in the physical world for any crypto citizen.
According to data acquired by Finbold, As of January 1, 2021, there were 14,040 Bitcoin ATMs in operation; as of Tuesday, December 28, 2021, there are 33,850 ATMs in action, representing an increase of 19,110 ATMs, according to statistics provided by Coin ATM Radar.

There are many reasons why I love LeoFinance. The main reason for this is that I want to continue learning about crypto while being part of a wonderful community.
Maybe spending too much time on Twitter in the last few years made me view LeoFinance as more like crypto Twitter. Now my view has changed so much. During my little experiment with @nathanmars.leo account, I figured out that short contents are not so good for learning and most of the learning happens in the comment section.
Lately, I'm visiting r/CryptoCurrency at least once a day to steal some ideas for my daily creation with LeoFinance. My recent posts are receiving large numbers of comments from my peers. Every single comment I read is teaching me something and honestly, I'm learning more from my comments. So I take this moment to appreciate all the people who make an effort to leave a comment on my post.
I see LeoFinance as r/CryptoCurrency of Reddit these days. Maybe because I'm actively creating, curating and engaging with Leo. Maybe because I spend less time with Twitter. Maybe because I see LeoFinance as a huge community like r/CryptoCurrency with 5 million members in 7-10 years from now.
Creating crypto-related content is not everyone's cup of tea. But when you find out WallStreetBets and Cryptocurrency was the most popular conversation on Reddit in 2021 make me realise the high demand for crypto-related content.

I think we have 10 days to this year's Christmas and 375 days to next year's Christmas.
I was tweeting from last month saying
All I want for Christmas is $2 $HIVE
https://twitter.com/NathanMars7/status/1468069370513350656?s=20
Our global community members enjoyed seeing Hive above $3 recently and most of them were really happy to see Hive flipped Steem.
I found this Tweet on my feed today. And the message is clear and web3 Hive only has owners. In my personal opinion Hive is extremely undervalued.
Source
Anything can happen within 10 days with crypto. Price appreciation in crypto never happens at a linear rate, so I still believe Hive can stay above $2 forever after this Christmas.
So as per the title, we can aim at $5 Hive for next year Christmas. Until then let's keep accumulating more $HIVE,$LEO,$POB,$SPS and $DEC. My aim for next year is to have maximum consistency with Hive.
Honestly, 2021 was a very challenging year for many because of Covid and lockdowns and maybe father Santa can be generous with our Christmas wishes.
Thank you for reading.

I know most people in crypto check prices multiple times daily. In my personal experiences, when we check prices daily we tend to lose the macro perspective and let the emotions make the most of our decision making.
A lot of people new to crypto will panic sell their holding when they see consecutive red days because they fear for the worst. I guess it's okay to be prepared for the worst-case scenario but one should make their investment decision based on their research and they must stick to their long term game plan.
We are driven by emotions far more than we like to admit, not unlike other species. It's just always fascinating to see it play out during crypto bear markets where controlling your emotions would be insanely beneficial.
I guess If you're trading then controlling emotions is extremely important. Some people accumulate more of the coins they truly believe in by selling them during bull and buying the dip. There are all sorts of people are in crypto. All I want to say is I'm writing this post to myself and trying to educate myself while sharing my perspective on things.
Even though I'm talking about controlling emotions, I also still learning and finding ways to control emotions not just crypto but also some other aspects of life.
When in doubt, zoom out It's not so easy to think long term. When you hear people telling you they sold Bitcoin at $20 because they failed to zoom out. And we have people who sold Hive at $0.20 in our community too.
The harsh truth is that only the strongest make the most money in crypto.
https://twitter.com/AshleyPurdy/status/1469987544414760961?s=20
Yeah but not everyone has had Bitcoin since 2010, I just started in September, and lost everything I gained in October, I'm not selling, hodling and buying dips, but this is very frustrating.
HODLing can be frustrating for many. We just need to find a way to see the bigger picture with crypto.

