With or without the desire for future partnership, a community is necessary for living. If you're in a season of singleness, who you befriend is just as important, if not more important, than who you date. God taught me that every relationship begins with being a good friend. In this episode, I share simple steps to finding quality friends in this world of chaotic adult friendships.

The importance of wellness has become mainstream, providing much-needed space for conversations of acceptance and development. It has also created a widely popular narcissistic space that boasts "wellness" as diets and fads rooted in cutting calories, people, and relationships. In this "new-year, new-me, no-new-friends" environment, how can we take the narcissism out of wellness while prioritizing our health and needs and being mindful of how our growth affects our relationships with others around us?

In today's episode we explore how to grow in our wellness when others, even those closest to us don't agree with our wellness. Often times, people will deem us as "changed" or "disrespectful" for choosing to pursue wellness because being well includes breaking dysfunctional and harmful habits within our lives. Just because our choices affect others, doesn't mean that they are the wrong choice for us. Similarly, just because something is the right choice for you, doesn't mean it'll be accepted by those it affects. So, how do we move forward in our wellness when those choices aren't accepted? More specifically, how do we navigate the changing landscape of our relationships while prioritizing our wellness when the players at stake are life partners, parents, family members, or close friends?
