Does God give us more than we can handle? Short and simple answer - YES. The Bible does not teach that God gives us what we can handle. Instead, it teaches us that we will endure more than we can handle, but that He is there with us through it all. So many of us go through things that bring us to rock bottom, or make us feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but in those times we have a God who is still GOOD and ready with open arms to embrace us and comfort us when we call on Him. Check out today's episode as I give more depth and detail as to why I hate the phrase "God doesn't give us more than we can handle."

Check out the articles below if you are interested to see why I lean so heavily on this phrase being inaccurate!

Do you ever feel like all you do throughout the day is compare yourself to others? Things like…”I wish this” or “I hope I’m like that” or ”what do they think of me, my family, my things?”  and so on, then you are NOT alone!

I often DAILY find myself comparing who I am, what I’ve done, how I do things, or what I have to others. It is DRAAAAIIINNNIIINNNGGG. I don’t have a Pinterest perfect home, I don’t live a by the book lifestyle, I don’t have a lot of new things, I don’t always feel like I “look” the way I would prefer….BUT I do have a beautiful family, a cozy and comfortable home that houses friends and family, a body that has grown and birthed a child, and a God who loves me endlessly.

Comparison steals our joy when we let it, but it doesn’t have to.

In today's episode, I will talk about motherhood, its importance, value, and honor that I hold in my life. Many people know my story, but not everyone does and I want to share my heart with you on why I find it so important! In a world where women are now basically required to work in order for families to survive, I have chosen to go against the odds and make sacrifices (monetarily) to stay home with my son. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE to work, and some women HAVE to work, NEED to work, or PREFER to work and that is all okay!!! Girl, I support YOU and what needs to be done for your family. Here on my show, I 100% support the ways you best provide for your family. I just thoroughly enjoy sharing my heart and why I feel called to stay home. I hope you enjoy all that I have to share today! And as always, may this series honor and glorify the Lord!

Good morning and welcome to the very FIRST episode of MCWE (Morning Coffee With Em)! I am so glad you are here to tune into all things about life and Jesus! In today's episode, I will be walking you through who I am, where I come from, the "WHY" behind the podcast, and all of that basic stuff. We will also walk through Psalm 119:105-112 and talk about the significance of that in my own life. This week's episode is really just the kick-off before we get to all of the good episodes (ya know, like the gooooood coffee with all of the rich flavor and sweet stuff added).  Today's episode is really soft and airy to get us set up for the weeks to follow.

Thanks again for tuning in! Enjoy!