Yesterday, I read a My Hive Story... What's Yours? from @acesontop and commented on his post. When I was reading the post I was thinking to myself that I could actually write a book about my Hive and Steem journey. This morning I woke up a comment from @snook asking me to participate. So I'm writing this post straight after responding to her comment because this initiative is worth it. So let me start.
From what I read on the post of Adrian and the comments, it seems that @snook, @shadowspub and @whatsup are "the trend leaders" so I'll say a big thank you to them for making this happen.
This was probably the pivotal moment of my journey with our community. I was happily developing a community called DtubeFamily777 with Dtube voluntarily. Steemit inc laying off 70% of the workforce made me pivot what I was doing with Steem. I even offered to work for Ned for free to help Steemit.inc and I got no response. So started #Seven77 challenge on Twitter to hunt investors and partnership for Steem. However, during this Twitter movement, I completely got burned out and I even forget the main reason we started this challenge in the first place.
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
How long have you been on the Blockchain? First signed up to Steem in June 2017 and add Steem to my investment portfolio. Only in January 2018 started writing blogs with steemit as a hobby. So the answer is 4 plus years ago.
What was your background in cryptocurrency when you first came to the Blockchain? I went all-in with Crypto in early 2017 as a long term investor. So since starting my Steem hobby, I was travelling full time while educating myself about the fundamentals of cryptocurrency. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to teach/explain to most of the people I met during my solo backpacking. I even gifted free $BTC and $ETH for a few people, so they can get started with crypto. So I would say when I started with Steem, My plan was to continue learning crypto through reading.
What was your background in writing when you first came to the Blockchain? I had never blogged prior to joining Steem, However, I had vlogging some experience with YouTube. I never liked writing since I was a kid and I always loved maths and problem-solving. English not being my first language, made it even more challenging, Thanks to Hive and my writing skills have become much much better. I want to say my creativity has improved a lot because of Hive.
How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain? Absolutely no one. I earned my place and name by contributing to others and different projects within our community.
How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain? Of course, by engaging on-chain and building genuine relationships. Watching vlogs of people made it easier to connect with them.
Who did you look up to when you first came to the Blockchain? Almost everyone in our community.
How would you describe your first three months on the Blockchain? The first three months were so slow, I almost don't remember that much. However, I wrote a few blogs and engaged with others' content. Even got into some arguments with people who used bid bots to comment. Gradually I was able to connect with a few people via upvotes and comments.
Has being a part of the Blockchain changed you in any way for the good? Hell yes. I have experienced some extreme challenges because I took extreme ownership. I would say I become stronger and wiser because of Hive. I certainly feel rich being part of our creative community. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to empower fellow creators.
What is your favorite memory from your time on the Blockchain? Of course, It will be steem festival 3 in Poland!
Nothing can replace meeting people in real life. Can't wait for the next real-life Hive Festival.
Saying hello doesn't have an ROI. It's about building relationships.
That was about it. What's your story?
Thank you for reading.

I think it was November 2020, I first become Hive witness. I didn't really know how to set everything up in the first place. However, our global Hive community members have really helped me out. So I'm forever grateful for the help I received.
During my 3 months break from Hive from June 2021 to deal with some personal life issues, I didn't update my node to run the new hard fork version (My node was missing blocks!) and I had many messages from our community members asking if they could help. Basically, I failed to manage my witness server. So I should think twice before I take this responsibility. I feel I'm ready for this and I'm confident I can avoid this kind of thing happening again.
Most of the Hive Witness seems to be software developers, so I asked myself it's kind of odd for a person like me to become Hive Witness.
Community development is as much valuable as Technology development.
So I should really be running a Witness node and participating in the blockchain governance. I try not to do play status games because, like crypto, Hive is a positive-sum game. Always trying to add value to our Hive network.
For example, I know there are many different views regarding downvotes. Me, becoming a witness will definitely make many of our community members happy and with long term thinking, I can be someone who can influence major governance decisions related to Hive.
Entrepreneurs are heroes in our society. They fail for the rest of us.
I failed many times with our Steem/Hive community and me putting more skin in the game with Hive can increase my odds to build something valuable for our global community.

I thought I try something new today with my daily LeoFinace crypto content creation. So I spend some time on Crypto Twitter to write today's post. When our LeoFinance community grows in numbers, LeoFinance can become better than Crypto Twitter.
I said in my previous posts and I will say it again. I'm happy to see my old Steem friends coming back and creating content with LeoFinance.
I found 3 Tweets and shared a personal story with my first finding.
I always respect people who take risks and
I couldn't HODL Steem and I will share my personal story explaining the reasons in another post. In this post, I will share why I couldn't HODL my 40K HP. Looking back I have no regrets and deep down I know I'm getting better with HODL mentality and getting better at maintaining consistency. I sold all my Steem and I HOLDed 25% Hive that's an improvement. I took 10 months break from Steem and 4 months break from Hive and that's an improvement with sustaining my accumulation.
If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.
I can be proud of the things that I did during my Steem time and now with Hive. Most of the time we cant measure wealth only in financial terms. I guess most important thing is to remember the lessons learned.
I'm good at telling a story in writing. However, I would like to share some of my personal stories about why I had to sell 75% Hive HODLed with my last power down. I came back to Hive in June last year after a 10 months break from our Steem/Hive community. I was living in Japan with my wife and son when decided to take a break from steem. Taking a break from Steem was one of the hardest decisions to make in my life. I just couldn't openly communicate with our community and explain the reasons why I'm taking a break. My wife had no idea what I was going through and I had no idea I could get out of the situation that I was in. However, I had faith that I will bounce back. After the first few weeks of not knowing what to do, I decided to move back to London by myself, a place I knew very well and London was my home for almost 20 years. I started my new life chapter in London with almost $25k debt. Asked my friends and family for some help and fortunately, no one really helped as I kept most things inside me. Even though I had some relatives who lived in the UK, I didn't want to stay with them and because I had to obey their rules or at least satisfy some of their expectations. So I was living at $12-20 hostels while working at two minimum wage jobs and I hardly spent money on anything living extremely frugally. The only expense was my accommodation cost. And I want even extreme and started to sleep on the streets, so I could save a little more money. So 2 jobs and sleeping in the streets continued few weeks. As more income start to flow into my life, I challenged myself to go back to co-corporate world and start applying for jobs. Within the first week of applying using LinkedIn, I got offered a job paying £40K per annum. I'm happy with getting an offer with my first interview. What I was most excited about is that person who hired me was the co-founder of SkyScanner and my opportunity to learn from him was the major factor that I stopped applying for any other jobs.
It was December 2019 and I had one year plan to pay off my debt and repair our relationship and live together with the family in the UK. I took baby steps to reinvent myself and create a brand new me. 3 months later, Covid hit the world and I lost the Job. My company failed to look after me and they couldn't even arrange the furlough payment that was offered by the British government. I must admit I was blaming my employer and the government initially but I actually took covid as an opportunity for me to get back with Crypto and Hive. So I started making new plans to pay off my debt and reunite with my family. One of my old friends from Denmark reach out to me and we're having some conversations about covid and life. We had multiple phone conversations on the phone to discuss my moving to Denmark temporarily during the lockdown and that make it easier for me to live with my family immediately. So I didn't think too much and pack my 21 items. Thanks to a minimalist lifestyle, I was the ability to move to Denmark without any delay with only 21 material possessions.
Sorry, this story is getting longer than I imagined.
After living with my friend's house in Denmark for 2 months, I helped him renovate his house and planned to bring my wife and son to Denmark. Me and friend couldn't get on really well and every single day I thought about getting back into Crypto and I couldn't do it while living at my friend's place. So one thing was clear that I wanted to get back into crypto. So I moved back to London again.
These are days when the world was in lockdown. I struggled a make any decisions on reuniting with my family. However, I decided that I'm going to start with Hive again. Almost a year past and so much had happened. The two main problems stayed unsolved. Debt and relationship. Our relationship problems got much bigger and me and partner were so close to getting a divorce. So I took a small break from Hive in June this year. I had 40K Hive staked that time and I knew I could sell my Hive and pay off my debt. I learned that my debt problem can be fixed easily but my repairing our relationship is a slow process.
During my Hive break, I worked at 3 jobs and repaired (improved) my relationship with my wife. I choose to be Homeless for a few weeks during this break. I could say these three months probably have taught me extremely valuable lessons. I discover more about myself. I probably have to write a separate post titled "what I learned being Homeless".
A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought - they must be earned.
Even though the first 4 years of crypto didn't bring much financial return, I certainly feel that I cultivated a calm mind. I guess only calm minded people can HODL and make good judgements.
Now I can happily end this post saying that I couldn't HODL 40K Hive but I could HODL our family together.
It's impossible for Governments to ban Bitcoin - @RD_btc
MicroStrategy is keep buying more Bitcoin regardless of the price - @Blockworks_
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=nathanmars/otlcfzyu
Extreme people get extreme results. Maybe I'm not a normal person.
I'm a little hesitant to write this post but I'm very happy to begin sharing some of the worst experiences now when Hive is more than $2. I feel happy that I can finally be able to share the lessons that I learned from my own life experience.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
Few months before I went all-in with crypto. In early 2017, I decided to move to silicon valley so that I can learn from the best entrepreneurs and build a meaningful business/company. Since quitting my job in 2014, I always wanted to build something Big and become a millionaire. I thought being in a committed relationship was holding me back from becoming the person I wanted to be. So I and my partner entered into an open relationship (This allowed me to do anything I want without seeking approval from anyone) and I arrived in San Francisco a few days later. After spending a few days there I decided I'm going to build a business around travel. So I went to Honolulu Hawaii. Because I had lots of money in the bank and some Bitcoins plus ETH, I never had a money problem back then. The first month, I was living in AirBnb paying $50 plus per night. Also, I was renting a Jeep and bought a surfboard. During my time in Honolulu, I took many homeless people to dinner and spend time with them. Sometimes I bought them clothes and try to help them to get a job. I did these things from bottom of my heart without expecting anything in return. I would say that I had an abundant mindset back then.
During the time that I lived in Honolulu, I made so many friends and some of them were homeless people. I had this idea in my head that I wanted to experiment living homeless and soon I found myself sleeping on the beach, sometimes sleeping back of my Jeep.
However, this little experiment only lasted a few days and I was able to find an awesome hostel by the beach for $20 per night in Honolulu.
While I was staying in this hostel, I made the decision to go all-in with Crypto and it's probably the best decision that I made in my entire life so far. Since going all-in with crypto I become homeless Twice. First during my break from Steem then recently the little break from Hive.
It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything
All I wanted to say is that I learned to be humble because of those experiences. In the past, I was ashamed to tell other people about what I've been through. Now I'm slowly and slowly I'm learning to be fearless.
Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real
I want to be real. So I will share both stories of how I bounce back from being homeless situation in between my all-in with crypto journies very soon.
I remember asking someone who appeared to be homeless in Hawaii, and he responded to me
I'm houseless, Hawaii is my Home. So don't even dare call me homeless in my homeland.
Maybe I could say, I'm houseless and crypto is my second home.

Since September this year, I did write consistently for almost 50 something days. However last 10 days have been quite challenging and I'm confident that I will get back to writing consistently with leofinance very soon.
Enough about me. Let's talk about our leofinance community.
I have been reading so many leofinance articles (and learning so much from it). Over the last year, leofinance community is growing and there are many new people who are now writing crypto articles on leofinance. I truly want to encourage as many creators as possible by upvoting and engaging.
In today's crypto question, I wanted to find out your favorite LeoFinance Blogger so that I can also learn more about crypto by reading their bliogs.
Ps. Hope you're enjoying the Hive pump.
